Honours Classification 榮譽等級（honours）一共分為三級，

一 級 榮 譽 First Class Honours
3.60–4.30
叫 pass。
二 級 榮 譽 Second Class Honours
(2.40–3.59)
There are in total three classes of honours. They are determined by your cGPA. Those who graduate without an honour are classified as “pass”.
甲 等 Division One
3.00–3.59
乙 等 Division Two
2.40–2.99
三 級 榮 譽 Third Class Honours
1.70–2.39
合 格 Pass
1.00–1.69
核心 課 程
Common Core Courses 同 學 必 須 在 頭 三 年 的 課 程 裏 完 成 36 學 分 的 核 心 課 程，即 6 個 核 心 課 程 學 科。（修 讀 雙 學 位 課 程 的 同 學 則 只 須 完 成 24 學 分，即 4 個 核 心 課 程 學 科。）核 心 課 程 學 科 是 校 方 為了 實 行 其 六 大 教 學 目 標 而 推 出 的 新 學 科，共 分 為 4 個 範 疇，分 別 是 科 學 與 技 術（CCST）、人 文 學 科（CCHU）、環 球 議 題（CCGL）和 中 國 的 文 化、國 家 與 社 會 （CCCH）。根 據 校 方 規 定，為 確 保 同 學 有 多 元 化 的 學 習 機 會，同 學 必 須 涉 獵 每 個 範 疇，不 能 只 集 中 攻 讀 其 中 一 個。Common Core 的 比 重 佔 了 不 少，建 議 同 學 多 做 資 料 搜 集，問 問 師 兄 師 姐 的 意 見 才 去 選 科。若 想 了解 更 多，同 學 可 瀏 覽 以下 網 址：http://
tl.hku.hk/common-core-curriculum/ At HKU, you are required to finish 6 Common Core courses, i.e. 36 credits, in the first 3 years of study. (If you are studying a double degree, you only need to complete 4 Common Core courses, i.e. 24 credits.) These courses are designed to provide key common learning experience for students and to broaden their horizons beyond their chosen disciplinary fields of study. Common Core courses come in 4 categories: Scientific and Technological Literacy (CCST), Humanities (CCHU), Global Issues (CCGL), and China: Culture, State and Society (CCCH). Students are required to study courses from all 4 categories, and are not allowed to focus on one category alone. As these courses weigh a lot in terms of credits, you are suggested to do more research so that you can choose the courses that suit you most.
