新生註冊日區域介紹 Zones of Registration Day 經 J U PA S 1 入 學 的 新 生 必 須 先 到 本 部 大 樓 M B 1 0 3 室 或 M B 1 6 7 室 註 冊 成 為 港 大 學 生 。 經 Non-JUPAS或Direct Admission Scheme (DAS) 2 入學的新生則須前往本部大樓一樓MB121 室或MB122室註冊。 之後，新生將會到本部大樓的畢業生議會廳(MB218)向學生會註冊，領取Fr e s h ma n Pack 及Zone Card。新生須於Zone Card上填寫姓名及學科，便可離開畢業生議會廳。在完成 每一個zone後 ， 新 生 均 須 出 示 Zone Card， 讓 工 作 人 員 蓋印。新生每進入一個zone前， 必須出示Zone Card，展示上一個zone的印章（Zone 0及Zone 1除外）。 For JUPAS1 students, please go to MB103 or MB167 for registration. For Non-JUPAS or Direct Admission Scheme (DAS)2 students, please go to MB121 or MB122 for registration.

After that, freshmen will go to the Convocation Room (MB218) to register for The Hong Kong University Students’ Union (HKUSU) and get a Freshman Pack and a Zone Card. Please fill in your name and curriculum on the Zone Card before you leave the Convocation Room. After finishing all the procedures in a zone, freshmen will get a stamp of that zone. Freshmen should show the stamp of the previous zone(s) to the helpers before entering the next zone (except when entering Zone 0 and Zone 1).

Zone 1 踏出本部大樓，新 生會 經 過學苑、校園電視 及普選 評 議員的宣傳位 置。然 後，新 生可依 照 指示 牌及 工作人 員的 指示，前往圖書 館延伸 樓（Zo n e 1 集 合 點）分流 及 集合，在自己 所屬 的 學 院、院 會及學 術屬會 註冊。每 名新 生 必須完成其學院及院會的註冊程序。 新生可在 Zo n e 1 報名參加由院會及學術屬會舉辦的迎新活動，以了解大學生活和認識新同 學，為大學生活作好準備。 After finishing the procedures in Main Building, freshmen will pass through the booths of Undergrad, Campus TV and Popularly Elected Union Councillors. Freshmen should then follow the signs and instructions given by the helpers to go to Library Extension, which is the assembly point for Zone 1. Freshmen are required to finish all registration procedures for their own faculty and depar tment.

In Zone 1, freshmen can join the orientation activities organised by Faculty and Academic societies.

Orientation camps organised by Faculty Societies are commonly known as ‘Big O’ while those organised by Academic Societies are commonly known as ‘Small O’. They provide great oppor tunities for freshmen to know more about university life and meet new friends.

Zone 2 Zo n e 2 位 於 周 亦 卿 樓 及 學 生 會 大 樓 。文化聯會、學社聯會及體育聯會屬 會 一 共 於 學 生 會 大 樓 設 有 6 0 個 攤 位 。 文 化 聯 會 由 16 個 文 化 屬 會 組 成 ， 其 舉 辦 的 活 動 屬 文 化 、藝 術 及 益 智 類 。學 社聯會由 2 0 個學社屬會組成， 屬 會 性 質 包 括 國 際 團 體 、 宗 教 團 體、 社 會 服 務 團 體、 不 同 的 興 趣 小 組 等 等 。體 育 聯 會 由 2 5 個 體 育 屬 會 組 成 ，類 型涵蓋球類、武術、競技運動等。 新 生 可 以 在 Z o n e 2 註 冊 成 為 不 同 屬 會 的 會 員， 以 及 報 名 參 加 它 們 的 迎 新活動。 Zone 2 is located at Chow Yei Ching Building and Union Building. There are 60 booths of clubs from Cultural Association, Independent Clubs Association and Spor ts Association inside Union Building.

Cultural Association is formed by 16 cultural clubs and they will organise activities related to ar t and culture. Independent Clubs Association is formed by 20 clubs, which include international, religious, service and other interest groups. Spor ts Association is formed by 25 clubs that promote different ball games, mar tial ar ts and competitive spor ts. Freshmen can register freely as members of these clubs and join their orientation activities in Zone 2.

Zone 3 Zo n e 3 位 於 邵 逸 夫 平 台 。 此 區 擺 放 了 各 住 宿 及 非 住 宿 舍 堂 的 攤 位。 除 參觀攤位外，新生更可跟隨工作人員到其舍堂參觀，以認識各舍堂獨特 的 文 化。 同 時 ， 新 生 亦 可 報 名 參 加 舍 堂 的 體 驗 營 ， 與 現 任 宿 生 交 流 ， 從 而 幫 助 自己 選 擇 合 適 的 舍 堂 。 Zone 3 is located at Run Run Shaw Podium. Booths of residential halls and non-residential halls can be found there. Freshmen can visit different halls to gain more understanding of their unique culture. Each hall will organise touch camps that offer valuable oppor tunities for freshmen to interact with current hall residents in order to help them choose the suitable halls for themselves.

完成四個區域後，新生必須將已蓋滿3個印章的Zone Card交回位於Zone 3的工作人員 櫃檯，方可離開。 Freshmen may leave the campus after visiting all 4 zones. Before doing so, freshmen should return the Zone Card with 3 stamps to the counter located in Zone 3.

Zone Card • 切記好好 保 管 Z o ne Ca rd ， 把 它 放 在 容 易 取 得 而 又 不 易遺失的地方。 • 一旦遺失 Z o ne Car d ， 新 生 有 機 會 被 要 求 返 回 Z o n e 0 重新註冊。 • 完成每個 區 域 後 ， 請 謹 記 讓 工 作 人 員 於 Z o n e C a rd 上 蓋印。 • Please keep your Zone Card carefully. Since you are going to take it out once in a while, please put it in a handy place.

• If you lose your Zone Card, you may be requested to go back and star t from Zone 0 again.

• Please let the helpers put a stamp on your Zone Card after you finish visiting each zone.

2. 資料搜集 Research 新 生 謹 記 在 註 冊 日 前 做 好 準 備，了 解 各 個 屬 會 和 舍 堂，避 免 當 日 在 面 對 眾 多 選 擇 時 花 多 眼 亂。新 生 可 到 港 大 學 生 會 官 方 網 站 http://hkusu.org/about 查 看 學 生 會 所 有 屬 會 的 網 站。 Freshmen could know more about different clubs, societies and halls before Registration Day by visiting www.hkusu.org/about. Information related to orientation and links to different student organisations can be found there.

3. 謹記守時 Be punctual 為免不 夠時間參 觀 所有心儀屬會，請盡可能在 所屬時段註冊，不 要遲 到！ Please come at the assigned time slot and don’t be late so that you could have enough time to visit each zone.

4. 切忌衝動 Think carefully 各屬會的工作人 員 將施 展 渾身解 數，務求招攬一眾 新 生 加入 屬會及報名參與 迎 新 活 動。面 對 熱 情的招待時，新生切記冷 靜，下任 何決 定前要 三 思，不 要 衝動。 Every organisation will try its very best to invite freshmen to join their orientation activities. Stay calm and think carefully before making any decision.

5. 謹記大學編號 Remember your UID 新生在 大學生涯裏會經常用到大學編號（U I D），請謹記這個十 位 數的號碼。 You will be using your UID a lot throughout your university life so please don’t forget this ten-digit number!

6. 認清楚工作人員 Identify helpers carefully 若新生對索取自己個人 資料的團體有所懷疑，可要求相關人士出示證 件或團體印章。 If you are doubtful towards any organisation that requests for your personal information, you may ask the related personnel to show their identity cards or their society chop.

7. 保留收據 Keep official receipts 新 生付 款參加 活 動 後，謹 記 保留蓋 有屬會印 章 的 收 據，並 詳 閱 退 款 機 制，以便需 要申請 退 款時 使 用。 Each time you pay application fee for an orientation activity, you will be given a receipt with the corresponding society chop on it. Please keep it carefully and read the refund policy thoroughly.
