I can’t begin to tell you how much I am enjoying my D-group. The most meaningful part for me is that I can’t wait to get in the Scripture each day to see how God is going to speak to me that day. Just this past week I was reading in James 4, verses 4 & 7, “You adulterous people! Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the friend of the world becomes the enemy of God…Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” (CSB) In our present culture it’s very easy to get wrapped up in the instant gratification that we see. We want what we want when we want it! This is true even of Christians who get wrapped up in the worldly things. May it be that we learn to wait on God! In Matthew 21:22 it states, “And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.” (CSB) This doesn’t mean God is some cosmic genie that will give you your 3 wishes. It does mean, though, that if we are filled with the Spirit and our hearts and minds are changed by the Spirit, that we will desire the things God desires. Therefore, we pray for that which God wants us to pray. Let’s resolve to be people of God and not people of the world as we go about building the kingdom! I’m excited about what I see God doing at Hillview! I’m just so glad I get to be a part of it!

Dear Hillview family, Felicia and I along with a host of volunteers want to extend our warmest thanks for allowing us to minister to your children and youth. God's blessings have been upon us as we continue to grow in all areas of children and youth ministry. Our Main Street theme for the Children's Wing will be accomplished between March 14 - 16. Please plan to tour the hallway after worship on the 16th. We are in the planning stages for community wide Easter outreach on April 20. VBS is planned for June 23 - 27 from 6 PM to 9 PM. Please reserve this time for your children to attend. Your Pastor and Staff are attending Ministry Safe training to insure we are doing everything possible to insure our children and youth have a safe environment in which to learn about Jesus in. The Lord is continuing to bless our fellowship with many new members and they say, “Hillview feels like we have come home.” The Lord has placed His Good Hand on us and we want to be very careful to give Him all the praise and glory. He is very good and I praise His Name.

We launched our Replicate Discipleship Groups over the last couple of weeks. These groups are in God’s Word daily, journaling, memorizing scripture, meeting weekly and holding each other accountable. Over the last three years, we have seen the Lord use this intentional discipleship ministry to grow person after person. The Lord’s Great Commission to “make disciples” is truly coming to pass as we make disciples who will in turn make more disciples. The Lord is very good and I praise His Holy Name.
