n Monday the community of Mashishing Ext. 9 (Informal Settlement) marched to the Thaba Chweu Municipality (TCM) in Lydenburg to hand over a memorandum. The Municipal Manager, Mr Thoka Patrick Kgoale, together with the Executive Mayor's office studied the memorandum and will respond to the protestors. The municipality was informed by law enforcement that the march was peaceful. “As the municipality we consider our communities concerns in a very serious light. We will unpack the memo and engage with the stakeholders relevant to unlock the issues raised. We would like to thank the SAPS for maintaining law and order and also the community for relaying the concerns to the municipality so peacefully,” said Mr Puleng Mapheto, Communications and Marketing Manager TCM. ~ Michelle Boshoff
