LODEWIJK BALJON landscape architects LODEWIJK BALJON landscape architects’ work demonstrates the importance of the context, both time and place. The history of the site is a starting point for the future. Enhancing the character of the place, combined with an analytical treatment of the programme, forms the basis of the design. The activities of the firm range from the garden to the city. Interest in the complexity of the situation and the programme, and inspiration from the arts and crafts aspect is the binding component in the projects. Analysing the given situation and programme, researching the context and its potential, and sketching the consequences, results in an integral plan, where all possible aspects fall perfectly together.

His work spans from product design, mainly focusing on public space furniture and spaces to larger scale architecture focusing on the development of materiality and production.
