PANORAMA This master plan project located in the Dongcheng District transforms the existing 16.5 ha site into a sustainable high density mixed-used urban park. A one-of-a-kind multi-level pedestrian link cuts through a typical Beijing block linking two major roads, metro and train stations. Office and SOHO towers, hotels, services apartments, and exclusive luxury residential towers emerge from a dune-like topography where shopping and cultural activities weave into a series of plazas, event spaces and sunken gardens.

Located in the central Nanchong city, Jiangdong River Plaza is an urban complex project, including department stores, commercial pedestrian street, office buildings, hotels, etc. This project consists of a two-floor underground shopping mall and a parking garage, a four-floor commercial pedestrian street and department store and four buildings for hotels, serviced apartments and office towers, with the height from 75m to 99m respectively. The graphic design of these buildings mainly focuses on the design of smooth curves and organic arc-shapes, which forms an integrated image with the park to the west of the base and then makes the west park visually and graphically extend into the project. Business model, with the theme of the complex for business street, creates a leisured and fashioned city plaza. The leaf-like glass canopies are set vertically in undulation everywhere on the pedestrian, which makes colorful lighting effects and the city a bursting and interesting commercial area. The arch of the outer walls of four towers and the method for treating the two-folding forcades form a scenic and dynamic shape. Perfectly matched with the lighting effects by mellifluously vertical mental strips, the facades of outer walls are in compact division, highlight the arched volume and the outlines of the folding forcades of the outer walls, and enrich the layers of the facades. And the methods of handling the arc and folding forcades convey a sense of peace and a sense of dynamic respectively, which represent the style and features of modern architecture.

The Yellow River Delta International Plaza -- a rising city complex, is located in the economic and technological development zone of Dongying city in Shandong province, at the intersection of dongsi road and fuqian street, close to guangzhou road in the east, canal road in the west, dongsi road in the west, fuqian street in the south. It covers an area of 235000 square meters, a total construction area of 510000 square meters. Its volume rate is 1.65, the building density is 18.19%, the rate of green land is 18.19%. It has 3686 parking spaces, including 2876 under the ground and 810 on the ground. The project mixes the ocean and inland, traditional and modern, massiness and development dialogue under the prospective principle of academic concepts and technical guidance. It builds an urban commercial landmark integrating business office, headquarters economy, conference exhibition and commercial leisure into one unit, following the comprehensive value development model of "economy, environment, society and culture ". The Yellow River Delta International Plaza as the first landmark of urban complex project, using forward-looking and scientific method of planning, will promote the economic growth in Dongying, increase the industrial energy level, promote the regional social vitality and optimize the quality of urban environment and guarantee the highlighting of the four goals of the Yellow River delta new culture traits . Block B--world trade center, is adjacent to the world trade center of the Yellow River delta mansion, which is based on the design concept of ecological low carbon and business high-end. It pays more attention to environmental protection and ecological consciousness on the basis of strengthening the function of the business office. An ideal modern service enterprises’ cluster is built for top-end people who is wild about low-carbon business and healthy and sustainable lifestyles. New ideas of production mode is bound to bring more international transformation in industry quality in Dongying, piloting the Yellow River delta’s efficient ecological development potential power, and revealing a new demonstration course of ecological value. Block C - Dongying World City, is next to dongsi road in the west, which integrates business office, business shopping and entertainment into a large-scale commercial complex project. The area is the core part of the integral commercial function of Yellow River Delta International Plaza, including business supporting facilities of all size such as department stores, restaurants, supermarkets and boutiques. It is the most perfect district in business supporting facilities of the overall project. At the same time, the high-end international supporting facilities of the 5-A office building and humanized management services are the best platform for enterprise development. The project site is located in the south of the bridge of Dadong Street, and it is adjacent to urban green belt zone and the urban main road in the north and in the east respectively. Having a superior geographical position, the site has beautiful sceneries with Gaopingba district government of Nanchong city, white tower park and the south gate ecological park as its surroundings. The transportation of the site is convenient, for it is adjacent to Jiangdong road extension cord in the west, the 4th bridge on Jialing River in the north and the Chengnan expressway viaduct in the south. It covers a total land area of 76,914 m2 with an overall floor area of 476,541 m2 within which 339,397 m2 is used for above ground buildings and 137,144 m2 for underground buildings. We take “the silk road” as the project’s theme and adopt a modern concise building style, which will reflect an ecological and technological concept of reasonable and sustainable development. In order to avoid the heavy and complicated architectural modeling, the building volumes are mainly presented by simple block and strip shapes. The form and shape of the buildings should reflect the internal function as well as the harmony with the surrounding environment. The heights of the buildings are different and the layout is arranged in picturesque disorders both horizontally and vertically. This makes the skyline being seemed orderly undulated and also makes the vision of scenery, nearby or in the distant, more various. Multi-storey buildings lay along the river, while the high- rise buildings are close to the city main roads, which makes each building obtains the good view of the landscape along the river, and at the same time makes the plan present multi-level and picturesque landscape. In the design of podiums, we distort and stretch the commercial block in order to increase the length along the street and to make the landscape being more diverse in the sense of levels. After the changes, the unilateral

length of the business area along the street is about 740 meters, and it increases some 60 meters in length compared to the linear design. The site is being more effectively used and the curve layout echoes with the theme of “ the silk road”, providing more colorful sensory experience to people who come here for shopping. Throughout the entire base, the flowing commercial inside street occupies the first two floors and it forms obvious guidance, which leads people to various shops and makes business atmosphere inside the base more coherent and unified. On the premise of maintaining the consistency, we segment and integrate the building volumes and keep a space at the city road node to form the entrance of the business street, meanwhile by adopting the traditional method of “view borrowing” which is used in designing Chinese landscape, make the waterfront landscape stretch into the city life. As for the design of the towers, we will put all of the six towers in angled form to ensure that each tower can maximally achieve the waterfront view with no sight being blocked between the towers. Seeing the site from Rainbow Bridge, people will see several towers lay from high to low in winding configuration, showing a mascot dragon image. The main tower lies in the northernmost area of the site and it has three sides standing on the ground, highlighting the tower’s tallness and straightness. It symbolizes the head of the mascot dragon and it becomes the landmark of the overall development. The design of the tower facade continuously echoes with the theme of “the silk road”. On the premise of having no bad effect on the internal function, we cut the tower facade into two parts with a gentle curve. And the left part adopts vertical line, while the right part adopts horizontal line; two kinds of lines combine and soar spirally, presenting an image of a mascot dragon.

本项目地块位于大东街大桥南侧,北面和东面与城市绿化 景观带及城市主干道相邻。基地地理位置优越,周边有南充市高 坪坝区政府,白塔公园及南门生态公园,风景优美。基地西侧毗 邻邻江东中路延长线,北侧有嘉陵江四桥,南侧有城南高速高架 桥,交通便利。基地总用地面积为 76,914 平方米。建筑总面积 476,541 平方米,其中地上建筑面积 339,397 平方米,地下建筑 面积 137,144 平方米。 此次方案我们以“丝绸之路”为主题。建筑本身我们采用现 代简约风格,体现简洁理性与可持续发展的生态科技理念。建筑 体量以整体,简约的块状和条状为主,避免出现繁复堆砌的建筑 造型。建筑形态与外形应反映内部功能并与周边环境想协调。 建筑布局在横向及纵向上,均采用不同的高度错落布置,使 天际线起伏有致,近景远景层次丰富。多层建筑沿江布置,高层 建筑则靠近城市主干道布置,使各栋建筑均能获得良好的沿江景 观,同时使方案呈现如水墨山水般的多层次,深景致。裙房方面, 我们在设计中,将商业街体块扭曲,拉伸,以期增加沿街面的长 度及创造出更加丰富的建筑景观层次。变化后,商业单侧沿街面 长度约为 740 米,较直线方案增加长度约 60 米,更加有效的利用 基地,并且曲线布局与“丝绸之路”的主题相呼应,为来此购物 的人群带来更加多彩的感官体验。连续流畅的商业内街在一至二 层贯穿整个基地,商业展示面最大化的同时,形成明显的指向, 引导商业人流到达各个店铺,使基地内商业氛围更加连贯统一。 在保证连贯性的前提下,我们将建筑体量切分整合,在城市道路 节点处留出通透空间,形成商业街入口的同时,用中国传统园林 中“借景”的手法,使滨水景观延伸到城市生活中。塔楼方面, 我们将 6 栋塔楼呈角度布置,使每栋塔楼都能获得最大的滨水景 观面,且各塔楼间,无视线遮挡。从彩虹桥向基地观望,几栋塔 楼由高到低蜿蜒排布,呈祥龙之态。主体塔楼布置在基地最北侧, 塔楼三面落地,凸显挺拔,象征龙头,彰显整体建筑群的地标性。 塔楼立面设计延续丝绸之路的主题,在对室内使用无任何影响的 前提下,以一条柔美的曲线将塔楼立面切分成两块,左侧采用竖 向线条,右侧采用横向线条,横竖对比结合,盘旋上升,亦呈现 出祥龙之态。 54

Situated along Huatai Road in the third ring of the urban metropolis of Shanghai, the Shanghai Wuzhou International plaza embodies the energy and vibrancy of the cities distinct urban environment. Inspired by traditional Chinese concepts of Yin and Yang, the “Urban Canyon” is organized as two nested rock-like volumes which have been broken apart to reveal a flowing canyon condition which connects the project to the urban fabric of the city. 60

The northern block features an enclosed 4 story luxury retail shopping podium anchored by the corporate headquarters of developer Hong Kong Wuzhou International Group and a 5 star hotel tower. The southern block is composed of a 4 level retail, lifestyle and entertainment complex anchored by two office towers. The fluid canyon condition connects the two entry plazas of the site with a “river” of free-standing detached retail units with a network of


connective sky bridges, while simultaneously curating a series of framed views within the site. A series of green space “islands” are distributed within the river to provide natural shading and to soften the urban condition. At the mouth of each canyon is a landscaped entry plaza framed by the portal created by its respective towers. Integrated landscaping, furnishings, and lighting within the plaza hardscape are arranged in pulse like formations which stimulate and encourage visual and pedestrian activity. The dynamic patterning of the plaza is further expressed in the striated articulations that define the pattern of the cladding. This pattern embodies the pulses of activity and

urban energy of the city to merge façade with roof and podium with tower, which is conceptualized as the river that has carved the canyon. The façade is to be clad with RHEINZINK standing-seam titanium zinc panels, while the roof system utilizes RHEINZINK double standing-seam titanium zinc panels. The roof area is equipped with interior gutters at its lowest points and is covered with perforated standing-seam profiles to protect it from soiling. The building material needs no maintenance because of the material’s patina, which develops during the course of natural weathering and protects it from corrosion. The patina is a layer of zinc carbonate, which regenerates itself. 61


CONCEPT 上海五洲国际广场位于上海三环线上的华泰路,显示出了上海这座 城市独有的都市生机与活力。 受中国传统思想“阴”和“阳”的启发, 该“城市峡谷”的设计像两个嵌套在一起的岩石,呈现分裂的状态给人流 动的感觉,使项目与城市建筑相连。北部区域内,四层高的奢侈品零售购 物裙楼置于项目开发商香港五洲国际集团总部和一座五星级酒店塔楼的 环绕之中。南部区域由一座四层高、集零售、生活休闲与娱乐于一体的建 筑综合体和两座办公塔楼组成。流动的“峡谷”将位于两个入口处的广场 与自由分布的零售店相连。这些零售店构成了峡谷中的“河流”,彼此间 又通过天桥相连接。这样,自然地在区域内策划出了一系列有特色的景观。 一系列绿色空间“岛”分布于“河流”中,增添了自然之感并使都市感

消减。每个峡谷入口处都有一座广场,因为各自的塔楼而显示出架构感。 广场景观内融合的景致、陈设以及灯光的律动感设计为视觉及行人的活 动带来冲击感。 带有条纹的覆面进一步显示出了广场的动态感。通过使外立面与屋 顶、裙楼与塔楼相融合,这种设计显示出了活动的律动和城市的活力,这 些都是通过峡谷中的“河流”而体现出来的。外立面采用莱菌辛克设缝钛 锌板,屋顶系统采用莱菌辛克双层设缝钛锌板。屋顶最低处装有内部排水 槽,并由带孔咬缝板材覆盖,以防止其腐蚀。由于在自然天气条件下形成 的抗腐蚀氧化层,建筑材料无需维护。该薄层为一层碳酸锌,可自发生成。

This mixed-use development in Greater Noida Extension will act as a commercial hub for the developing region. Five levels of retail and a green terraced roof form a shopping and entertainment platform directly connected to 45,000 sqm of office space distributed in two towers. Experiential Healthy Life Corridor Because of the special geographical position, another important feature of this project is to introduce a healthy life concept, taking the need of people who like sports and love life preservation into consideration. It is reflected on a ramp for life and movements which goes through the ground, facades and roofs. Inspired by Qinzhou’s culture of ocean and sailing boat, vast streamlined forms are used, connecting ramps, roofs and the façade of the towers. The non-linear surfaces along the street not only greatly increase its commercial display area, but also form concave or convex inner and outer courts as well as city squares which well accept the influx of people coming from the sports places. The roofs of the buildings are equipped with abundant walking systems, being accessible for people walking and exercising, making the whole site practically connect with sports. Its distinct theme improves the competitiveness of the site. Return Green to the City Returning greening to the urban space is the starting point of the design of the project, and how to use a lifting green

roof is a problem that we need to solve. The aerial space not only has a function of connecting first floor squares, but also lift the green space to the roof, playing an important role in returning the open space to the city. The ramp system releases healthy energy We creatively add a ramp system surrounding the whole buildings’ outer contours, which will reuse maximumly the green space covered by the original buildings. In this system, we follow these design principles, trying our best to make it ingeniously balanced with the function of the original building and the roof greening. 1. The slope of this ramp system is controlled between 8%12%, suitable for people walking comfortably. 2. The ramp is not directly down to the ground, but finishes its ground connection through the vertical transportation for a short distance within the business area, thus without influencing the commercial value of the first floor. 3. The ramp has small sized open entrances on the business floors, which will activate the vitality of the high-floor business. 4. The green facade creatively integrates with the green roof, forging a model of energy saving and health.

体验式健康生活廊道 由于地理位置的特殊性,本方案另一重大特征在于引入了健康 生活的理念,将爱好运动与养生的人群需要纳入其中,体现在一条 贯穿地面、立面与屋面的运动生活坡道。受启发于钦州海洋与帆船 文化,使用了大量的流线型造型,将坡道、屋面以及塔楼的立面串 联起来。非直线性的沿街面不仅大大提高了沿街的商业展示面,由 其形成的凹凸的内庭外院以及城市广场很好的承接了来自运动场所 涌入的大量人流。建筑屋顶配备丰富的步行系统可供市民散步运动, 使整个地块切实的与体育相结合。其鲜明的主题性提升了地块的竞 争力。 绿化还原给城市 将绿化还原给城市空间是本方案的设计起点,如何使用一个抬 起的绿化屋面是我们需要解决的问题。架空空间除了有将首层各个 广场联系起来的作用,将绿化空间抬高到屋面。起到了还原城市开

放空间的作用。 坡道系统释放健康能量 我们创造性地加上了一个环绕整个建筑外围轮廓线的坡道系 统,可以将原本被建筑覆盖的绿化空间尽可能地被重新使用起来。 在这个系统中,我们遵循这样的设计原则,使其尽量与原建筑功能 与屋面绿化巧妙地平衡着: 1. 这个坡道系统坡度被控制在 8%~12% 之间,适合人们舒适 的行走。 2. 坡道并不直接落地,而是在营业面以内通过短距离的垂直 交通完成与地面的交接,不会影响首层的商业价值。 3. 坡道在商业层中有开放的小型入口。激活高层商业的活力。 4. 立面绿化与屋面绿化创造性的融为一体,打造节能与健康 时代典范。

Vanke One City, a large-scale mixed-use development in the Yantian District of Shenzhen, promises to return the existing government center to local prominence while introducing many exciting new public amenities to the area. Located between Wutong Mountain, the city’s tallest peak, and Mirs Bay, the project will feature a 200-meter office tower, several residential buildings, a five-star hotel, four restaurant pavilions and a three-level shopping complex containing a movie theater, food court and department store. In master-planning Vanke One City, 5+design re-

established and celebrated the view corridor between the forested summit and the sea. The project’s retail components were designed to reflect their connection to the site, with building forms and materials changing between the mountains and the bay. Exterior wood slats will provide dappled light like a tree canopy as well as evoke a boardwalk. The park at the project’s center will serve as the district’s principal green space. Accessible from nearby residences, tourist beaches and beyond, it will offer a man-made inlet, playgrounds and playing fields, refreshment kiosks and a large central green.

The project is close to Xin river, flowing from east to west, which is very rare, and its river bank is the most core business areas. The project is divided into two blocks, one is in the east and one in the west, which cross through the municipal roads in the center of the city. It comprises five-star hotels, offices, shopping centers and high-end residence. This project will be a landmark building for entertainment, shopping and housing in Shangrao. Planning and Layout The project distributes along the Xin river, and its layout is as follows: five-star hotels, offices and shopping centers are in the front, high-rise residence at the back, and the southern land is high, while the northern land is low, to reflect the maximization of the usage of each function. The west block takes the advantage of the function of the original stadium to design ground and underground floor. The sunken plaza is set on the east road along the river to connect the underground space

with the outer space. The richness of the space level maximizes the project’s business benefits. Hotels, offices and shopping centers are set in the east block. The arrangement of putting the hotel podium and multilayer commercial tenants on the same floor forms a free, fluent, dynamic continuous pedestrian zone, to realize the multiple first-layer concept by taking the commercial plaza and elevation difference into consideration. It gives access to the stream of people in the surrounding areas. It also introduces the stream of people in the riverside park into this project as much as possible. The architectural design (commercial) This project regards river and mountain view as the biggest highlight to reveal the modern sense of this project and promote its noble qualities.The facade uses various materials to make building blocks to interlock with each other to form rich space with vitality. The architectural appearance corresponds to the theme of water. It uses smooth curve as the main technique to highlight its modern and iconic features to make it a beautiful dynamic building, a business card and a city landmark.. (housing)High-rise residence in the project has perfect and reasonable unit design , with different features for different rooms..All the houses are designed with unblocked sight., striving to maximize the utilization of the landscape, which makes river landscape, residential landscaping, urban greening and roof greening go into each household tactfully to improve the quality of life. The design methods such as the introduction of wide landscape balcony, house gardens, and etc. show fully the quality of luxury houses, and make sure that the living condition is comfortable and full of fun..

管线综合 Pipeline Comprehensive Analysis 本项目紧靠一条极为稀少自东向西流向的 信江,江畔是最核心的商业区域。项目分东西 两个地块,横跨通过城市中心的市政道路,集 五星级酒店、办公、购物中心及高端住宅组成, 项目将打造成整个上饶市休闲娱乐、购物及居 住的标志性建筑。 规划布局 项目沿信江的展开,其布局结合五星级酒 店、办公及购物中心在前,高层住宅在后,南 高北低错落有致的布局,体现各功能的利益最 大化。 西地块有机结合了原体育馆功能的归还, 巧妙的设置于地面层和地下一层,沿滨江东路 面设置下沉广场,增加了地下空间的对外连接, 空间层次丰富使项目商业达到最大化。 东地块设置酒店、办公及购物中心,酒店 裙房与多层商业平铺布置,形成自由流畅,活 力连续的步行街区,并结合商业广场及高差, 行程多首层概念。并且有机地将购物中心与周 边地块的人流接入,以及将滨江公园人流最大 可能引入到本项目中。 建筑设计 (商业)本项目以江景及山景做为最大的 呼应点,体现了项目现代感和提升了尊贵品质。 建筑立面利用各种材质组合形成体块相互咬合, 错落丰富的空间造型彰显活力。建筑外形与水 的主题相对应,采用平滑弧线为主要手法,凸 显现代感、标志性,形成优美的建筑动势,成 为城市的名片和标志。 ( 住宅 ) 项目内住宅为高层住宅,户型面积 配比完善、合理,对于不同户型提供不同的住 居特点。所有住宅做到视线无遮挡,无对视, 力求景观资源最大化利用,让江面景观、住区 绿化、城市绿化、屋顶绿化巧妙的融入到每一户, 提升生活品质。引入大面积景观阳台、入户花 园等设计手法,尽显尊贵豪宅品质,保证居住 的舒适性,增加生活情趣。

International architecture practice, HWCD has developed a series of mixed-used towers located at Yangtze River Delta. The team of The Nanjing Studio 14 submitted the project as part of a competition to establish an important hub in the center of Nanjing, capital of the Jiangsu province. As a design firm they specialize in urban planning, architecture and interior. Every project undertaken incorporates the local cultures into the design process and has an emphasis on research development. In order to have a firmly rooted cultural and environmental context HWCD architects come from varying international and domestic backgrounds and work together to produce original and exclusive designs under a modern architecture paradigm. The design team drew inspiration from the area, looking at the language of traditional local paintings depicting the landscape, while still working within what is a very modern and expanding metropolis. Nanjing was conceived as a ‘high-tech base of innovation.’ The use of a variety of new technologies, such as rainwater harvesting, solar collectors, and geo heat pumps are

implemented for environmental protection and energy saving purposes. Studio 14 entry attempts to combine the traditional, natural and modern in a harmonious addition to the skyline, thus far creating a new landmark for the city. The development houses a multitude of uses, office facilities, mall, leisure facilities, sports and public space, as well as a research component. The solution was a series of towers, two ultra-high rise and one high-rise, occupying a base land area of 109,100 square meters, connecting these are indoor and outdoor public space, landscape and vegetated trellises which climb over the towers striking forms. The shape of the towers evokes the traditional mountain paintings; their tapering forms recalling the angular ‘faces’ of the mountains. Around this, systems of landscape, water and circulation flow, inspired by the local hanging gardens often depicted in the local artwork. The towers use a limited palate of materials, predominantly brick and glass curtain walling, the grey-blue brick inspired by the ancient city walls of China and the sense of scale they inspire. Local planting and materials help fully integrate this new development into the area.

General Planning This project is a modern urban complex integrating high-end residence with spa club, commercial street and shopping center. Its planning structure involves Hakka culture that highlights the harmony and coexistence between man and nature. It hopes to promote the new image of Fengshun city with the combination of modern urban life and natural landscape. Planning and Designing 1. Overall Layout By the analysis of the terrain, the land for the project is mountainous terrain, while the land on the southeast side which is close to municipal road is more smooth. In functional partition, the commercial land will be expanded along the municipal road and the planning road on the south side in order to obtain the biggest commercial display surface; Residential block is in the north and west of the land site, maximizing the use of surrounding mountain landscape resources. 2. Traffic Planning Taking the characteristics of the project land use into consideration, the designer makes the main entrance for people and cars of the residence set in the middle of the base on the south side. The commercial main entrance is set along the municipal road and the planning road on the south side of the base, molding the magnificent city image of the overall project. 3. Greening System The greening in residential area consists of landscape in the form of lines and dots , a central landscape axis forming

landscapes with high-rise and low-rise dwellings, and the lowrise group forming a greening core inside itself through the enclosure of the buildings. The commercial area is arranged along the business streets, forming a landscape space with multi-angle with the green space and a fountain, roof greening and hanging gardens, providing a divers shopping environment to customers. 4. Vertical Design The terrain of the site is hilly with a shape that high in the middle and low on both sides, and the biggest height difference comes to 50 meters . The dwellings are designed along the hills and the traffic lanes in the high-rise residence are built on the rather flat site in the west. Meeting the fire fighting requirements, the designer makes the lanes all constructed with a slope of less than or equal to 8% as well as a slope of less than 2% at the side of the fire control lift-up. Roads in low-rise group solve the problem of the existence of height difference by complying themselves with the contour line or building ramps, and solve the vertical design problems by spliting the buildings at different levels. 5. Architectural Style The residential buildings mainly employ the Jane European style, the high –rise employing the noble and elegant Neoclassical style and the low-rise gives first place to the bright and colourful Mediterranean and French styles and the English style secondly, making the overall style lively and elegantly. The hot spring club reflects the features of local buildings in Fengshun with modern Chinese methods. The commercial buildings present a modern urban business block with modern methods.

The Bright Lights City Plaza project is located in the opposite of Xinyang railway station, adjacent to Hongyun bus station and Xinyun bus station. The position of it is in the enclosed area where Xinhua road, People’s road, Civil Rights’ road and Etiquette road run through, and is the core district of core business circle in Xinyang. The total construction area is more than 600,000 square meters, and 150,000 square meters for business construction area. The project covers commercial, residential, office buildings, hotels, etc. The project is developed and constructed by Xinyang Wanjiadenghuo Group, which belongs to the construction project of Xinyang railway station area. The design concept of the project is "Let urban complex drive city revival" , which will not only play a leading role in the economy, but also promote the development and the inheritance of the city culture. The architectural style of the city square not only reflects the character of the urban construction, but also reflects its brandnew mental outlook when Xinyang takes off and rises. In the meantime, it keeps the characteristics of deep, candid and prudent disposition that a famous historical and cultural city

should have. The high-rise residential buildings have a very powerful modelling. The appearance of the movie culture center looks elegant and dignified. The design of the commercial buildings pursues a remarkably outstanding beauty with classical characters. It becomes the sign of the whole district with its symbolic clear image, its deep cultural implications and its light body shape. Shenzhen Shifang commercial real estate advisory body provides whole agency service for the project, hand in hand with Wanjiadenghuo Group, making Xinyang Bright Lights project a rare domestic super urban complex successfully, a "city card", and a "city living room" in Xinyang. In this project, the world-leading intelligent office automation system is introduced to make it the first 5A office building with a height of over 200 meters in Putian. Besides, world-class night landscape lighting effect also helps to make the building to be a landmark skyscraper in Putian. Banks, Securities, futures trading and insurances are also brought in, which makes it the only financial hub in Putian. This financial center has attracted many domestic enterprises and Fortune 500 firms and may compare with other wealth centers in the world. The design concept of the project focuses on the symbolic meaning of the building: it not only integrates and improves the commercial center in Putian New Town in the city planning, but also extends the ecological space tridimentionally, renews the image and enhances the vitality of the city, keeping up with the trend of the time. China World Trade Center has always been associated with superlatives. It’s where the country’s first Starbucks opened, for example, and home to Beijing’s tallest office tower. Hailed as the capital’s most prestigious mixeduse development when it launched in 1990 with premium high-rise offices, luxury hotels and, inside China World Shopping Arcade, haute couture stores such as Fendi, Prada, Hermès, Gucci and Bulgari. Nearly a quartercentury later, 5+design has designed a multiphase expansion that will enlarge and improve the arcade, now known as China World Mall, and reestablish the trade center as the city’s premier shopping destination. The expansion will provide new luxury and mid-market retail and entertainment to complement and knit together the existing buildings and uses, allowing China World Trade Center to provide the latest in lifestyle, home, dining and entertainment choices. These venues will be housed in contemporary structures featuring streamlined façades of shimmering glass with metal and stone accents, and rooftop gardens with restaurants and bars offering views out to the city and back into the trade center campus. At night, translucent and transparent glass panels will be illuminated, turning the commercial landmark into a beacon along Jianguo Road and the 3rd Ring Road.

The project will be developed among decommissioned thermal power station. Conveniently located in Gongshu District, Hangzhou, China, the project is only 6.5 km from downtown and 9.5 km from the world famous West Lake. The rapid urban development has dramatically changed the city, instead of demolishing the aging architecture, the smokestack and small scale factories are preserved. By respecting the autonomy and authenticity of the historic site, the development integrates the culturally conscious preservation with a commitment to high level solutions to embody creative tension, cultural continuity and sustainability.

Gongshu District as the starting point of the BeijingHangzhou Grand Canal, the project is designed based on the theme of canal. The figure 8-shaped waterway throughout the project connects the entire complex, with local features of bridges and boats in the historic Jiangnan area, will reproduce the prosperity of the canal city views of the past. Visitors can enjoy a cruise along the canal, and to admire the beauty and uniqueness of Wonder Mall. On top of the canal, the skyscreen creates a constantly varying appearance, reflecting the inner dynamism of the shopping complex.
