Adjustment mode

With cranes whose moment detection is the differential pressure detection type, the moment detection becomes no longer possible when the elevating stroke end is reached. This function stops the elevation before the raising stroke end is reached.

When the raising stroke end is reached, an overload status is reached, and then the lowering operation becomes prohibited, making the stowing impossible. Therefore, at the angle B° or more than the ones specified in the table below, the elevation lowering is allowed even when the moment value is 100% or more.

Stop condition: Detected boom angle ≥ Boom raising stop angle A°

Cancel: 100% stop cancel (Di6: ON)

Code at stop: W0055 “Stopped by elevating cylinder stroke end”

Stop operation:

6.1.12 Stop by midair extension jib tension rod interference (Applicable to GR-250N-3 and GR-700N-1)

Because an area exists with the midair extension jib where an interference between tension rod and jib body occurs during high angle elevation, the entry to the area is prohibited.

Stop condition: Detected boom angle ≥ Boom limit angle (80°), and Tilt cylinder length (5.9%) ≤ Full retraction stored length - Limit cylinder length

This function is enabled only when the jib tilt cylinder full retraction length is stored.

Cancel: 100% stop cancel (Di6: ON)

Code at stop: W0214 “Stopped due to tension rod interference”

Stop operation: M winch A winch Boom telescoping Boom elevation Jib telescoping Jib tilt Slewing Jib mounting Up

6.2 Output of warning

The aim of this output is to give information to operators via external warning lamps and buzzer.

6.2.1 Safety signal

This output controls the external warning lamps.

Condition of output: (1), (2) and (3) exist.

(1) The moment load ratio is less than 90%. (When boom lift is performed with the jib mounted on the boom, the ratio is below the value specified.)

(2) 100% stop cancel input is "no cancel display".

(3) Anti-two-block stop cancel input is "no-cancel display".

When the condition is fulfilled, "OFF" is output.

6.2.2 90% warning

This output controls the external warning lamps.

Condition of output: (1), (2) and (3) exist.

(1) The moment load ratio is 90% or over and less than 100%. (When boom lift is performed with the jib mounted on the boom, the ratio is in the range specified.)

(2) 100% stop cancel input is "no-cancel display".

(3) Anti-two-block stop cancel input is "no-cancel display".

When the condition is fulfilled, "OFF" is output.

6.2.3 100% warning

This output controls the external warning lamps.

Condition of output: (1), (2) or (3) exists.

(1) The moment load ratio is over 100%. (When boom lift is performed with the jib mounted on the boom, the ratio is over the value specified.)

(2) 100% stop cancel input is "cancel display".

(3) Anti-two-block stop cancel input is "cancel display".

When the condition is fulfilled, "OFF" is output.

B - 7 AML Control

7.1 Backward stability stop function

(Applicable model: GR-250N-3, GR-700N-1)

7.1.1 Outline of function

The backward stability stop function prevents the overturning of crane to the direction opposite to the boom side (backward) by the weight of counterweight (C/W) and other components.

Unlike the overload stop and anti-two-block stop, the stop cannot be canceled with this function.

7.1.2 Restriction contents

When the boom elevation angle goes over the backward stability performance, an error code "W0012" is displayed regardless of the operation. Also, the crane stop output is performed while the crane is operated toward the critical side exceeding the stability performance.

The critical side operations are as follows:

(1) Boom retraction

(2) Elevation raising

During the stop output, the code "W0025" is displayed. Even after the stop output condition is canceled, the stop output is maintained for 2 seconds.

7.2 Backward stability slewing stop function

(Applicable m odel: GR-700N-1)

7.2.1 Outline of function

This function provides a separate backward stability performance only for the over-front hook stowing status. Also, when the over-side backward stability angle is exceeded, it regulates the slewing operation. With this function, the canceling by AML emergency (override) function is inhibited.

7.2.2 Restriction contents

While in the over-front position detection, when the status becomes "Over-side backward stability performance + Margin ( )" or more, both the left and right slewing operations are regulated. Also, even for other than the over-front position, both the left and right slewing operations are regulated when the status becomes "Over-side backward stability performance + Margin" or more.

During the stop, the warning code "W0056" is displayed.

As with the normal backward stability performance judgment, hysteresis is considered for the elevation angle judgment.

( ) Margin is considered to avoid a sudden stop when the backward stability angle is reached with the simultaneous operation.

7 3 Output of interference prevention warning

7 3.1

Function

With cranes whose boom or stowed jib may contact the carrier side-mirror or engine cover, a error code is displayed to alert the operator when the boom or others approach an obstacle (stop is not performed).

7.3.2 Data specification

In order to enable this function, the data below is required.

- Interference warning range data

7 3.3 Input

(1) Slewing angle

(2) Elevation angle

(3) Slewing angle left limit

(4) Slewing angle right limit

(5) Elevation angle upper limit

Items (3) to (5) can be set concurrently.

7 3.4 Warning condition

When the condition below is satisfied, the error code is displayed.

{(3) Slewing angle left limit ≤ (1) Slewing angle ≤ (4) Slewing angle right limit} and

{(2) Elevation angle ≤ (5) Elevation angle upper limit}

When two or more of (3) to (5) are set concurrently, the error code is displayed when any of the items satisfies the above condition.

- The condition is not dependent on the boom status setting. (In any operating status, the error code is displayed when the above condition is satisfied.)

7.3.5 Error code

[W0197] “Boom interference condition”

The automatic stop output or any output to external buzzer and external indicator lamp are not performed.

7.4 Over-front special rated capacity

(Applicable m odel: GR-700N-1)

Because GR-700N-1 has the bigger front-and-rear outrigger distance than the width, a higher capacity than the outrigger maximum width capacity (same in all around) can be given with a restriction to over-front only. Only when in over-front, the user can select the rated capacity separately.

7.4.1

Name, area and mode

(1) S capacity

The over-front special rated capacity is referred to as the S capacity. The details of capacity selection are described in 7.4.2 S Capacity Mode Shift Condition. Through the outrigger setting, the S capacity is selected with the S capacity transition available range (hereinafter, referred to as S capacity range).

(2) S capacity mode

The S capacity is selected, and the S capacity can be exerted. However, outside the S capacity range, the normal outrigger maximum width capacity is used.

(3) Normal capacity mode

The S capacity cannot be exerted. Indicates that the capacity is as normal.

7.4.2 S capacity mode shift condition

(1) Condition of transition from normal capacity mode to S capacity mode (AND condition)

(a) Max width front 2 outriggers, and Mid2 or wider width rear 2 outriggers

The outrigger condition is implemented with the by-models data

However, it is not selectable with the outrigger emergency setting status. (Di signal, by-models data )

(b) S capacity mode is selected through outrigger setting

However, it is not selectable outside the above described the S capacity range.

(c) PTO-ON (Di signal, by-models data)

(2) Condition to return from the S capacity mode to normal capacity mode (OR condition)

(a) Outrigger status is in other than the condition of (1) (a). (Because the extension width may change due to slide cylinder retraction caused by temp. change of hydraulic oil.)

(b) With the outrigger setting, the normal capacity mode is selected.

(c) PTO-OFF (Di signal, by-models data)

(d) Power OFF (At the AML function start, the mode is always in the normal capacity mode.)

(3) Others

- S capacity selection status is retained.

When the S capacity is selected, if the range becomes outside the over-front S capacity range because of slewinging, the mode returns to the normal capacity mode. However, when the S capacity range is entered again, the S capacity mode is selected again.

- During the outrigger stowing operation (Di signal, by-models data), the normal status mode is entered because the on-rubber status is selected. Also, the S capacit y mode cannot be selected.

7.4.3 Display

Using the S capacity selection symbol and the S capacity enable symbol, the S capacity status is indicated in the outrigger status on normal screen.

Note:

Details of the integrated information display screen refer to the Chapter C, Maintenance mode, paragraph 3.

The display condition of the S capacity symbol in the normal screen and integrated information display screen is shown in Table 7.4.1

S capacity enable symbol (normal screen)

S capacity selection symbol (integrated display)

S capacity enable symbol (integrated display) Displayed

7.4.4 S capacity selection

(1) In the case with the S capacity, the 1st item of jack extension status judgment data is used for the judgment of normal capacity/S capacity mode.

- The presence of the S capacity is judged according to the presence of by-models data

7.4.5 Canceling the S capacity

Because the S capacity mode differs from the conventional concept of "sam e a rated capacity all around when all 4 outriggers are in full extension," a restriction is implemented to the canceling function for safety reasons.

In all status, the slewing stop can no longer be canceled by the AML emergency switch.
