AssemblingtheCylinder

1.Lubricate grease on round area (contacting area with the locking ring [17]) of cylinder drum (16) and assemble locking ring (17). See Figure 3-285.

2.Install piston (18) into piston centering plate (19). See Figure 3-285.

3.Lubricate the inside of each piston cylinder using hydraulic oil. See “Hydraulic System” on page30. See Figure 3-285.

IMPORTANT:The end surface (A) of cylinder drum (16) is a sliding face. Protect the surface when installing cylinder drum (16) by using a soft cloth. See Figure 3-280.

4.Install piston (18) and return plate (19) onto cylinder drum (16). Assemble cylinder drum (16) and piston (18) according to the marks made in step 2 of “Removing the Cylinder Assembly” on page192. See Figure 3-285 and Figure 3-286.

5.Lubricate specified hydraulic oil on the shoe sliding face of piston (18) and assemble sliding disk (20).

6.Install inner-race plate of taper roller bearing (1) into cylinder drum (16). See Figure 3-287.

7.Lightly apply adhesive (Loctite 515, 518 or equivalent) to bearing mounting area of the inner-race plate of cylinder drum (16). See Figure 3-288.
