E03 Detail of failure
Failure
CAN Disconnection (DDS) (Translator controller system)
The translator controller cannot obtain the information from driver status monitor in CAN communication circuit.
Action of conKeeps the information when the failure occurred. troller Phenomenon on machine
Related information
No.
System does not operate normally in some cases. •
Method of reproducing failure code: Turn the starting switch to the ON position.
•
Start of CAN communication is recognized by each controller when ACC signal of starting switch is received.
•
Because each controller and machine monitor is directly connected to the battery, power is continuously provided even when the starting switch is in the OFF position.
•
Since signal of active line is pulse voltage, it cannot be measured by using multimeter.
•
The translator controller detects it and the retarder controller provides the failure information to the machine monitor.
•
Do the troubleshooting for the driver status monitor power supply system (Refer to the Causes 1 to 6). Then, do the troubleshooting for CAN wiring harness.
Cause
Procedure, measurement location, criteria and remarks
REMARK Inspect the battery voltage and the specific gravity of battery electrolyte. 1
Defective battery
2
Defective circuit breaker (FUA2)
3
Defective No.25 of fuse BT2
Voltage
Battery voltage
Min. 24V
Specific gravity
Specific gravity of battery electrolyte
Min. 1.26
If the circuit breaker is tripped, circuit probably has ground fault. (See cause 6.) 1.
Starting switch: OFF
2.
Remove No.25 of fuse BT2 (the fuse at the bottom)
If fuse is burnt out, circuit may have ground fault. (See cause 6.)
