7. Connect engine lifting sling chains t o the engine hangers, and lift up the outboard motor with a hoist.
Remove the engine hanger brackets that secures the engine hangers.

To prevent damage the silencer case, first connect the chains to the two engine hangers of the cylinder head side, then connect other chain to the other engine hanger located above the alternator.
ENGINE HANGER
1Use a suitable hoist with a capacity rating of 500 kg (1,100 Ibs) or more. This outboard motor total height with the lower crate frame is over 2 m (79 in). Get an assistant t o help t o lift up the outboard motor.
