UNPACKING Wear the heavy gloves during unpacking to protect your hands from the sharp edges and burrs on the steel crate frame. 1.

Lift u p and remove the corrugated cardboard protector that contains the engine, then slide and r e m o v e t h e corrugated cardboard pro t ect or t h a t contains the engine cover.
Remove the eight bolts attaching the upper frame and the four nuts attaching the engine hanger bracket.

Lift up the upper frame slowly with care not to strike o n t h e out boar d m o t o r . (Get an assistant t o h e l p remove the crate frame.) Then remove the corrugate card board cover. 4. UPPER FRAME
Cut the tie and remove the parts carton from the crate. Compare the parts to the parts list on page 5.
5. After comparing the parts, go to step 6 on page 7.
