1.4.3 Submenu for slewing angle limit

In the Slewing angle limit submenu, the maximum permissible slewing angle of the superstructure can be set.

Opening the submenu

ä• Press the Slewing angle limit button once. The display switches to the submenu Slewing angle limit.

The words ANGLE LIMITATION appear in the top line.

The current angle of the superstructure in relation to the carrier (e.g. 32.9°) is displayed in the second line.

The most recently saved shutdown values for the slewing angle limit are shown in the third line (e.g. A: –10.2° B: 37.9°).

The options in the fourth line are described in the following sections.

ANGLE LIMITATION

Angle: 32.9° A: –10.2° B: 37.9° [OFF] [EDIT]

Definition of angles

A displayed angle of 0° means that the superstructure is turned toward the rear (and is therefore in working position 0° to the rear). Complete rotation out of this working position is divided into two semicircles for the display:

–angles in right semicircle are displayed as positive numbers (0° to +180.0°), –angles in left semicircle are displayed as negative numbers (0° to –179.9°).

There are two possible ways to enter the maximum permissible slewing angles for the Working Range Limiter:

–Move the boom to the maximum permissible slewing angles and apply these values for the Working Range Limiter; à p.1-18. –Enter the maximum permissible slewing angles as numerical values if the shutdown values are known; à p.1-20.

HWhen the monitoring function is switched on, you cannot move the boom to a larger shutdown value because the monitoring function will switch off crane movement.

HYou can exit the subsequent entry mode at any time by pressing the Exit submenu/entry mode (ö) button once.

Establishing and applying the shutdown points

This section describes how the shutdown values can be entered by moving to the shutdown points.

GRisk of accidents due to incorrectly set slewing angles! Observe the definitions of slewing angles A and B when moving to the shutdown points. –When the value for slewing angle A is applied, the shutdown point must always be located to the left next to the boom. –When the value for slewing angle B is applied, the shutdown point must always be located to the right next to the boom. If you swap the values for slewing angles A and B, the shutdown points will then be located within the permissible slewing range.

Angle: -10.2° A: –10.2° B: 37.9° [OFF] [A] [B] • Press the ü button located under [A] for slewing angle A. The display switches to Entry mode for slewing angle A. In the third line, the prompt (● ● ● ●) flashes on the tens place for slewing angleA.

• Move the pulley head without load to the point which is not to be exceeded.

The Current angle display (1) changes accordingly (e.g.-10.2°).

ANGLE LIMITATION

Angle: –A: –10.2° B: 25.9° [OFF] [A] [B] • Press the Ö button once. The current angle (1) will be applied as maximum permissible slewing angleA (2). The prompt (● ● ● ●) is turned off.

The current angle and the set shutdown value for slewing angleA are now identical.

Entering and applying the shutdown points

The section describes how the shutdown values can be entered by entering numerical values.
