28 1 12 Checking transport attachment Checking original setting
–Pull cable (A1) while continuing to push bale twister towards attachment by hand, to engage catch (A2) of bale twister (1) in attachment lug(27). • If catch (A2) engages, setting is correct. Check, however, that bale twister and housing of driving gears for wrapping arms do not collide. If everything is correct, bale twister is ready for use. If there is a collision, refer to paragraph "Additional adjustments to attachment (Bale twister with initial locking)", page81. • If catch (A2) does not engage, it must be adjusted. Refer to paragraph "Additional adjustments to attachment (Bale twister with initial locking)", page81. (Fig.12,14)

14 Additional adjustments to attachment
(Bale twister with initial locking) Adjusting housing/bale twister clearance Housing/bale twister clearance is adjusted by attachment (28) and attachment lug (28A). –Adjust position of attachment (28) on housing of driving gears for wrapping arms: –Slacken screws (29). –Move attachment (28) according to oblong holes. –Tighten screws (29). Tightening torque: 48.5 Nm
(Fig.14)

–Adjust position of attachment lug (28A): –Slacken screws (32). –Move attachment (28A) according to oblong holes. –Tighten screws (32). Tightening torque: 24.5 Nm
Caution!
Bale twister (1) and housing of driving gears for wrapping arms must never make contact: there must be a minimum distance of 15mm between bale twister and housing of driving gears for wrapping arms.
(Fig.15) Adjusting attachment lug/locking pin alignment –If attachment lug (28A) and catch of bale twister are not aligned, that means catch is not engaging in attachment lug (28A). In that case, adjust position of lug using plates (31). • Remove attachment lug (28A). • Insert or remove plates (31) to allow catch to engage in attachment lug: Use original screws (32) or screws (33) to hold plates (31) and attachment lug (28A) in position. 19 Additional adjustments to attachment
(Bale twister with optimised locking) Adjusting housing/bale twister clearance Housing/bale twister clearance is adjusted by attachment (37) and attachment lug (37A). –Adjust position of attachment (37) on housing of driving gears for wrapping arms: –Slacken screws (29). –Move attachment (37) according to oblong holes. –Tighten screws (29). Tightening torque: 48.5 Nm
Caution!
Bale twister (1) and housing of driving gears for wrapping arms must never make contact: there must be a minimum distance of 15mm between bale twister and housing of driving gears for wrapping arms.
(Fig.18) Adjusting attachment lug/locking pin alignment –If attachment lug (37A) and catch of bale twister are not aligned, that means catch is not engaging in attachment lug (37A). In that case, adjust position of lug using plates (40). • Remove attachment lug (37A). • Insert or remove plates (40) to allow catch to engage in attachment lug: Use screws (38), contact washers (24) and nuts (39) to keep plates (40) and attachment lug (37A) in place. (Fig.18-20)
