Prior to operation Fitting the drive shaft on the machine side DANGER! Never remove the guards (5) on the drive shaft! – Check that all locks are securely engaged before starting work with the drive shaft.

• Clean the P.T.O. • Fit the drive shaft with free-wheel facility and slipping clutch onto the double gearbox, in doing this: Drive shaft with pull interlock (B):

– Pull back the sleeve and push the drive shaft onto the P.T.O. of the machine until the lock clicks into the annular groove.

Drive shaft with push pin interlock (A): – Push the pin down and push the drive shaft onto the P.T.O. of the machine until the interlock clicks into the annular groove. – Check that the interlock is properly located. 74145

• Prevent the drive shaft guard from rotating as well by hooking the retaining chain (6) in position! (Fig. 11, 12)
