12 Fitting the drive shaft on the machine side
DANGER!
Never remove the guards(5) on the drive shaft! – Check that all locks are securely engaged before starting work with the drive shaft. – The fixing chains(6) for the drive shaft guard are to be hooked up onto the machine and the tractor
• Clean the P.T.O. • Fit the drive shaft with free-wheel facility and slipping clutch onto the double gearbox, in doing this:
Drive shaft with pull interlock(B): –Pull back the sleeve and push the drive shaft onto the P.T.O. of the machine until the lock clicks into the annular groove.
Drive shaft with push pin interlock(A): –Push the pin down and push the drive shaft onto the P.T.O. of the machine until the interlock clicks into the annular groove. –Check that the interlock is properly located. • Prevent the drive shaft guard from rotating as well by hooking the retaining chain(6) in position! (Fig.11,12)
