The feed drums are fastened to one flange each. The bolts(1) for securing the feed drums must be tightened as specified. –Fit bolts(1) and nut(2) with liquid screw fastener.

For example Loctite243 (50ml) Order no. 0006662851 –Tighten bolts(1) and nut(2) with torque wrench.

Tightening torque:

Bolts (1) =80Nm Initial module DIRECT DISC 520 Comfort: Nuts (2)=450Nm. Safety module DIRECT DISC 610: Nuts (2)=380Nm. (Fig.99)

Feed drum cap

ATTENTION!

Imbalance through missing or damaged caps. Machine damage. –Replace missing or damaged caps(3) immediately. –The outer feed drums(4) must always have the cap(3) fitted.

Ensure that the drainage opening(5) at the bottom of the conveyor cones is always open. This is the only place for draining water that has collected here (e.g. high-pressure steam cleaning). (Fig.100)
