Zone of use The EGR system is active when all the following conditions are met : – Engine hot. – Engine speed > 1 400 rev/min. – Load > 40%.

In zone (B), the recycling rate is about 10%. The recycling rate is monitored using 3 pieces of information : (compressed fresh air temperature, recycled exhaust gas temperature, and mixed air temperature). Variation in the
quantity of gas recycled is controlled by turbocharger control. In case of effectiveness problem with the recycling system, an error code is announced.
