Technical description

A venturi system on the exhaust line allows re-extracting dust contained in the air filter. Exhaust gas can flow in both directions: – To the turbocharger through the orientable fins. – To the exhaust gas recycling system EGR if the "M38" actuator is in open position. In this case, burnt gases are cooled by crossing (C), then mixed with fresh gases in the intake manifold. The EGR system reduces emissions of Nox (nitrogen oxide). The quantity of recycled gas is evaluated from the intake air T°, recycled gas T° and mixed air T° information. The "A15" engine module manages the turbo's geometry in order to control this quantity of recycled gas.
