An SRB newstart can only be done if the SRB key’s LED is flashing and at least one of the Group Select keys.

SRB FACE AUTOMATION Confirm shearer dir.
When using Infrared or Serial Tracking, the shearer direction must be confirmed by pressing the Group Select key that matches the shearer direction. The shearer must be moving, not stopped, for this to be successful. In manual tracking mode, the direction supplied by the operator is assumed to be the correct direction. Press

WARNING! SRB STARTED!
When the direction is confirmed, all shields in the SRB Area (defined by parameters "Beginning Shield" and "Ending Shield") will "notice-beep" and will show the SRB Start Warning display message.

When SRB is active, the 9-key’s led will be lit solid.
Restart An SRB Restart reactivates SRB so that it picks up where it previously left off. This is different than an SRB Newstart! The Primepoint is retained and the system will correctly advance and push shields so that no additional operator intervention is required.
