MAINTENANCE
HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL (Visual inspection and topping up)
CAUTION During work components and lines composing the hydraulic system can reach high temperatures. Shut off the machine and let it cool down before starting any inspection or maintenance: danger of burns.
If check is performed at the end of the working period, follow the indications herebelow:

• Park the machine on a level surface. • Fully retract the dipper cylinder and fully extend bucket cylinder. • Rest the bucket to the ground. • Switch off the auto-idle, fully turn the engine speed manual control anticlockwise, stop the engine, remove the starter key and move the safety lever into the locked position (LOCK).

• Open the hydraulic pump compartment cover and check thr oil level on optical indicator (1), located on the hydraulic oil tank. Oil level should be included between reference marks MIN and MAX shown. • If hydraulic oil level is low, (1) top up as detailed in “MAINTENANCE AFTER 2500 HOURS OF OPERATION”, in the paragraph “HYDRAULIC SYSTEM OIL”.

• Close the cover.

IMPORTANT: Do not top up using oil with different specifications from the oil already in the hydraulic oil reservoir (see FLUID AND LUBRICANT FILLING CHART on page 209).
(*) IMPORTANT: if the machine has been filled with biodegradable hydraulic oil, be informed that this oil cannot be mixed with mineral hydraulic oil. Carefully follow the use indications detailed in the section VARIANTS of this manual. In case of doubt, refer to the dealer.
