CONNECTING A BOOSTER BATTERY

WARNING: Connecting auxiliary cables wrongly or short-circuiting battery terminals can cause an accident. Connect auxiliary starting cables as per the following instructions.

WARNING: Whenever carrying out a welding operation on the machine, as authorized by the manufacturer and in accordance with his instructions, or making repairs to the electrical system, disconnect the alternator B+ and D+ wires. Be sure to identify the wires correctly when reconnecting.

Tools required

-Auxiliary starting cables Make sure that the booster battery has the same voltage as that of the machine (12 volts). 1. Connect the positive (+) auxiliary cable to the positive (+) terminal to the machine system. 2. Connect the negative (-) auxiliary cable to the negative (-) terminal of the machine system. 3. Start the engine. 4. Disconnect the negative (-) auxiliary cable, then the positive (+) auxiliary cable from the booster battery.

ALTERNATOR Service specification

Check.........................................................................................Every 1,000 hours

IMPORTANT: Do not use a steam cleaning apparatus or cleaning solvent to clean the alternator. Have the alternator checked by your CASE Dealer. NOTE: Make sure the tag covers are correctly in place.

STARTER MOTOR Service specifications

Check.........................................................................................Every 1,000 hours Have the starter motor checked by your CASE Dealer. NOTE: Make sure the tag covers are correctly in place.
