Machine storage
The use of CASE coolant is recommended. Please find in the table below the percentages of the mixture related to ambient temperatures:
OUTDOOR ANTIFREEZE WATER TEMPERATURE
Down to - 8 °C (18° F) 20 % 80 % - 15 °C (5° F) 30 % 70 % - 25 °C (-13° F) 40 % 60 % - 35 °C (-31° F) 50 % 50 %
Once filling is completed, let engine run for a short period, to ensure a correct mixing.
WARNING
Do not run engine in closed areas without proper ventilation to remove deadly exhaust fumes.
When outdoor temperature lowers, use lubrificants with adequate viscosity, as recommended in the FLUID CAPACITIES. MACHINE STORAGE
If the machine is to be inactive for a long period follow these rules: - clean the machine completely and lubricate all parts provided with grease fittings; - drain engine cooling water; if radiator is filled with antifreeze mixture, drainage is not necessary; - fill fuel tank to prevent rusting; - remove injectors and inject some engine oil through the seats in the cylinder head, after having brought each piston to B.D.C; - crank the engine a few times with the starter, in order to spread a fine coat of oil on the cylinder walls.
Install injectors.
If possible, take out the batteries and store them in a place where there is no danger of freezing. Recharge once a month.
WARNING
Choose a slow recharge for batteries. Take care to connect the cables to the proper terminal (+ with +) and (- with -) at both ends. Avoid short circuiting cables clamps.
Store the machine in a protected area or otherwise cover it with a tarpaulin. To ensure adequate protection of transmission units, the machine should be moved for a short distance at least once a month, in order to renew the oil film on components.
Study SAFETY RULES in the front of this manual thoroughly for the protection of machine and safety of personnel
