Fort Worth Lodge welcomes two new juniors FORT WORTH – Fort Worth Lodge welcomes two new junior members. They are brothers Gus Fredenburg and Abbott Fredenburg. The next meeting will be in September. Date and place will be announced later. Camp t-shirts have been mailed to all the campers that requested them. Hope to see lots of pictures in the upcoming months for the lodge article. Parents, please send pictures to sandraj1966@yahoo.com. If you have brothers, sisters, cousins, or best friends attending Camp, be sure to take photos. Reaching his 50-year membership milestone is Robert Lampman. Robert joined the lodge on July 2, 1972.

Congratulations to junior member Caden Jones. Caden received the Dylan Ellis Sportsmanship Award for the winter bowling league. This award is given by the coaches and this is just part of what they had to say about Caden. They said they see him cheering on his fellow bowlers and encouraging them if they are having a bad day. He is kind and funny with his league mates, comes early to practice and seeks advice and takes the advice seriously and is always willing to help when asked. Caden is a fourth-generation member. He is the son of Scott and Shannon Jones, brother to Makayla Hutzel and is the

grandson of Ronnie and Darlene Jones and Sam and Sandra Jones. Get-well prayers are asked for Cecil McLaughlin, John Hilcher and Carol Hilcher. Happy anniversary wishes to Red and Nancy Kelly who will celebrate their 39th anniversary on July 9; to Ronnie and Darlene Jones, 51 years; and Larry and Karen Barclay, 31 years. Happy Birthday wishes are extended to Laura Creed, Cathy Freeman, John Hilcher, Makayla Hutzel, Stephanie McBroom, Red Kelly, Madison Lewallen, Deneen Castor, Dana Miller, Fred Murphy, Cathy Simmank, Blake Walters and Kristene Willis. – Reporter

Hochheim-Prairie to meet on Aug. 14 HOCHHEIM-PRAIRIE – Hochheim-Prairie Lodge will not meet in July. The next meeting is Aug. 14 at Turner Hall. At the June meeting, special guests were Agents Wayne and Laura Tiffin, members of Cuero Lodge. Laura was recently elected to the Board of Directors. In observance of Flag Day, Laura read Celebrating birthdays at Bellville Lodge were Patsy Marek in March and Marie Herridge in April.

Bellville holds meeting BELLVILLE – Bellville Lodge members took boxes of goodies to the Bellville Police Department as a “thank you” for their service on May 2 in observance of Join Hands Day. The lodge first held its noon meeting at El Jimador Restaurant in Bellville before visiting the police station. Members discussed the status of the lodge. Recent birthday celebrants were Marie Herridge in March and Patsy Marek in April. In February, members met at the El Jimador Restaurant. Regional Sales Manager Doug

Carpenter was in attendance. Robert Herridge presented Herbert Schumann a copy of the CD of the music he wrote for Herbert’s mother Adelheid Kloss. Herridge received an award for the music at the Houston Accordion Orchestra competition. The future of the Lodge was discussed and members were encouraged to attend the Brenham and Cat Spring Lodge meetings. Celebrating a birthday in February was Allen Hintz. – Reporter

Kirsten Smith, left, is the 2022 Hochheim-Prairie Lodge scholarship recipient. She is the daughter of Julie Smith and Derrick Smith. She will attend Texas Lutheran University in the fall. President Janet Zabransky presented the scholarship to Kirsten during the Yoakum High School awards assembly held in May.
