WHAT TO WEAR TO THE AIRPORT IF YOU CANT AFFORD CHANEL SS16? OCTOBER 25, 2015 / CHARLOTTE TUGWELL / 0 COMMENTS Short Description: For all those amazed by the Chanel SS16 airport show, here are some tips on travel wear if you can’t afford Chanel, yet. Let’s be optimistic about it.

As you can see, Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into an airport terminal at his SS16 Chanel Show this year. The Kaiser created an airport departure lounge, complete with flight attendants, baggage drop off and passengers, delightfully surprising all attendees of the event. The front row was blessed with the beautiful faces of Vanessa Paradis and her daughter Lily Rose. Another A-list couple present at the show was Cara Delevingne and girlfriend St Vincent. The models strutted down the runway airport with blue uni-brows, but that wasn’t the only exquisite aspect of the glamorous show. The impeccable details of the clothing were the icing on the cake. Safety belt buckles, airplane pins were tastier than the icing itself, and a lot more expensive. The iconic tweed was also featured on the runway, alongside marvellous designs a woman could only dream of wearing to the airport. It seems as though the creative designer of Chanel will never cease to amaze the public by providing spectacular shows. Last year Lagerfeld paced down the runway protesting, encouraging feminism, yet another great spectacle.

But what do you wear to the airport if you can’t afford Chanel? Albeit not a piece of clothing, a large handbag can facilitate your glamorous airport experience. Technological goods, sweaters for the freezer (airplane), socks, books, tickets and keys, make up for a full bag. The Longchamp Pliage provides for an excellent converted by Web2PDFConvert.com

solution. Simple yet ingenious. Couple this with a pair of slim fit jeans with a stretchy waistband to keep your stomach comfortable as the pressures of the plane change your body and shape. Combine it with a turtleneck of the same colour as your pants, making you transform into the fashionista you are at heart! It’s effortless, it’s chic. A pair of Adidas Stan Smith is sure to complete that on-point look - you’re a fashionable businesswoman on the go. The sneakers are comfortable, and easy to slip off if you’re that sort of traveller. Call us boring, but hydration is also key when travelling and flights are no exception. Make sure you drink enough H20 to keep you from drying out and it goes without saying that you will look and feel your best at the end of a flight. It might just be the breaking point to make you resemble that Chanel flight attendant, who’s actually a model. Article Written by Henrietta Hedberg, for Tunes, Trends & Threads 16
