Jeremy was born to Mark and Linda Albright on January 20, 1975 in Indianapolis and spent a portion of time at Riley Children’s Hospital. Jeremy lived his youth on a small quiet street not far off DePauw Campus in Greencastle, Ind., where a kid could ride his bike all around town. He along with his younger brother Nick would frequent Gould’s Market for an ice-cold pop, sled in the Dalles on campus in the winter and play in the “field” and the “holler” not far from his home. Jeremy graduated from Greencastle High School in 1993 where he had played football, wrestled and threw shot put on the track team. He loved to play guitar and was a huge fan of bands like Pink Floyd, Neil Young and The Allman Brothers. Jeremy’s claim to fame was drinking a milkshake made on the same machine as David Crosby’s at a Steak and Shake post-concert at Deer Creek one night. He was a huge fantasy fiction fan and enjoyed playing role playing games as well as being an avid rock collector. He tried his hand at working for awhile post high school at the now closed Greencastle Manufacturing before up and moving to Terre Haute with the woman that would eventually become his wife, Laura. In Terre Haute there came not one, but two sons, Jonas and Levi, but the hardships of young marriage took its toll and the couple divorced several years later. From there, Jeremy’s wandering spirit took over, splitting time between his beloved Grandma Dot’s house on Raceway road and wherever he laid his head that night he traveled across the country looking for something, that great adventure. From Oregon to Maine Jeremy made his way back and forth following the band Phish with the occasional break in Indianapolis at his Grandma Dot’s. Settling back in Greencastle he met Christina Smith and well along came his third son, Lars. Jeremy and Christina made their home for many years in both Brazil, Greencastle and eventually Danville. Again, in his 40’s the road called, and Jeremy checked in from Colorado then Utah where he made his home for a time in Vernal Utah before showing back up in Danville sometime later after a cross-country bus ride. The last few years of Jeremy’s life were spent in Unionville Ind. out off a state highway with a family that treated him like one of their own. Maybe Jeremy finally found what he spent years searching for. He married Telitha (Bowlen) Albright on February 14 2020 and she survives him. Jeremy leaves behind his parents, Mark Albright of Greencastle Ind., Linda Albright of Danville; a brother, Nick and wife Liz Albright of Danville; his three beloved sons, Jonas of Avon, Levi of Indianapolis and Lars of Danville; Lars’ mother, Christina Smith, of Danville; one Grandmother, June Albright of Greencastle; several Aunts and Uncles including Jackie and Ken Eitel of Greencastle and Lila Hornsby of Cloverdale and Elwood Simmons of Avon; along with a list of cousins, great-uncles, aunts and friends from coast to coast. Jeremy was preceded in death by his beloved Grandmother Dorothy “Dot” Hornsby, Grandfather Eldon Roy Hornsby, Grandfather Bobby Gene Albright and his first wife Laura Dulin. Graveside services took place May 10, 2021 at Little Union Baptist Church with burial following at Union Cemetery. “Long may you run. Long may you run.
