Roundup River Ranch offers old-fashioned, pure fun camp experiences for children with serious illnesses and their families. At our beautiful Colorado ranch and through year-round activities, we offer our campers and families the chance to enjoy the most extraordinarily ordinary joys of childhood. Campers are able take a true vacation from being “a patient” and get back to the fun of being a child. At Roundup River Ranch, the healing power of laughter, friendship, and shared experiences offers kids the chance to make new friends, find the courage to try activities they never thought possible, and build confidence.

Camper Lilly inspired a shining moment for Roundup River Ranch in 2022. After being diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, Lilly and her family were introduced to Roundup River Ranch…giving Lilly the opportunity to be a camper onsite five times. When she found out she was granted a wish through Make-A-Wish in 2021, Lilly chose to give her wish to Roundup River Ranch — to create a sound garden at camp. Her hope was to build a beautiful space where campers could use various instruments and imaginative ways to create music in the outdoors. Today, the sound garden offers a safe space for all campers to learn through play, bringing the joy of music and self-expression to life as they experience the healing power of connection through rhythm and tone. The garden allows campers to develop fine and gross motor skills and engage in cognitive and sensory development and work together as a team. The opportunities are expansive!
