A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDERS

The energy of this quote expresses Harbourton Foundation’s determination to take action and find workable solutions in our focus areas: Youth Well-being; Climate Change Solutions and Emergency Relief and Recovery. With a renewed strategic plan in place, the Foundation is in the position to act. It is exciting to move into 2023 with a dynamic vision guiding our continuous search for solutions to the pressing issues faced today.

During 2022 we continued supporting many long-term grantees who work in our focused impact areas. We value deep connection with our grantees and have tremendous respect and trust in these relationships. While much of our grantmaking remained consistent throughout 2022, we turned inward as an organization and worked on building a solid internal infrastructure to help us successfully navigate our future work. One of the exciting highlights of this work is our co-launch of Zephyr Impact, a collaborative giving platform that strives to bring together like-minded donors around shared interest areas, to increase impact. In response to the youth mental health crisis facing our nation today, Zephyr Impact’s first fund is focused on Youth Wellbeing. The launch of Zephyr highlights the importance of collaboration to accelerate impact, as we do our part to fund solutions to the world’s biggest issues.

Another area of continued focus is our work with disaster relief. Due to the repercussions of climate change, our world continues to face an increased number of severe weather events and disasters. During 2022 Harbourton remained committed to helping those suffering from climate related catastrophes, as well as taking restorative action to help mitigate climate change’s pervasive effect on our planet.

The Foundation continues to strive to fulfill its vision of a better life for all. To accomplish our goals in 2023 we will continue to look for innovative leaders who aspire to create change and who energetically act on their solutions. We are appreciative of our inspiring grantees and their stellar work that is done with optimism, insight and determination. With these partners we will act with thoughtfulness and urgency to do our part in improving the lives of others.
