Aldershot FC folded in March 1992, becoming the first Football League club to do so during the season since 1962. Aldershot Town was formed shortly after on April 22, 1992, managed by ex-player Steve Wignall. The new club started in the Isthmian League Division 3, and by the end of their first season, they had won the title with an 18-point lead. Key players Mark Butler and Steve Stairs scored 62 goals between them. In the following years, Aldershot Town secured further promotions and success, winning the Isthmian League Division 1 title and both the Hampshire Senior Cup and Isthmian League Cup in 1999. Under manager George Borg, the club rose to the Football Conference, and by 2002, Terry Brown guided them to promotion to the Conference Premier.
The club’s crowning achievement came in 2007-08, when Aldershot Town won the Conference Premier title under Gary Waddock, earning promotion to the Football League. They finished their first League 2 season in 13th place. However, in 2013, the club faced financial troubles, went into administration, and was relegated from League 2. After restructuring, Aldershot Town regained stability and began to rebuild. The 2014-15 season brought a memorable FA Cup win over Portsmouth, but the club still struggled in the Conference Premier. Under Waddock’s return in 2016, Aldershot had a solid season, finishing 5th in the National League and reaching the play-offs, though they fell short in the semi-finals. The club continues to aim for promotion to the Football League.

Reaching the County Cup Final is a truly special achievement and one that every player and parent should be incredibly proud of. The journey to this point has been tough, but built on hard work, teamwork, and a nevergive-up attitude that defines this group of young players.
From my first training session, to the final whistle of the last match of the season, every challenge has been a chance for the boys to learn, and they've all shown a great willingness to improve.
They've supported one another, pushed through challenges, and grown not only as footballers but as people as well. I’d like to thank the parents, and supporters who’ve supported the boys this season.
R
Your sacrifices, energy and encouragement mean the world to the players and to myself. Most importantly, I want to thank the boys for their undeniable passion and hard-work throughout the season.
No matter the result today, walking out onto the pitch in a Cup Final is a moment the boys should be incredibly proud of. I’m proud of every single one of them. Let’s enjoy it and give it everything we’ve got.
Harry F Team Captain
I am honoured to be leading this team into the final. I’m very proud of every one of us for making it this far. It is a huge achievement and something we feel we deserve after working hard to improve all season.
In September we had some new faces and it took a while to come together as a team. It was a challenge, but we were up for it. We couldn’t have got this far without our coach, Cameron (also known as mini-Gav) He is an amazing leader and our players have built a strong bond with him – everyone now loves a bit of pressing!
R
In the semi-final we were a goal down and couldn’t seem to hit the target but we persevered and kept fighting, eventually winning a penalty to equalise. Extra time saw a goal disallowed so the inevitable penalty shootout followed… but we kept our heads and cruised through to the final.
With our positive attitude and team spirit I know we’ll smash it today. It is a local derby but to us, it’s just another game. We will put in our usual 200% effort, enjoy the moment and bring that trophy home to...

Following several enjoyable and successful seasons together, including league and cup successes in both Hampshire and Surrey, 2024/25 is the last year of youth football for this Farnham Town Hawks team. It has been a privilege to be involved with this group and to see the boys evolve as people and players, and it’s fitting that we close out with this as our last game I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved, particularly the parents and supporters, who have supported the team and the players through the early kick-offs, long away trips, and the wet and windy mornings. Thank you.

This final is the culmination of a season full of promise. We set a clear objective as a squad that we wanted to win a trophy this season, whether that be as league champions or one of the cup competitions that we entered. We come here today knowing that our season is not over and that we have not yet achieved everything that we set to achieve. This is a special occasion to play in this final, especially as an U17s team. It shows that they are punching above their weight in an U18s league, and also it shows the talent and belief within the team.
R
I feel especially proud because I have been involved with Warsash and this team since they were in development at U5s. Yes, some players have come and gone but watching them develop as footballers and young men, and all that they have achieved has been a real privilege for me. Whatever happens today I hope that they enjoy the occasion and play to their full potential because it is nothing short of what they deserve.
Despite it being a stop start season in the league, as teams sadly withdrew as the season progressed, we were still crowned the winners, only losing the one game.
Competing in three cups, making the final in two and losing in the semi-final of the other, means it has been a great season so far. Being a village team, some of the players have been with the squad since the age of 5, but the squad has gone from strength to strength with the addition of new players over the years and to find ourselves in the County Cup final is a massive achievement, one that I know the whole squad is proud of and it shows how far this team has come.
None of this would have been achieved without the coaching and support of Kwabena and Scott. We appreciate everything that they have done and continue to do for us.
Also, I would like to thank you for the support from our parents and everyone who gives up their time for free at Warsash Football Club. I am proud to be the captain of such a great team.
Churt Juniors Football Club, located between Farnham and Haslemere, Surrey, was established in 2007 with the aim of creating a local children’s football club that was focused on fun. A village football club in the Surrey Hills, the club has grown steadily and now has over 400 players training and playing football every week.
The club was founded on the principles of access and inclusivity for all and seeks to provide a platform for football development with opportunities for players of all ages and experience.
R
Riley joined us at the beginning of the 24/25 season following a couple of seasons of the team not having a dedicated keeper. He has been a fantastic addition to the team and contributed to some rare clean sheets
R
Billy has been one of our key central defenders over a number of years and also likes to contribute a few goals per season from corners – including in last year’s County Cup final.
R
Another of our central defenders, Nathaniel’s pace is a particular advantage He doesn’t often get into scoring positions but grabbed a goal from a midfield cameo in the last league match of the season.
R
After a difficult end to last season impacted by injury, Adam has been back stronger, playing in every match this year and providing a consistently reliable presence at left back.
R
Henry is a highly versatile player who can play at both full back and as a winger He also has an impressive record taking penalty kicks.
R
Ryan has been a core member of the squad for the past two years but has unfortunately missed most of this season following a shoulder operation. When fit he generally plays at right back but can also contribute in midfield
R
Liam joined the team on a full time basis after a handful of appearances last season, including in the County Cup final. His height and speed are particular assets
R
Luke’s regular position is at right back, where he offers important overlapping support on the wing as well as a reliable defensive presence at the back
Midfielder
R
Part of our core central midfield trio, Finn’s bring high levels of energy to the pitch, both in defence and attack, which has been key to the team’s success this season
Midfielder
R
A new addition to the squad for the 24/25 season, Josh has become a key part of the team, operating in central midfield and contributing a number of goals from darting forward runs.
Midfielder
R
In another impressive season, and one only partially hampered by injury, Zeph has the second highest total goal contributions of the team and is our joint top scorer.
Midfielder
Rory has played the majority of games this season in his preferred no. 10 position and has both been the team’s joint top scorer and contributed the most assists of any player.
Forward
R
Ben has only been available for a relatively small number of matches this season but has scored in every game he has played for the team, contributing 10 goals and assists in total
Midfielder
R
One of our core central midfielders, Patrick operates as a classic deep lying playmaker His positional play and progressive passing are particular strengths
Midfielder
R
Flynn is a very skilful player who can operate in any midfield position and has played all of them during the course of the season, with the majority of his 13 goal assists coming from wide on the left.
Midfielder
R
Joe joined the team part way through the season to bolster a depleted forward line and has been a key part of our league success, mainly playing on the wing but also taking on the centre forward role when needed.
Forward
R
Edward has been released from part-time goalkeeper duties this season and has enjoyed leading the line in most matches, totalling 23 goal contributions and offering our strongest aerial threat
Beth Jolley Team Manager
R
In their last season together as a team, Churt Tornadoes have continued to find success by winning Division One of the NEHYL.
RMany of the players have been with the team since primary school and more recent joiners have fitted in with the squad seamlessly.
All of them combine a competitive spirit with sportsmanship and enjoyment of the game.
R Rory S Team Captain
It has been a real privilege to captain the Tornadoes this season and I've loved every minute of it. The camaraderie across the whole team has been superb. The past few seasons for our team have been excellent and we've continued that success by retaining our league title and getting through to this County Cup Final. The standard of this competition has been superb. In fact, most rounds we've played have been tough games, where we've had to fight exceptionally hard to win.
RWe're all massively looking forward to today's match and we're sure it'll be a fantastic game, like so many others on our road to the final. I'm sure it'll be emotional at the end of the match - win, lose or draw - given this is our final match for Churt Tornadoes, with several of us having started playing together as U-5s or U-6s.
