AFC Bournemouth Women’s team has existed for a number of years, with the entire pathway as it is now currently since 2015. Since falling under management of AFC Bournemouth, the Women’s team have seen rapid growth and many successes, such as the progression from the County leagues into Tier 4 of the Women’s pyramid. The Women’s First Team have made history on a number of occasions including reaching the Women’s FA Cup Third Round Proper in back-to-back seasons and scoring more than 100
competitive goals within one season in 2023/2024.
Most recently, the Women’s First Team have secured promotion to the tier three of the Women’s football pyramid, having secured promotion in March 2025 to the FA Women’s National League South Premier Division. Another achievement for the Cherries Women is the back-to-back Hampshire Senior Cup wins, which includes knocking out 17-times winners Portsmouth Women in the journey to winning the
competition for the first time in the 2022/23 season.
The pathway at AFC Bournemouth is more than the competitive teams, with opportunity for girls to get involved on a recreational level before finding their place within their pathway.
The girls and women’s pathway offers players the opportunity to represent AFC Bournemouth within the Under 10, 12, 14 and 16 age groups, as well as the two senior Women’s teams. This is complimented by the Girls Emerging Talent Centre which was established in September 2022.

RWe are very much looking forward to this evening’s Women’s Senior Cup Final. This is third season reaching this round of the competition; something that myself, the players and all the coaching staff are proud of
AFC Bournemouth Women have enjoyed another successful season in gaining promotion to the Women’s National League Southern Premier Division for the first time. To win not only this promotion, but to do so at Vitality Stadium in front of a crowd of over 7000 is something that I am sure none of the players will ever forget.
Today’s opposition Southampton are a team we always look forward to playing against. They are a good young side, who play some brilliant football and this is something we look forward to testing ourselves against today.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the supporters who have made the trip here this evening to support the Women’s Team in our second cup-final of the season. Without the continued support of these fans we would not have enjoyed the successes we have this season
I hope you enjoy this evening’s game. Thanks.

I have been at the club eight years now and what an incredible journey it’s been.
I joined AFCB when I was 13 years old and have worked my way up through the academy system. I was lucky enough to go straight into the first team when I turned 16 and since then I have been given Captaincy of the team this season.
This season we have already been crowned champions of the National League South West at a packed Vitality Stadium after only playing 18 league games, going unbeaten in them all.
The Hampshire Cup is a trophy we are proud to have retained for the past two years after Portsmouth were successful in having it for so long!
Southampton under 21s are a strong, fit and young side who we know will be up for winning the trophy. We are very much looking forward to the game.
Thank you for coming and I hope you enjoy the match today!

In the 2018-19 season the club won a range of silverware, including the league cup and league title with a perfect record of 18 wins, which sealed promotion to the FAWNL Division One.
otion to the FAWNL Division One. In the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons the club sat top of the FAWNL Division One South West before the COVID pandemic curtailed both. The club then applied for and were granted upward club movement in the summer of 2021 to the FAWNL Southern Premier Division.
