Assemblies The whole Junior School comes together for assembly on Monday and Friday. On Wednesdays, students have assembly in their House or Phase. Friday assemblies are always ‘Celebration Assemblies,’ during which Cornflower Certificates are awarded to children who have evidenced our school values during the preceding week. Once a year, each class will perform an assembly, to which parents will be invited.

Student Voice Class elections take place at the start of each year for pupils in Years 1 - 6 to join the Student Voice and represent the views and opinions of their class. The team meet regularly to discuss how to improve areas of school life and offer possible suggestions and solutions to any issues that have been identified.

Academic Support Year group teaching teams consist of class teachers, LSAs and subject specialists and over the course of the year your child may receive support from these adults in a group or individual basis, as deemed appropriate. This might be to recap and secure knowledge, address misconceptions or provide additional challenge for your child. Additionally, members of our IN (Individual Needs) department may work alongside individuals or groups of students in class or run a series of sessions to focus on specific areas of learning. You or your child can speak to Mrs Sarah Summers (ssummers@habsgirls.org.uk) for more information.
