Attendance

The school must be informed of absence for any reason, either planned or unplanned. If your child is absent for any reason, work will not be provided. We request that absences are kept to a minimum.

Unplanned absence

Contact the school by 8.30am on the first day of absence and again if your child is absent for more than three days or over a weekend, either through Firefly or the telephone absence line (0208 266 2400).

Planned absence

For planned absences, such as hospital appointments or music exams, please request permission from the school via Firefly with a minimum of two days’ notice. Planned absence requests should be marked for the attention of the Assistant Head Pastoral. To minimise disruption to your child’s education, we request that non-emergency dental and medical appointments are made outside of school hours, where possible.

Exceptional absence requests

Permission for exceptional absence should be sought from the Head of the Junior School, via Firefly, at least two weeks in advance. The Head of the Junior School will then confirm whether the circumstances meet the definition of ‘exceptional circumstances’ for which leave of absence may be authorised by the School.

Religious observance

If you wish to request absence for religious observance reasons, please complete the Microsoft form on Firefly in the resources section. The absence will automatically be authorised.
