First Days

Year 3

Year 3 is where pupils make a step from one key stage to another. We focus on transition and try to make the move as smooth as possible.

Within the first two weeks of term, pupils have a team building day to help them get to know each other better. We encourage pupils to build skills of independence and we guide them to become more resilient as they embark on their Key Stage 2 learning journey.

Pupils will also be assigned a buddy to support them during their transition period. On Thursday 7 September, pupils should be dropped off between 8am and 8.30am using the drop-off lanes at the front of the school. For the first few days of term, you may want to park and walk your child to the playground, where they will be met by their teacher at 8.30am.
