MEET THE STAFF EXECUTIVE BOARD Jessica Bride (President & Editor-in-Chief) Jessica is a senior from Charleston, South Carolina, double-majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. Since 2020, she has been a research assistant in the RW Turner Lab at the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences. She was selected as a 2021-2022 Luther Rice Research Fellow, and won for Graduate Health Sciences and Public Health at GW’s 2021 Research Showcase. Jessica is also editor-in-chief for Capitol Letters, GW’s literary magazine.
Jaylee Davis (Layout Manager & Fall Director of GW Scope) Jaylee Davis is a sophomore from Atlanta, Georgia, majoring in English. She is a member of the University Honors Program and currently works as a research assistant for Dr. Randi Kristensten in the University Writing Department.
Aldonza Chavez (Lead Editor for Humanities & Events Manager) Aldonza is a senior from Truro, Iowa, double-majoring in English and Biology with a concentration in Ecology, Evolution, and the Environment. She currently works at the Wilbur V. Harlan Greenhouse aiding in botanical and ecological research preparation and initiatives. Previously, she was an assistant in various ecology labs on the GW Foggy Bottom campus. She is also a social media and events manager for the GW Greenhouse Club.
Veronika Kulik (Lead Editor for Natural Sciences) Veronika is a senior from Portland, Oregon, majoring in Biological Anthropology. She is a member of Dr. Chet Sherwood’s Evolutionary Neuroscience lab, where she studies aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Prior, she worked in Dr. Colin Young’s lab at the GW School of Medicine & Health Sciences, investigating the role of the brain in metabolic diseases. Veronika is a member of the University Honors Program and a combined degree student who will stay at GW to receive her MS in Human Paleobiology.
Eleanor Ball (Lead Editor for Social Sciences) Eleanor is a senior from Des Moines, Iowa, double-majoring in Public Health and English. Previously, she’s worked with the Polk County Health Department to research local economic and health inequities impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Her other research interests include queer approaches to English Renaissance drama and Medieval poetry. Eleanor is also the Executive Producer of the GW Shakespeare Company and plans to pursue a Master’s in Library Science next spring.
Nammu Arumugasamy (Submission Recruitment Chair & Social Sciences Editor) Nammu is a senior from Seattle, Washington, majoring in Political Science and minoring in Criminal Justice. She plans to pursue criminal/civil law and is currently a member of GW’s Pre-Law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. Nammu is a part of GW’s Women’s Club Lacrosse and is an orientation leader for GW.
Jenna Ahart (Spring Director of GW Scope & Natural Sciences Editor) Jenna is a freshman from West Chester, Pennsylvania, who majors in Journalism and Mass Communications with a minor in Astronomy and Astrophysics. She is a member of the University Honors Program and currently works as a communications assistant for the Corcoran School of the Arts and Design.
Meghan Flanagan (Events Assistant) Meghan, originally from Houston, Texas, is a first-year studying Political Science and History at GW. She is currently serving as a US House of Representatives Intern, and is also involved with Phi Alpha Delta, the Pre-Law Fraternity.
