Traffic Management Local Residents Data Sheet Goodwoof 18-19 May 2024 Event Opening Times Saturday 18 May: 09:30 – 17:00 Sunday 19 May: 09.30 – 17:00 Event Installation: There will be a small increase in transport ferrying essential event infrastructure to the grounds of Goodwood House in the two weeks prior to the event. This transport will be directed to enter the main Goodwood House entrance from Kennel Hill. During the final week of installation, traffic will moderately increase, but will predominantly exit via Princes Drive and onto Selhurst Park Road. Normal traffic will not be affected in the lead up to the event. During the Event: Event parking will be in Car Park A, accessed from New Road. Shuttle buses to the event will run on a one-way system to Goodwood House: entry into Car Park A from Kennel Hill, exit via New Barn Hill and back into Goodwood House via Park Road, adjacent to the Goodwood Hotel. The buses then exit via Kennel Hill, returning into Car Park A. A section of New Road, from New Road Roundabout to Westerton Crossroads, may be closed between 15:00 and 19:00 on the Saturday and Sunday of the event, dependent upon volume of traffic exiting the car park. The closures are subject to implementation by Sussex Police and our Traffic Management Partner, Special Events Parking (SEP), and the closures are lifted when traffic is deemed as light. We recommend that you avoid the road closures wherever possible. Event Extraction: The traffic will be moderate on Monday 20 May and traffic movements will fall away rapidly after that. Normal use of these routes will be unaffected during this time. Liaison: The aim of Goodwood Estate is to keep the impact of the events on the local community to an absolute minimum but, as you can appreciate, hosting events can lead to some logistical issues. Throughout the year we host a series of meetings and work closely with the Local Authorities, Highway Network Services, the Emergency services, the public transport provider and the Local Parish Councils to ensure that the traffic management of the event is as effective and as efficient as possible. If you have any questions, please direct them in the first instance to the Ticket Office on 01243 755055.

Road Closure Plan A road closure has been applied for to extend from New Road Roundabout to Westerton Crossroads, this will assist the egress of traffic from car park A. Road closure hours dependent upon volume of traffic, during the hours of 15:00 – 19:00.
