2024 marked an important milestone for Goodwill Industries of Southern Arizona. For the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, our programs served over 10,000 individuals. This includes 7,361 adults, 2,478 youth and 583 Goodwill employees, all served by at least one of our twelve programs. Initiatives like our youth centers saw over 13,000 visits alone! We put the “work” in workforce development. Goodwill employs over 600 individuals in full-time positions with benefits. From our retail stores, to operations and everything in between, we strive to provide our customers with the best service and our community and employees with the most opportunity for growth.

• ANTIQUES

This year, we announced the official launch of The Village Program, a community violence intervention (CVI) program brought to Tucson in partnership with leading organizations such as Banner – University Medicine and the City of Tucson. This CVI ecosystem includes community-led strategies to interrupt the spread of community gun violence that occurs in public places by engaging those at highest risk by providing support services that fit individual needs.

Our community showed up for us once again this year! Together with our generous donors, we diverted over 36 million pounds from local landfills. Those donations found good homes and in turn, provided direct support to families here in our community. Aside from our own programs, Goodwill supports other meaningful local causes. For example Iskashitaa, Literacy Connects, Southwest Medical Aid and Z Mansion all receive donations and support through our stores and donation centers. Beyond our region, Goodwill of Southern Arizona stretched our impact all the way to Bali by partnering with Rotary Club of Tucson Sunrise to provide over 1,000 skeins of yarn for women and families in need through the Sewing For Living project. The project encourages entrepreneurship and financial independence for women in the area.
