As year end approaches, we are taking time to reflect and appreciate all that we have accomplished in 2022/23! We are so happy and honored to announce that both our staff and programs continue to expand. THIS YEAR, Goodwill of Southern Arizona increased the number of program participants SERVED by over 3,000 individuals, for a total of 7,909 LIVES CHANGED FOR THE BETTER. Much of that growth can be attributed to the expansion of Goodwill’s youth and adult centers, the addition of new county contracts and an increase in community participation at all levels of the organization.
In the past year, the Goodwill Youth Opportunity Center successfully launched on Tucson’s eastside, with another youth center coming soon to the store on West Ina Road. Each Goodwill youth center offers dropin and long term support services to local youth that may need tutoring or access to academic support, food assistance, personal and career guidance. With over 15,000 visits to our youth and Career Centers this year, Goodwill is proud to serve more and more people As we expand our programming AND RESOURCES.
Goodwill staff also supports important local initiatives in sustainability, equity and employment. The October DREAM job fair HOSTED over 600 job seekers and 40 top, local employers AND RESOURCE PROVIDERS. Goodwill is also a founding member of the ZERO Waste Tucson collection drives with the City of Tucson, Pima County, Tucson Clean and Beautiful, Mrs. Green’s World and a handful of other organizations championing sustainability in Southern Arizona. We are excited for Another year of Growth and Thankful for the ongoing support and generosity from our community. Looking forward to an amazing YEAR.

Dakota’s time at Goodwill Began As part of our Youth Restoration Project. Learning to work with his hands and build things, Dakota grew in confidence and started moving towards Establishing HIS OWN independence. our Youth Restoration Manager, Will Anderson, worked closely with Dakota on his daily and long-term goals.
Going down his list of needs, Will and the rest of our staff worked with this hardworking young man on Attaining a GED, Getting HIS dRIVER’s LICEnse, Securing his own apartment, establishing independence and Earning an eventual promotion to a Full-time maintenance tech here at Goodwill. Dakota’s effort and focus has never wavered all these years. His journey is a testament to hard work and determination. We are more than proud to have been a part of Dakota’s journey.
