In June, GIMI proudly launched its 26th ADC in Lake Flores. Officially opening its doors on June 15th, the new location has already made an impact—welcoming over 100 donors in June
June also marked our quarterly ADC meeting, where we had the pleasure of connecting with many new team members and recognizing the incredible tenure of our seasoned staff. It was an energizing session filled with collaboration, celebration, and a shared vision for the future.
In June, our TLC team came together for a dynamic and productive session focused on tackling operational challenges and strengthening our leadership network. These conversations are vital to our continued success, as they allow us to align on priorities, share insights, and build the collaborative momentum that drives our organization forward. The energy and commitment in the room were a powerful reminder of the strength we have when we lead together.
In June, our operations team gathered for our biannual retreat an energizing opportunity to focus on personal leadership development and deepen collaboration across our team. This year, we took our commitment to growth a step further by volunteering at the Easterseals Ranch, where we rolled up our sleeves to help wash horse trailers and support their incredible mission.
Through this hands-on experience, we not only strengthened our bonds as a team but also gained a deeper appreciation for the transformative work Easterseals does through equine therapy. It was a powerful reminder that leadership is rooted in service, and that together, we can make a meaningful impact both inside and outside our organization.
The Gulfstream GCC team launched Phase 1 of a sales floor refresh, introducing:
A new shoe wall
A Large Hard Good Riser
An increase of over 300 linear feet in apparel display space
The transformation has been met with enthusiastic feedback from both team members and customers. This marks a strong start to a broader initiative to revitalize sales floors across locations in the coming months.
Directors and OTCs participated in a leadership development workshop led by Lucas Webber, Director of Operations Leadership Development. The session focused on:
Defining leadership expectations
Exploring strategies to support leadership growth
The insights gained will be shared in an upcoming TLC meeting, reinforcing a culture of continuous learning and leadership excellence
A new partnership with The Breakers hotel on Palm Beach Island has already made a significant impact:
130+ bales of cardboard recycled over 13 weeks
Donations of 300 steak knives, office and patio furniture, and other fixtures
These items have been resold in stores, directly supporting the mission
This collaboration showcases the power of sustainable practices and community engagement in driving both environmental and social value.

Congratulations to Holly Garcia, TL of Loss Control and Claims for completing The Professional Claims Adjusters Course. This is a great achievement and benefit to our teams.
Consistent communication and adherence to processes are essential, as actions at each location influence the entire organization. Deviations in areas such as incident reporting, injuries, time and attendance, scheduling, and accountability increase organizational risk and impact overall performance and the rise in claim costs.
The most prominent trend observed in June relates to our HCP (Household Chemical Product) breakdowns. The three most frequent errors include:
• Incorrect use of red labels on Household Product totes,
• Placing sellable household cleaners into the nonsellable Solvents tote, and
• Failing to bag all liquids and powders before placing them into totes.
These mistakes can result in multiple incidents involving containers breaking, leaking, or even exploding posing serious safety risks due to potential chemical reactions. A recent example involved a can of lighter fluid.
• Be the best witness and document. If you see something, say something.
• Over/Shorts with cash handling continues trending upward. Please review SOP 142.1 & 142.2 and follow the process.
