Goodman Masson is committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030

Baseline Emissions Footprint

We have accounted for all quantified GHG emissions and/or removals from facilities over which it has financial control The 2019 - 2020 assessment covers our UK operations

It should be noted that our offices were closed due to the COVID pandemic for three months of this 12-month period, therefore decreasing the electricity consumption As a result, it would be expected for electricity consumption and total site emissions to increase in future assessments which have included our international offices in Germany and New York.

Emissions Reduction Targets

In order to continue our progress toward achieving Net Zero, we have adopted the following carbon reduction targets:

Reduce scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2020 base year

Reduce scope 3 GHG emissions by 50% by 2030 from a 2020 base year

Completed Carbon Reduction Projects

The following environmental management measures and projects have been completed or implemented since the 2020 baseline. The carbon emission reduction achieved by these schemes equates to 15.79 tCO2e, an 18% reduction against the 2020 baseline, and the measures will be in effect when performing the contract.

Implemented a sustainable travel policy

Reviewed environmentally friendly product options and energy-saving products (annually)

Monitored and reduced paper usage by 10% on previous years

Maintained low CO2 emissions by encouraging all staff to continue using public transport

Developing sustainable and environmental purchasing company-wide

Monitor recycling levels to ensure continuous improvements, providing education to all employees on recycling in the office and at home

Ensuring all IT equipment is recycled

Actively encouraging all employees to take an active interest in the environmental performance of the company by completing training and running team initiatives such as an Environment Scavenger hunt

Having carbon assessed annually by an external supplier, offsetting this to remain carbon neutral

Switched to a green energy supplier

Future Carbon Reduction Projects

In the future, we hope to implement further measures such as:

Training for staff including educational webinars such as 'Money Saving Tips' which includes sustainable tips and tricks

Switching our event caterers to provide vegan-only food at events

Contacting our waste Management Company to discuss the implementation of composting

Introducing more recycling points in office

Reduce plastic consumption in the office year on year by providing reusables for all staff and purchasing plastic-free options

Assess our supplier's environmental impact through due diligence forms (annually)

Remaining Carbon Neutral across all offices

Declaration and Sign Off

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been completed in accordance with PPN 06/21 and associated guidance and reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans.

Emissions have been reported and recorded in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the GHG Reporting Protocol corporate standard and uses the appropriate Government emission conversion factors for greenhouse gas company reporting

Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been reported in accordance with SECR requirements, and the required subset of Scope 3 emissions have been reported in accordance with the published reporting standard for Carbon Reduction Plans and the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard.

This Carbon Reduction Plan has been reviewed and signed off by the board of directors (or equivalent management body).
