FORMER STUDENT LILY INSPIRES YEAR 11S WITH HER JOURNEY FROM GOLBORNE HIGH TO A CAREER IN LAW
We were delighted to see the return of Lily, an ex-pupil of the Class of 2020, who came in to school to speak with current students about her personal journey from Golborne High to college, her post-16 experiences, and her pathway to a successful career with DWF Law. Her visit provided valuable insight and inspiration to our Year 11 pupils as they prepare for their own transitions to post-16 education. A big thank you to Lily for coming in to share her story.

The beginning of February was Children’s Mental Health Week. Place2Be were the driving force behind the awareness week for children and young people to focus on themselves and to grow and thrive as individuals The theme for this year was ‘Know Yourself, Grow Yourself’.
It is so important we understand what makes us ‘tick’, our likes and dislikes, strengths, fears, hopes and dreams. Our emotions play a key role in telling us just that, and being aware of how to listen to and express ourselves is a major part of building selfawareness. It is through knowing ourselves and speaking with others, that we can build resilience, grow and develop.
At Golborne way gave gentle reminders for our pupils to grow and develop themselves by informative presentations that were shown at tutor and around school over the week
Miss Clegg's Year 10 Food Technology class crafted these amazingly vibrant mini pavlova and crème pâtissière desserts using fresh ingredients and a creative touch! Our Year 9 art students have been busy bringing miniature worlds to life! Inspired by the incredible work of self-taught stencil artist Joshua Smith, they’ve designed and built their own detailed dioramas, capturing the beauty of urban decay.
From rusted surfaces to overgrown moss, every detail tells a story. Using card, prints, paint, and creative textures, they’ve transformed their research on architecture into stunning scale models.
