Il Mondo è Cambiato EDITORIALE DI GIORGIO GUGLIELMINI

Si apre una nuova era; nonostante tutte le conquiste dell’umanità è bastato soltanto un virus a cambiare l’esistenza di molte persone. Molti hanno perso il lavoro e si sono dovuti riadattare a nuove forme di comunicazione come lo smart working.

Tutti abbiamo dovuto fare i conti e adattarci a una questa transizione, come nel dopo guerra stiamo cercando di fronteggiare un nuovo modo di vivere.

Personalente non credo che torneremo a quella stessa spensieratezza alla quale questa isola magica ci ha abituato, credo invece che il cambiamento in atto sarà molto evidente e che svilupperemo un nuovo modo di “desfrutar” la gioia di vivere.

Il colpo è stato devastante, in quasi 20 anni di presenza sull’isola non ho mai visto tante attività costrette a chiudere per la morsa di questa epidemia e tante famiglie messe in ginocchio.

Sicuramente ogni trasformazione ha bisogno di un periodo di assestamento, ma non sarà così facile per tutti, bisognerà rimboccarsi le maniche e ricostruire ciò che abbiamo perso.

Nonostante tutto continuo a credere in coloro che attraverso il lavoro preservano lo sviluppo di quest’isola: sapranno creare nuove forme di sviluppo che caratterizzano Ibiza come il paradiso della vacanza spensierata.

Ibiza Luxe, dopo la pausa obbligata di un anno torna a portarvi notizie dal modo del life style, credendo sempre che i sognatori non muoiono mai, che l’arte in ogni sua forma sia perpetua e grandiosa e che nulla potrà mai cambiare questo aspetto meraviglioso.

Ibiza non è solo il suo meraviglioso mare, è uno stile di vita, è un gioiello prezioso che si indossa, una favola da raccontare.

A new era begins; despite all the achievements of humanity, only one virus was enough to change the existence of many people. Many have lost their jobs and have had to readjust to new forms of communication such as smart working.

We have all had to deal with and adapt to a new transitional era, as in the post-war period we are trying to face a new way of life.

Personally, I don’t think we will go back to the same light-heartedness to which this magical island has accustomed us, I believe instead that the change taking place will be very evident and that we will develop a new way of “desfrutar” the joy of living. The blow was devastating, in almost 20 years of presence on the island I have never seen so many businesses forced to close due to the grip of this epidemic and so many families brought to their knees.

Surely every transformation needs a period of adjustment, but it will not be that easy for everyone, we will have to work hard to rebuild what we have lost.

Despite everything, I continue to believe in those who, through work, preserve the development of this island: they will be able to create new forms of development that characterize Ibiza as a paradise for carefree holidays.

Ibiza Luxe, after the obligatory break of a year, returns to bring you news from the world of life style, always believing that dreamers never die, that art in all its forms is perpetual and that nothing can ever change this wonderful aspect .

Ibiza is not only its wonderful sea, it is a lifestyle, it is a precious jewel that is worn, a fairy tale to tell.

Un’esplosione di vivace creatività tra toni luminosi e stampe serpente di ispirazione mitologica, per cambiare pelle come ci si cambia d’abito.

“In this collection I wanted to create my goddesses of color, activists of shades who will bring us the chromatic energy for the spring-summer, which is so important this year” says Maria Escoté, the Spanish designer who is testing her for Desigual brand. New York, Las Vegas, Miami e Los Angeles sono le location privilegiate delle incursioni fotografiche di Helmut Newton, interprete controverso e trasgressivo del nudo femminile, che negli anni Settanta ha ampliato i suoi orizzonti scattando anche per l’edizione americana di Vogue, oltre che per la francese. I suoi scatti del periodo americano sono esposti accanto a quelli di Evelyn Hofer, Sheila Metzner e Joel Meyerowitz nella mostra “America 1970s/80s” alla Fondazione Helmut Newton di Berlino. Un tributo che cade ad un anno dal centenario della sua nascita, celebrando l’obiettivo ribelle del fotografo tedesco: “Se c’è qualcosa che odio, è sicuramente il buon gusto: per me è una parolaccia”.

“I am not a terrorist, please don’t arrest me”, “Non sono un terrorista, per favore non arrestatemi”. Solo uno dei provocatori messaggi che la stilista inglese Vivienne Westwood ha affidato alla sua moda sulla spinta dell’attivismo sociale e dell’impegno ecologista. Non solo abiti che vivono giusto il tempo dello show in passerella, ma invettive e slogan che tuonano sulla stoffa per risvegliare le coscienze e sensibilizzare alla lotta contro i cambiamenti climatici, respingendo il consumismo estremo insieme a ogni forma di pregiudizio sociale. Festeggia oggi 80 anni, Miss Viv, con la stessa grinta e determinazione degli esordi nei’70 al fianco del suo allora compagno Malcom McLaren, leader dei Sex Pistols, con cui aprì la storica boutique londinese al numero 430 di Kings Road, definendo col suo tratto creativo l’estetica della cultura punk. “A 5 anni sapevo già fare un paio di scarpe e a 11 mi cucivo i vestiti da sola” racconta nel docufilm “Vivien Westwood: Punk, Icona, Attivista” firmato da Lorna Tucker. “Non c’é che un solo istante in cui un essere umano dotato di bellezza è veramente bello” sosteneva Thomas Mann. Che si riferisse alla fotografia? E nel caso specifico, se il soggetto dell’immagine è già dotato di una sua bellezza naturale, cosa può aggiungere ancora la fotografia? Un pizzico di magia, come quello di un occhio (in)discreto che scava nell’animo mettendo a nudo la personalità di dive e divine inarrivabili per ideale estetico. Lo si intuisce sfogliando con gli occhi gli scatti protagonisti di “Milton H. Greene. Women”, la mostra da poco inaugurata al Centro Culturale Candiani di Venezia (fino al prossimo 29 aprile - a cura di Anne Morin, collezione Elizabeth Margot in collaborazione con diChroma Photography). Più di cento immagini inedite confezionate dall’artista americano, mosso da un’irrefrenabile passione per la ricerca della “vera” bellezza femminile.

Newyorchese di nascita, classe 1922, Milton H. Greene frequentò il Pratt Institute di Brooklin, avviandosi ben presto alla fotografia di moda. I suoi scatti velo-

ci, poco preparati o per nulla, ebbero il merito di cavalcare la rivoluzione del ready to wear esplosa nel secondo dopoguerra.”Il nuovo assetto produttivo si riverberò inevitabilmente anche in campo fotografico, non più modelle dall’eterea bellezza racchiuse in crisalidi sontuose ma ragazze semplici, spigliate, che si muovevano su scenari abituali e riconoscibili: strade animate, stazioni della metropolitana, aeroporti – scrive Manfredo Manfroi presentando il genio di Milton H. And in this specific case, if the subject of the image is already endowed with its own natural beauty, what more can photography add? A pinch of magic, like that of an (in) discreet eye that digs into the soul, exposing the personality of divas unattainable for aesthetic ideal.
