Nel nostro magazine dedicato all’isola della notte e dei Beach Club, dove i Dj la fanno da padroni, non poteva mancare un inserto che si occupasse degli eventi più esclusivi e significativi: Ibiza Luxe Night.

Ecco quindi nuovi collaboratori e writers della notte pronti a stupirvi con interviste, anticipazioni, eventi, foto e articoli su tutto quello che si muove nella notte dell’Isla Blanca.

Ma tutto questo non cambia il life style di Ibiza Luxe dove ogni anno vi accompagnamo, attraverso la nostra redazione, a scrutare il mondo con i nostri più arguti globetrotter.

Un cambiamento anche nel portfolio per attraversare il mondo dell’arte che a Ibiza ha preso sempre più radici. Quest’anno ho avuto l’onore e il piacere di lavorare con un pittore di grande sensibilità creando una mostra dove il connubio tra arte e fotografia potesse mostrare quanto il piacere dell’immagine e la ricerca delle espressioni ci abbia ispirato a percorrere insieme una strada da sempre molto avversa.

Un grazie al pittore Natino Chirico e a tutti quelli che mi aiutano a sviluppare e sostenere il mio progetto, sperando che le immagini del portfolio di quest’anno possano fermare quell’attimo che tutti cerchiamo nella vita, e io, da fotografo, mi auguro che questo entusiasmo non finisca mai.

In our magazine, dedicated to the island of nightlife and beach clubs, where DJs reign supreme, an addendum covering the most significant and exclusive events could not be missing: Ibiza Luxe Night.

Therefore, here are new collaborators and writers ready to impress you with interviews, previews, reviews, photos and features on all that moves through the nights of the White Isle.

However, all this does not change the lifestyle of Ibiza Luxe where every year we accompany you, via our editorials, to probe the world with our keenest globetrotters.

Another change can also be found in the portfolio that travels into the art world which has been taking an increasingly strong hold of the island. This year I have had the honour of working with a painter of great sensibility to create an exhibition where the union between art and photography could display how much both the pleasure of the image and the search for expressions inspired us to go down a road traditionally at odds.

A thank you to the painter Natino Chirico and to all those who help me develop and sustain my project, hoping that the images of this year’s portfolio can seize the moment that we all seek in life. I, as a photographer, hope that this enthusiasm may continue indefinitely.

È tutta questione di vibrazioni. Positive, quelle necessarie per entrare a tutto sprint nella nuova stagione estiva. E se d’estate il benessere ha la sostanza di un bagno di sole e mare, a Ibiza le vibrazioni positive costituiscono l’attrazione principale.

Generosa di scorci paradisiaci per sua natura, l’Isla Blanca regala il fermo immagine di tramonti incantati, calette selvagge, acque cristalline e luoghi dove il tempo sembra fermarsi se solo lo si desidera. Curiosare all’Hippie Market è come fare un salto indietro nel tempo ai mitici Settanta, quando vestirsi di fiori corrispondeva a uno stato mentale e d’animo. Non una moda passeggera ma una questione di vibrazioni, positive, per l’appunto. Ed è proprio questo il nostro auspicio: accompagnarvi con rinnovata energia fin nel cuore dell’estate nel segno del pensiero positivo.

Con queste parole, lo scorso 24 febbraio, una commossa Lady Gaga stringeva tra le mani la statuetta degli Academy Awards vinta con “Shallow” decretata Miglior Canzone per il film “A Star is born” di cui la cantante è stata anche attrice protagonista al fianco di Bradley Cooper. Parole semplici, le sue, eppure gravose come un macigno. Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta – questo il suo vero nome – ne ha difatti provato il peso sulle sue spalle. Mille volte è caduta davanti a chi le diceva di essere troppo strana e bruttina per aspirare al successo, mille e uno volte si è rialzata, perfezionando se stessa e il suo lavoro con una instancabile passione. Le critiche l’hanno resa insicura ma mai arrendevole, così come la terribile fibromialgia cronica – causa di dolorose tensioni muscolari – la piega ma non la spezza. Di questa invalidante malattia ne parlò nel 2017 tramite un tweet, aggiungendo: “sono solo una ragazza che cerca di diventare una donna”. Ma guardarla a distanza di due anni su quel palco del Dolbhy Theatre di Los Angeles, seduta al piano, avvolta in un sontuoso abito nero, con capelli elegantemente raccolti e il viso appena truccato di chi non ha più bisogno di nascondersi, forse viene da pensare che quella ragazza oggi trentenne è appena diventata una meravigliosa donna.

Indimenticabili quelle sfarzose e coreografiche descritte ne “Il grande Gatsby”, romanzo di Scott Fitzgerald divenuto pellicola cinematografica nel 1974 per poi tramutarsi in remake nel 2004.

Stiamo parlando delle feste a bordo piscina, una moda esplosa negli Stati Uniti e diffusasi proprio grazie al cinema che ha fatto del pool party un elemento imprescindibile, soprattutto a partire dagli Anni Ottanta. È proprio in quel decennio, infatti, che la piscina inizia a rappresentare un vero e proprio status symbol.

Che si trattasse di feste giovanili o sofisticate serate tra adulti, la piscina diventa così il cuore pulsante di ogni festa. Ed oggi, proprio grazie all’allure glamour e fascinosa che la circonda, torna a essere protagonista della convivialità en plein air. Meglio ancora se collocata al centro di uno spazioso giardino, tra arredi di design e piante floreali. Il suo bordo è quindi il luogo migliore per godersi il sole nelle ore calde, magari su un comodo lettino, nonché la cornice perfetta per gustarsi l’aperitivo o una cena stellata: non solo per il palato, ma anche per gli astri che si riflettono sulle sue calme acque.

Even better if placed in the center of a spacious garden, including designer furnishings and floral plants. Una lingua di sabbia dorata, le dune e la battigia accarezzata dalle onde (vere) del mare, infrante – per così dire – dal passo veloce e moderno di giovani ragazze, ambasciatrici dello stile libero firmato dalla Maison Chanel per la prossima primavera/estate 2019. Il pensiero corre a Deauville, la raffinata località balneare della Normandia amata a suo tempo da Mademoiselle Coco Chanel; mentre sfilano sotto le volte del Grand Palais, modelle le “pied-dans-l’eau”, l’attitudine fresca di abiti nei colori dell’arcobaleno o nell’inedita stampa ombrellone, sfoggiati senza scarpe ma con doppia borsa in pelle matelassé o clutch a conchiglia. Che l’estate abbia inizio: buon mare!

Un percorso nel linguaggio estetico mediterraneo, tra tonalità calde, intrecci e declinazioni materiche di arredi e oggetti: è questa la linea guida dell’esposizione “Inspired in Barcelona: Mediterranean Design”, promossa in occasione della Milano Design Week 2019 da Catalonia Trade & Investment, Ajuntament de Barcelona e organizzata da BCD Barcelona Centre de Disseny con la partecipazione di Habitat Cluster Barcelona. Dai tappeti ai vasi in coccio che rievocano il processo della tornitura a mano, alla lampade fatte da cordoncini che creano una trama contemporanea. E ancora le mattonelle stampate a rilievo per la pavimentazione urbana e gli arredi dai colori accesi selezionati tra brand consolidati, marchi meno noti e un collettivo di giovani designer, che nell’insieme confermano una profonda influenza mediterranea, quale linguaggio estetico in cui si armonizzano funzionalità, emozione e un immaginario vivo e dinamico.

A journey through the Mediterranean aesthetic language, between warm tones, weaves and material declinations of furnishings and objects: this is the guideline of the exhibition “Inspired in Barcelona: Mediterranean Design�, promoted at the Milan Design Week by Catalonia Trade & Investment , Ajuntament de Barcelona and organized by BCD Barcelona Center de Disseny with the participation of Habitat Cluster Barcelona. From carpets to earthenware vases that evoke the process of turning by hand, to lamps made from cords that create a contemporary texture. And more the relief printed tiles for the urban pavement and the brightly colored furnishings selected from established brands, lesser-known brands and a collective of young designers, which together confirm a profound Mediterranean influence, as an aesthetic language in which functionality is harmonized with emotion and a living and dynamic imagery.

«In ultima istanza la bellezza altro non è che un atteggiamento». Potrebbe essere riassunto da queste parole - tratte dalla penna della celebre scrittrice Isabel Allende - il senso del progetto “Sois Belle” messo a punto da Annelie Vandendael, giovane talento della fotografia che rifugge l’estetica patinata figlia del nostro tempo in favore di un’autenticità troppo spesso edulcorata da filtri e manipolazioni.

La fotografa di origine belga, classe 1987, per perseguire il suo intento si affida all’obiettivo di una camera analogica, realizzando scatti tecnicamente perfetti e rigorosamente privi di filtri che mettono in risalto la «vera bellezza dell’essere umano, incluse le sue imperfezioni». Protagonisti sono soprattutto soggetti femminili, donne reali e bellissime immortalate tra fenicotteri rosa, cieli tersi, dune di sabbia, pesci e altri elementi naturali. C’è un che di poetico e giocoso in queste figure dal viso quasi sempre coperto, che sembrano giocare a nascondino con lo spettatore. «Il corpo è in grado di parlare da sé, anche senza il volto.

A rivelarne la personalità e l’unicità sono le pose, i paesaggi, i colori».

Surreali, vivaci e venate da una sottile ironia, le composizioni di Annelie Vandendael - che a soli 32 anni vanta prestigiose collaborazioni, tra cui quella con lo stilista Paul Smith e quella con la Fabrica, il centro di ricerca sulla comunicazione di Treviso fondato nel 1994 da Luciano Benetton e Oliviero Toscani - rappresentano un vero e proprio manifesto contro stereotipi e convenzioni. Un invito - quantomai attuale - ad andare oltre le apparenze.

“In the end, beauty is nothing but an attitude”. It could be summed up by these words - taken from the pen of the famous writer Isabel Allende - the meaning of the project “Sois Belle” developed by Annelie Vandendael, a young talent of photography who escapes the glossy aesthetic of our time in favor of an authenticity too often sweetened by filters and manipulations.

The Belgian-born photographer, born in 1987, relies on the lens of an analog camera to pursue her intent, creating shots that are technically perfect and rigorously free of filters that highlight the «true beauty of human being, including imperfections ».

The protagonists are above all female subjects, real and beautiful women immortalized among pink flamingos, clear skies, sand dunes, fish and other natural elements. There is something poetic and playful in these figures with almost always covered N APERTURA: faces, which seem to play hide and seek with the viewer. «The body is able to speak for itself, even without the face. “È IL VALORE DELL’AFFINITÀ QUELLO CHE STA EMERGENDO, LA SINERGIA TRA UN PRODOTTO E CHI LO COMPRA: C’È NEL DESIGN UN TEMA AFFETTIVO, UN QUID CHE STA VICINO ALLA TUA PELLE, ALLA TUA QUOTIDIANITÀ”.

Mutevole, versatile, eclettico, multiforme. Così potrebbe riassumersi il percorso creativo di Patricia Urquiola, designer spagnola classe 1961. Una mente brillante, la sua, ma soprattutto in continuo movimento. Proprio come le nuvole del cielo atlantico che sovrastano Oviedo, la città che le ha dato i natali. La sua passione per la progettazione e il disegno l’hanno portata, però, a Milano, che è ben presto diventata la sua seconda casa nonché la fucina della sua irrefrenabile voglia di creare. Perchè è qui che nel 2001 ha aperto il suo studio di progettazione. Molteni, Moroso, B&B Italia, Flos, Kettal, Cassina (di cui è art director), Agape, Gan, Alessi: tanti i brand a cui Patricia ha prestato estro e matita e tanti i riconoscimenti arrivati come, tra gli altri, il Wallpaper Design Award, l’Elle Decor International Design Award e il Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Award. Molti, quindi, gli obiettivi raggiunti nel corso della sua carriera, iniziata con la Laurea con Lode presa alla Bocconi nel 1989. Una vita alla ricerca di nuove strade da percorrere, dunque, e non solo metaforiche. “Ogni viaggio innesca uno stimolo nuovo – ha dichiarato la designer in passato – un coinvolgimento che fa scattare qualcosa. Ho aperto lo studio quando ero nei pressi dei miei 40 anni, spinta da Piero Lissoni soprattutto. Mi sembrava di essere matura per esprimere il mio linguaggio. Lissoni diceva che se avevo un criterio, un’opinione, dovevo provarci”. E di fronte alle sfide Urquiola non si è mai tirata indietro, anzi. Così sono nati pezzi diventati iconici: dal tavolo Big Bug di Mutina alle porcellane Landscape firmate per Rosenthal. Il design, infatti, è il suo più grande amore sebbene nel suo studio non manchino lavori di allestimento e architettura, tra cui figurano diversi showroom per importanti aziende, alberghi (come il Mandarin Oriental Hotel di Barcellona), scenografie e case private. Il tutto sempre accomunato da una esuberante spinta dell’estro. “Lungo questo percorso incontri continuamente un tema nuovo, un orizzonte che emerge e che ti occupa completamente.

La verità è che sono attratta da ogni possibile conquista perché sperimentare significa anche sbagliare e poi riprovare. Ogni frazione del presente contiene qualcosa che riguarda il futuro. La vita è così. Ed è bello che sia così”. Parola di Patricia Urquiola.

Mutable, versatile, eclectic, multi-faceted. Thus the creative path of Patricia Urquiola, a Spanish designer born in 1961, could be summarized. A brilliant mind, but above all constantly on the move. Just like the clouds of the Atlantic sky that dominate Oviedo, the city in which she was born. “The Master of haute couture” lo etichettava Monsieur Christian Dior, perché: “Se l’haute couture è come un’orchestra, lui ne è il direttore e noi altri stilisti i musicisti che seguono la direzione da lui impartita”.

E di fatto il sarto basco Cristòbal Balenciaga, maestro di taglio e di precisione, non si risparmiò assoli memorabili, sperimentando come mai prima tagli inediti e volumi strabordanti creatività e rigore, presi in prestito dall’architettura come dai grandi maestri della pittura spagnola. Cromatismi, pennellate in punta di ago e filo su cui riflette oggi la mostra “Balenciaga and Spanish Painting” ospitata fino al prossimo 22 settembre dal Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisz di Madrid. Novanta abiti e più di cinquanta opere di El Greco, Velázquez e Goya (tra gli altri) per imbastire un dialogo sul filo della moda che si fa arte.

And in fact the Basque tailor Cristòbal Balenciaga, a master of cutting and precision, did not avoid memorable solos, experimenting as never before with new cuts and volumes overflowing creativity and rigor, borrowed from architecture as from the great masters of Spanish painting. Chromatisms, brushstrokes on the tip of a needle and thread on which is based the “Balenciaga and Spanish Painting” exhibition, hosted up until next September 22 at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisz in Madrid. Ninety dresses and more than fifty works by El Greco, Velázquez and Goya (among the others) to create a dialogue on the thread of fashion that becomes art.

In principio fu il “guerilla gardening”, una sorta di giardinaggio libero d’assalto, non violento, ma dalla connotazione politica che mirava a interagire con lo spazio urbano, restituendo un polmone verde alla giungla d’asfalto cittadina. Una forma di giardinaggio radicale diffusa in tutto il mondo, i cui principi green sono sempre più condivisi dall’esercito pacifico degli appassionati dal pollice verde, che secondo le stime di Coldiretti sono più di 6 italiani su 10. Dedicano parte del loro tempo libero alla coltivazione di verdure e piante curando piccoli orti domestici se non cittadini e mobili: si moltiplicano infatti le soluzioni di design quali kit modulari da assemblare a piacimento per coltivare insalata, basilico e quant’altro dove più si desidera. E che il giardinaggio urbano da hobby sia divenuto un vero e proprio trend, lo testimoniano anche le manifestazioni a tema che mirano a sensibilizzare i cittadini alla cultura del verde: dal Festival del Verde e del Paesaggio che porta all’Auditorium Parco della Musica di Roma i migliori vivaisti d’Italia insieme a paesaggisti, architetti e creativi degli spazi verdi, al Chelsea Flower Show di Londra, la fiera di floricoltura cui parteciperanno anche le Duchesse Meghan Markle e Kate Middleton, firmando due giardini ecologici. Prima di loro su territorio americano era stata Michelle Obama, allora firts lady d’America, la fautrice dell’orto adiacente la Casa Bianca oggi rilanciato da Melania Trump, quale simbolo della lotta per una sana alimentazione soprattutto tra i più giovani.

In the beginning was the “guerilla gardening”, a sort of mass free gardening, not violent, but with a political connotation that aimed to interact with the urban space, returning a green lung to the town’s asphalt jungle. A form of radical gardening spread all over the world, whose green principles are increasingly shared by the peaceful army of green-thumb enthusiasts, who according to Coldiretti estimates are more than 6 out of 10 Italians. They devote part of their free time to cultivation of vegetables and plants taking care of small domestic, city or mobile garden: in fact, design solutions are multiplying as modular kits to be assembled at will to grow salad, basil and anything else you want. And that urban gardening as a hobby has become a real trend, as evidenced by the theme events that aim to raise public awareness of the green culture: from the Festival of the Green and the Landscape that leads to the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome the best nurserymen in Italy together with landscapers, architects and creative designers of green spaces, at the Chelsea Flower Show in London, the floriculture fair which will also be attended by the Duchesses Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, signing two ecological gardens. Before them in America it was Michelle Obama, Firts lady of America at the time, the promoter of the garden adjacent to the White House today relaunched by Melania Trump, as a symbol of the struggle for healthy eating, especially among the youngest.

«Non dimenticherò mai la prima grande onda che presi là fuori nelle acque profonde. La vidi arrivare, le girai le spalle e pagaiai a più non posso. La mia tavola correva sempre più veloce, al punto che le mie braccia sembrarono staccarsi. Non riuscivo a vedere niente, perché ero sepolto nel bianco spumeggiante della cresta. Ma non mi importava. Ero conscio della felicità estatica derivante dall’aver preso l’onda». Le parole di Jack London (“La crociera dello Snark”) raccontano alla perfezione cosa cercano i surfisti: il ricordo di quell’attimo sospeso nel tempo che li spinge in acqua ogni giorno. Tra gli scrittori, lui è il primo grande pioniere di questo sport, conosciuto nel 1907 alle Hawaii e dal quale viene stregato irreversibilmente. Stregato dal mare, dalle onde, dalla potenza e dalla bellezza della natura è anche Luca Merli, surfista, fotografo, film-maker, regista di video clip (Subsonica solo per citarne alcuni) e di spot pubblicitari. La passione per le immagini e per la fotografia non gli ha mai fatto mettere in secondo piano il suo primo grande amore: il surf. Anzi, lo ha fatto diventare il “soggetto” del suo lavoro.

Lo dimostrano tutti i suoi racconti sul surf, che vanno dal cult movie “Onde Nostre” ai 20 minuti di “Ritratti di surf” dai 70 del docufilm “Peninsula” passando per la sua ultima creatura cinematografica “Nausicaa”. Luca Merli ha anche fondato, tra anni fa, il SSFF, lo Skate & Surf Film Festival, di cui è direttore artistico, che a Milano chiama a raduno le voci più autorevoli di questo sport che piace a molti ma non è per tutti. Da dove nasce il fascino per la tavola e la passione per le onde? «Parte da molto lontano – spiega il regista-surfista, - dal viaggio per raggiungere gli spot dover surfare onde di qualità, il viaggio crea aspettativa, alimenta l’immaginario». L’attesa, l’attesa dell’onda giusta è una parte fondamentale della vita del surfista soprattutto in Italia. «Il bello del surf - conclude Merli – è che piace anche ai non surfisti. Ti dà emozioni che ti rimangono dentro, ma è anche una storia di passione, amicizia, condivisione. Il surf, si sa, è molto di più di uno sport, è uno stile di vita».

The words of Jack London (“The cruise of the Snark”) tell perfectly what surfers are looking for: the memory of that moment suspended in time that pushes them into the water every day. Among the writers, he is the first great pioneer of this sport, known in 1907 in Hawaii and from which he is irreversibly bewitched. Bewitched by the sea, the waves, the power and the beauty of nature is also Luca Merli, surfer, photographer, film-maker, video clip director (Subsonica just to name a few) and commercials. “È STATO COME VEDERE IL MONDO PER LA PRIMA VOLTA CON OCCHI NUOVI.” KIRSTY MITCHELL

Una favola surreale che non necessita di parole per essere narrata, basta spalancare bene gli occhi e insieme il cuore per carpire il mondo incantato della fotografa inglese Kirsty Mitchell. Studi di moda nel Kent, un lavoro come designer di moda, l’incontro con la fotografia quale cura dell’anima dopo il dramma della morte di sua madre: “È stato come vedere il mondo per la prima volta con occhi nuovi” racconta. E proprio in memoria della figura materna, che sin dall’infanzia le raccontava le fiabe, nasce il suo progetto Wonderland. Scatti che restituiscono un mondo fantastico, surreale come di una fiaba incantata: il luogo dell’anima, dove il sogno diventa realtà. “Questo progetto non è stato solo terapeutico per me, ma ha genuinamente cambiato la mia vita, mi ha portate a fare esperienze ‘reali’ di vita che altrimenti non avrei mai potuto provare restando seduta davanti alla TV” spiega.

E intanto le sue immagini fanno il giro del web approdando nei templi della fotografia contemporanea, come il Fotografiska di Stoccolma, in una full immersion per animi sensibili: “Una vera e propria esperienza da favola, come uno spettacolo pirotecnico dai colori vivaci in cui magia e realtà si incontrano nel viaggio che chiamiamo vita”.

Si prevede che entro il 2030 la filiera del tessile green rappresenterà fino al 20% del fatturato del settore in Italia (per un volume d’affari di circa 4,2 miliardi); mentre a livello globale fa riflettere l’importante passo in questa direzione del colosso della moda democratica H&M che mira a utilizzare il 100% di materiali riciclati o sostenibili per le sue creazioni entro il 2030. Nel frattempo spetta alla collezione Conscious Exclusive 2019 messa a punto dal marchio svedese, presentare alcune alternative naturali alla pelle come Pinatex, proveniente dalle foglie di ananas; Bloom, una schiuma vegetale estratta dalle alghe e Orange Fiber, un tessuto sostenibile ottenuto dagli scarti degli agrumi. Foglie d’ananas, alghe, agrumi ma anche vinacce e torsoli di mela, sono solo alcuni dei “bio-ingredienti”, per lo più scarto dell’industria agroalimentare, sui quali da tempo il fashion system lavora per avere delle alternative green ai tradizionali pellami. E se il dubbio sulle reali virtù dei novelli “tessuti non tessuti” è legittimo, le aziende produttrici ci tengono a precisare come gli stessi abbiano superato i test standard internazionali quali la resistenza allo strappo e alla trazione, sfoderando qualità insospettabili. Traspirante e flessibile, ad esempio, Piñatex a base di fibre di cellulosa estratte da foglie di ananas (scarto della raccolta), messo a punto dalla spagnola Carmen Hijosa seguendo un’antica tecnica delle Isole Filippine, con cui anche Hugo Boss ha già realizzato le sue sneakers “vegane”. Impermeabile e sorprendentemente resistente è la pelle non pelle a base di finocchio, su cui scommette l’americana Sidney Brown per stivaletti e sandali stiletto biodegradabili.

Ad Amsterdam si riutilizzano addirittura le gomme da masticare raccolte in strada, confezionandoci le suole delle speciali sneakers rosa “bubble gum”: un chilo di chewingum per quattro paia di calzature.

It is expected that by 2030 the green textile sector will represent up to 20% of the sector’s turnover in Italy (for a turnover of around 4.2 billion); while at the global level it reflects the important step in this direction of the democratic fashion giant H&M which aims to use 100% recycled or sustainable materials for its creations by 2030. In the meantime it is up to the Conscious Exclusive 2019 collection from the Swedish brand, to present some natural alternatives to the skin like Pinatex, coming from pineapple leaves; Bloom, a vegetable foam extracted from algae and Orange Fiber, a sustainable fabric obtained from citrus fruit waste. Pineapple leaves, algae, citrus fruits but also pomace and apple cores, are just some of the “bio-ingredients”, mostly waste from the agri-food industry, on which the fashion system has been working for a long time to have some green alternatives to traditional leather.

And if the doubt about the real virtues of the new “non-woven fabrics” is legitimate, the manufacturing companies are keen to point out how they have passed the international standard tests such as resistance to tearing and traction, unleashing unsuspected qualities. Breathable and flexible, for example, Piñatex based on cellulose fibers extracted from pineapple leaves (harvest waste), developed by the Spanish Carmen Hijosa following an ancient technique of the Philippines, with which Hugo Boss has already made his “vegan” sneakers. Waterproof and surprisingly durable, it is fennel-based leather - false leather, on which the American Sidney Brown is betting on for biodegradable ankle boots and stiletto sandals. In Amsterdam, even chewing gums picked up on the street are reused, packing the soles of the special pink bubble gum sneakers: a kilo of chewing gum for four pairs of shoes.

Odyssey from Ushuaïa to Hï Ibiza Playa d’en Bossa’s most luxurious super-clubs, Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza kicked of Ibiza 2019 with Odyssey, a 24-hour extravaganza that the island had not seen in a long time.

Presented by The Night League, the spectacular event also marked the first time the two award-winning nightclubs join forces to throw the ultimate day-to-night-to-day outdoor-indoor party.

In charge of festivities were a legion of underground electronic music superstars and 148
