Report on Apprenticeship Last year I worked as a volunteer at the orphanage of my city. I went there with 2 teammates from the erasmus+ team. This action was about to prepare a project, to presentate to our trip to Portugal. I went there 3 times, to help the children study their homework and explain them the questions they had about their subjects. We played with them, to make them feel happy. We also made some constructions and we played some team board games, all together, to make them understand what it means to be a member of a team. This experience was one of the best in my whole life. It changed the way I think, it made me to respect and appreciate much more my mother’s efforts to make me have a great life. I believe that everyone should think the way I do after this experience, value what they have and not ask for more. Margarita Despoina Kosma
Last week I went with my friend and my teacher in Kivotos. Kivotos is an institute where 23 boys without parents live. There we helped th other people to make 'Melomakarona' the Greek traditional sweets for Christmas. The chef gave us the recipe to make the sweets and we prepared about 100 pieces for the grate Christmas party in Tsalapatas factory. Then we put the sweets in boxes and there are ready for sale. This day was very important for me, because I learned to help people who are alone, without family and friends. All people must communicate and grow up in a very good society. We also learned how important are the cooperation and the solidarity in our life. This action can help me in the future to think about the other people who need help. I must be helpful and kind with the people who need support. Nobody knows how the future will be and we must be ready and willing to face the reality. Kostantinos Dotsias
One month ago I participated in World Junior Women's Water Polo championship as a volunteer. This championship lasted ten days and I went there six hours a day. I will never forget this experience and I did many things as a volunteer, which will definitily help me in my life. To begin with, I helped at the presentation of the teams since I was keeping the sign with the name of the country. Something else that I did is that in some games I was the ball-boy. By this I mean that I took the balls which were thrown out of the pool and then gave them to the assistant referee. Last but not least is that I helped at the starting of some games. Namely I pulled a rope so that the ball would be at the center of the pool. The truth is that I learned many things as a volunteer at this championship. I understood what fair play means. I learned new tacticals for the sport of water polo. I managed to give directions to athletes in order not to get lost at the facilities around the swimming pool. At this point I realised how important it is being able to communicate with people from all over the world. All in all I learned to help people with good mood and a cheerful spirit and that makes me happy. Some of the things that I learned can help me in my future and in my life. First of all understanding what fair play means, can help me in my future as a player of water polo and as a member of society. Being fair is more important than victory.
Victory means nothing if you don't beat your opponent in a fair way. It would be a dream come true to represent my counry, sing the national anthem and make my parents and my country proud. But the most important thing that will help me for sure is that now I know that nothing makes you happier than doing the thing you love. The satisfaction and pride I felt just playing a small role in this event compares to nothing. Dimitris Bombos

Work made by Alexandra Object number 1 This is my notebook, I use it everyday whether to express my opinions about something or to unburden my emotions. Object number 2 One of my biggest passions is writing so I picked a pen to represent my creative part. Object number 3 This is my favourite perfume, when I put it on I feel very girly and I also transmit to others a clean image of myself. Object number 4 Since I am also passionate about fashion, I picked one of my favourite accessories to remind myself of how important is being fashionable Object number 5 I use my sunglasses every time I travel. This item is in here because it reminds me of how many parts of the world I still have to discover. Object number 6 One of my favourite activities is being a scout. It represents a huge part of myself since I am part of this organization since I was 5. Object number 7 I love watches, to me they are a reminder that we should appreciate every moment that we have while we are still alive. Object number 8 I like watching football games and I am also a huge fan and supporter of the best club in the world, Futebol Clube do Porto. Object number 9 As lots of teenagers, music is also a part of me. It helps me distract myself from the daily school stresses and helps me concentrate on my daily tasks and routines.
Object number 10 Last but not least, I have this necklace which represents my whole family since it was given to me by my parents to represent my family.
Work made by Maria Beatriz
Hello! My name is Maria Beatriz Valente Silva, I´m fifteen years old and I´m from Portugal. I’ve chosen these 10 things that describe myself as a person. The first thing that I’ve chosen is my mobile phone . I chose my mobile phone because I use it a lot and it’s a great way to communicate with our friends and family. The second is my club scarf. My team scarf is very important to me , because I love too much football as a girl and I love being a supporter of sporting . The third and the fourth are a tennis ball and my tennis racket. I play ttennis, ennis, so they are very important to me . I like very much being a tennis player because it helps to relax. The fifth are my headphones. I´ve chosen my phones because I like to listen to music very much, it is a way that we have to relax, to concentrate and to abstract from our daily stuff. The sixth thing is a pen. In my opinion, great ideas always come when we have a pen in our hands, and today more than ever we need that , we need to have great ideas to be successful in job, in school and in life. So yes, I have chosen a pen, because when we have paper and a pen, we have the world in our hands. The seventh is my Economics book. I´m in the economics course , so it’s a book that is very important to me. The eighth is a picture of my family. Obviously, n nothing othing in my life is as important as my family. Our family will always be the most important thing in our lives, because they will always be on our side when we need them. The ninth is a picture of my hometown. I´m very proud to say that Marinha Grande is my hometown. Marinha Grande is a beautiful city and yes I could put a picture of Lisbon , but Marinha Grande will always be in my heart.
The tenth is a picture of a singer that I like very much, Shawn Mendes. He is a very, very good singer and the lyrics are excellent, they are very deep and beautiful. I´m a big fan and listen to his songs makes us realize that we need to be ourselves no matter who and what .
Work made by Rafaela Vaz Watch The first thing I've chosen was my watch. You can tell it's a really basic object, however for me it's one of the most important ones. It is the one that doesn't let me lose myself, without it my life would be a big mess because I have the need to be always checking the hours to organize my time. Minnie's ears The next ext thing are these Minnie's ears. They symbolize all my childhood and also every experience I passed through to be the person I am today. Everyone grows up but I believe we should never let our child´s heart die. Anne Frank's book The third thing I have chosen was Anne's Frank's book. I had to include a book in this list because I love reading. However, you may be wondering why I chose this book, why it had to be this book and not any other? The reason of my preference is that I really lly admire the strength Anne (and also her family) had in the whole book. Every time I read this book I feel selfish whenever I complain about my life. It's sad how some people passed through things like that. It's just so hard to understand how horrible ssociety ociety can be. Nowadays, they say "We are all different. It's good to be different" but at the end of the day it still happens that people that have different religion, colour, sexuality are treated in a different way of the ones that are in the "patterns" that our society follow. It's something our world needs to change urgently. Necklace The following one is this necklace. I have been using it every day for a year now and I can't really imagine my life without it. It has, somehow, mehow, a special meaning to me.
My sister Here's a picture of my younger and only sister. We've been through a lot together and the feeling of seeing her growing up with me it's something amazing. Even if we argue a lot she's always going to be my llittle sister who I adore a lot.
Madame Tussauds' picture So the next one is a picture that was taken in Madame Tussauds, London. They are my favourite band. This may sound silly but they changed my life, I wouldn't be the same person I am today. I admire so much how they stay true to themselves ves and inspire the others to do the same. They constantly remind people to do whatever they want that makes them happy, to be whoever they want and feel comfortable with it. That's amazing, the messages they want to give us by the lyrics of their songs as well. This picture also reminds me of the impact music had on my life. I can't find words to explain how much importance music has to me; it's just phenomenal that we aren't the only ones in the world feeling the same. Music is like my second best friend.
My teddy bear My teddy bear also means a lot to me. When I was a kid we were always together - everywhere I went to. It was like my little friend. The "goodbye" was hard to me but I accepted that I'm growing up and there is nothing wrong with that. Even though, it still belong belongs to a little part of my heart. Glasses My glasses are my next thing. That's kind of obvious why I have chosen them. It allows me to see the world around me more focused, without it I would literally see nothing. Tennis’ ball The following llowing thing is a tennis ball. It isn't a simple tennis ball; it symbolizes all the sports I have been through. I had been in Athletics for one year and half, Judo for two years, Skater Rolling for six years and Tennis now for two years. My life wouldn't surely be the same without sports. Let's say I’m kind of a sporty girl. Europe's Map Last but not least - a map. As everyone knows it is our continent, Europe, and it reminds me how much I love travelling. Until now I just had the chance to travel through Portugal, Spain, France, England and Scotland but hopefully anytime soon I will have the opportunity to know more about others. And with your help I may be one step closer to that...
Work made by Sofia André Swimming Cap: This is my current competition swimming cap and I chose as an object to define me because swimming is my favourite thing to do. I practice every day, mostly twice a day and, when the end of the week comes, exhausted but thrilled for being able to it. Swimming is a huge part of my life for long time now and thanks to it I
it

developed some important aspects like team work and respect for those who are in charge or other team members. Watch: As I said previously, most of my time is dedicated to swimming (and school, obviously) and little is the remaining time. For this reason it is very important for me to be on schedule. That way I can also enjoy some free time. So, my watch is my ally, it is with me every single day. Book “If I stay”: I love reading, so it wasn’t easy to pick a single book. I chose this one because it made me appreciate my family and those I love more. I also realized that I should enjoy life to the limit since you never know what can happen tomorrow. I’m also more careful about my actions and words. So this book helped me a lot to become a better human being. Calculator: Math is my favorite subject at school. I love numbers and I love Math. The calculator has to be one of the objects that define me because it can represent the “professional” side of me, the school part, which is the priority these years. Colour pencil: Drawing and painting have always been a constant in my life, I like it since I was little. These activities are a way of cleaning all the problems from my head, it helps me relax and it’s like I have my own world to be alone. Chocolate: Chocolate is my favourite “food”. I believe I couldn’t live in a world where chocolate doesn’t exist. Wooden Spoon: I really like to cook. I’ve started with desserts; I make them since I was tall enough to reach the kitchen sink. I’ve been practicing more elaborate meals that require some time and effort, which makes me appreciate a lot more others´ hard work, specially my parents´ when they have to cook meal after meal after meal. Photograph: In this picture are the three most important people in my life. My mom, my dad and my sister. My parents were, and still are, the key for my education and they led me to become this assertive, responsible and grown person I am today. My little sister is to whom I tell everything I’m going through, she is my partner in every play since she was born, she is my best friend. Map: This is the map of my home town, Marinha Grande. I chose it because, in spite of my great desire of travelling across the world and getting to know completely different places, I will never forget my roots, where I became myself and from where I keep the best memories. Bottle with sand: This sand is from São Pedro de Moel beach, the place where I spend my entire summer since I was little. My best memories are linked to this beach, the best days with friends and family.
Work made by Vitória Ruivo Why did I choose this postcard? I´m Portuguese and I´m really proud of my country and my culture. We are such friendly people. Why does this picture mean so much to me? This is my family and Lizzie. They are very important to me. Lizzie is an American girl who lived with me during a school year and now has come back for more 3 years.
What can´t I really live without? My cellphone, of course. I chat quite often with my friends and listen to music. What is my favourite hobby? I practice athletics. I love outdoor activities, and that is why I have chosen this sneaker, because I think that it describes how much running means to me. What can I do in my free times? I usually read a book because I think that reading is very important and it helps me improving my writing. Where are these keys from? They are from my home, in fact I´m a little bit cozy. I really enjoy stay at my place, studying, reading and watching TV. Why did I choose a lipstick? I chose this lipstick because I like fashion, make-up and so on. What is my weakness? Definitely I have a sweet tooth, that´s why I choose this treat. What´s my favourite thing to do on holidays? In my vacations I like to travel with my family and friends, especially to countries with a very hot weather. Why did I apply to this challenge? Because I like to know other countries, cultures, make friends and have different experiences in my life, that´s why I have chosen this globe.

To Whom it May Concern,
I am writing to apply for the position as a veterinary assistant. Along with this letter I am including my resume. I am only available to work part time given that I am currently a student.
I think this is an excellent opportunity to expand my skills not only in terms of the profession but also in learning how to work and communicate with others.
I have experience working part time in a stationary shop where I gained experience in working with others but I love animals and would be thrilled to use this opportunity to see if it is something I would be interested in pursuing in the future.
Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely, Victoria Ruivo
