Products Creative products and a customercentric ethos underpin family edgebanding firm’s reputation Cadre Components is a family-run edgebanding business based in Warrington, Cheshire. Established in 1998 by Steve Clark, today the company is run by his daughters, Helen Halliday, who deals with the purchasing and sales, and Sarah Talbot, who heads finance – their father having retired. “We service the furniture manufacturing industry, or indeed any industry that may have the use for plastic edgebanding material, predominantly ABS. This can be any type of company, from a yacht production company to kitchen manufactures and coffinmakers,” explains Helen. “We offer edgebandings in a variety of widths and thickness, ranging from 0.452mm thickness and in widths ranging from 12- through to 350mm wide. We also offer a special matching service – should a product be required that is not already listed on our website or available, then we look to see what options are obtainable. In addition to this, we also offer a cutting service should customers have their own material that needs to be cut – we will do this for them too.”

In a sector not immune to tales of customer frustration, it is pleasing to hear Cadre’s focus on customer service. Helen says: “As a company, I believe we are extremely conscientious. For us, going above and beyond for our customers is very much the norm. We can offer short lead times for special production items and quick colour-matching services – this can be for patterns ranging from wood effects through to marble and concrete effects, and only very rarely do we fail on matches – even for small quantities. We also work very closely with customers to obtain their specific requirements – we can offer this service within a 3-6 week lead time, sometimes sooner depending on the requirements.”
