Il Paesaggio sonoro / The Soundscape

La definizione di paesaggio sonoro interseca elementi di filosofia, antropologia e fisica, in un percorso che nel tempo ha attraversato generazioni e comunità. Il paesaggio sonoro può essere definito in breve come «la colonna sonora della nostra esistenza» partendo dai suoni che percepiamo involontariamente a quelli che invece cerchiamo e creiamo, come il suono di una campana di una chiesa, la musica della festa, un campanaccio al collo di un bue, cioè tutti quei suoni in cui la comunità si riconosce o riconosce la propria identità e appartenenza territo-

riale. Un paesaggio emozionale che relaziona il rumore, il silenzio, il sacro e il profano.

The definition of soundscape intersects elements of philosophy, anthropology and physics, in a path that has crossed generations and communities over time. The sounds in the landscape can be defined in short as “the soundtrack of our lives” starting from the sounds that we perceive involuntarily to those that we try to create, as the sound of a bell of a church, the music in a feast, the one produced by a bell hanging from the neck of an ox; in a word, all those sounds whereby a community recognizes or acknowledges its identity and belonging. An emotional landscape that connects noise, silence, the sacred, the profane.
