Fun Quiz

It’s official - My Local View Magazine is now 4 years old!

Page 22

Without trying to brag, I am delighted with the amount of support and feedback the magazine has been receiving, particularly over the last 12 months.

Wayne David

Judging by the number of local articles and submissions I am receiving it seems that lots of Caerphilly residents are enjoying the magazine...which is just the spur I need to want to make it even better over the next year.

Dr. Roger’s Gardening Column

In this issue, there is a true story about a lovely little girl called Libby. Libby’s mum, Susan has submitted an article about the shock of discovering her little girl had a rare form of Leukemia called AML, her long stay in hospital and thankfully her recovery. Also, The Caerphilly and District Twinning Association have submitted a short piece about an upcoming event in the Summer. Our What’s On Guide is rather full this month so there are no excuses when the Kids make the statement “I’m bored. What can I do?”

Libby’s Story

On 9th March 2009 our daughter Libby was diagnosed with Leukaemia which was a huge shock because she had not been ill. I had only taken her to the Doctor that particular day because she had a fever and had been sweating a lot. I also mentioned a rash she had on her arm a week before, I showed him a photo of it and he asked me to take her to U.H.W for a blood test and that’s how we found out. Her white blood cell count that day was 126, a healthy persons is between 2 & 6. We were admitted to the Children’s Oncology Ward that evening and started treatment straight away with blood and platelet transfusions. First they said she had ALL, a common type of Leukaemia in children which has a high recovery rate, then a few days later after a bone marrow aspiration, where they take a sample from her hip, they said actually its AML, which is rare in children, it mostly effects older people and doesn’t have as good a recovery rate. She started her chemotherapy 4 days after being admitted, it was a 10 day course which made her very sick, her hair went very thin and she lost quite a bit of weight. After a 20 day recovery period they did another bone marrow aspiration and the results were not good, the chemotherapy hadn’t had any effect at all on the Leukaemia. The consultant now confirmed that she actually had both ALL and AML, also known as Biphenotypic Leukaemia and while they thought the chemotherapy may have had some effect on the AML, it had just made room for the ALL to grow We were told that her only option was for a Bone Marrow Transplant but as they don’t do them in Wales, he would contact a few of his counterparts around the country and see who would take her. We said we would go anywhere, it didn’t matter how far so long as they did all they could to fix her. She had 2 more courses of a stronger chemo to get her into ‘remission’ ready for the Bone Marrow Transplant. Her chance of recovery was now put at 25%.

Bristol Children’s Hospital agreed to treat Libby so as soon as the Welsh Assembly agreed to fund her treatment it was all systems go. We were transferred to Bristol, they already had a donor lined up and she began her 10 days of preconditioning which is extremely high dose chemotherapy taking her body beyond lethal toxicity to kill off all her own bone marrow. On 23rd June she received her new Bone Marrow, in the form of stem cells from an umbilical cord donation from the USA. She stayed in isolation for 42 days while the stem cells grew into bone marrow, as she had no immune system whatsoever. She was extremely ill this time, this was her 4th course of chemo and each time the effects are worse than the last one. She was coughing up blood where the lining of her stomach had gone, she couldn’t speak, drink or eat and was on a morphine drip. She lost the remainder of her hair, her eyebrows and eyelashes and was fed through a tube in her nose. She didn’t actually eat any food for 28 days and we lost count of how many blood and platelet transfusions she had. Eventually we started to see some improvement, her blood counts were gradually increasing, she was sleeping less and asking for ice pops at first and then some food. Her chance of long term survival was put at 50%. She came home Mid August but wasn’t allowed to go

Deadline for our May issue is Weds 21st April at 10am

11 immune system fight off infections, which she will have to take for the rest of her life but she is due to start school in September.

out anywhere where there was a lot of people for at least 6 months She also had to follow a ‘clean’ diet, free from the risk of any bacteria. She mainly stayed in the house apart from our twice weekly check ups at Bristol on a Monday and Cardiff on a Thursday. She has amazed everyone with her recovery, her legs were weak when she came out due to muscle wastage but we got a trampoline and within weeks she was back to normal strength. She celebrated her 3rd birthday in September and her hair started growing back around November time. She still takes medicines every day to help her

Throughout all of this we have received so much help from LATCH who are a Welsh Children’s Cancer Charity and are based at the Children’s Hospital. They assign you a social worker who helps you fill out any forms, they provide luxury family accommodation above the hospital so you can move in and they even pay your parking fees and petrol costs. They also arrange Pamper days for the mums and activity days for the dads so you can have a day away from the hospital and meet up with other parents going through the same thing.

In April this year a charity called Ray of Sunshine will grant Libby’s wish to go to Euro Disney for 4 days. She is mad about anything Disney and can’t wait to have breakfast with the Princesses. Article provided by Libby’s mum, Susan Loveless, a Caerphilly Resident. Pictures are shown of Libby during various stages of her treatment and the last one shows her recovering well with her sister, Josie.

Running by Seb Hunter

Here are some strange words; ones I never thought I’d utter, yet alone write down: I am running a half marathon; and in under two weeks’ time. Well, eek. I have never run except briefly, at school, on the common in a navy blue vest pausing briefly within bushes for cigarettes. These were the days when running was still kind of idealistic; naïve; a game of football only with the football temporarily mislaid. How rangy we all were! Our internal organs didn’t have all this… fur.

Actually I have occasionally enjoyed the running. At first the pain was too much; my face, heart, lungs and legs were deeply etched with pain all the way around – felt gouged at, perhaps by a screwdriver. But then my body got used to it – it’s amazing how bodies can get used to stuff – and then I even received fleeting glimpses of that mythic thing known as the Zone. Nothing hurt for a whole thirty (downhill) seconds. And then I would run into tree again, and start crying, again. Things became considerably less tedious – because let’s face it, running is actually incredibly boring - two weeks into my training schedule when I belatedly realised that I could listen to music as I ran. And that listening to music might a) distract me from the pain, and b) inspire me to i) keep going, and ii) run slightly faster. Thus I began a strict auditioning process, quite literally road-testing various pieces of music in search of the ultimate piece of motivational audio-vascular distraction. The obvious initial choice, because of its unyielding relentlessness thereby performance elevation, was techno. Presumably one could hook up to the beat like plugging into the National Grid or something. However I’ve never been a full-on techno-head, and found it all too syntheticsounding. The sound of repetitive machines, no matter how feathered, is not conducive to a calm and functioning physiology. I also couldn’t keep up with the BPM; it felt like I was constantly in a Benny Hill chase scene. After a few more false starts, on a whim, I tried Anton Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony, and everything suddenly clicked. Here was a vast palate of fundamentally organic, physical sound that I could actually run inside. Deadline for our May issue is Weds 21st April at 10am

Hundreds of wooden and brass and whateverclarinets-are-made-of instruments sympathetically tickled, all captured in some big old concert hall on yards of old fashioned magnetic tape. At last, here was the musical nourishment my devastated knee joints had been craving all these… couple of days. It was like being in a film - a really long and rather boring film, perhaps following a glacier very slowly down a valley, but a film nevertheless. And I was the star; that interminable glacier was me. Even in the most prosaic of circumstances. For example: Standing with a stitch waiting for traffic lights to change in evening drizzle and gloom, with people in passing cars secretly laughing at you. Without music: somewhat humiliating With, say, techno: belittling With Bruckner’s Ninth: deeply humane Tripping and sprawling over a root on the footpath through the golf course, in front of two old ladies out walking their dogs. Without music: frankly pathetic With, say, techno: geeky and a bit tragic With Bruckner’s Ninth: noble Spitting but it going down your t-shirt instead and to cap that, those teenage girls over there saw it happen. Without music: probably an arrestable offence With, say, techno: like something out of an Adam Sandler film – i.e. inexcusable With Bruckner’s Ninth: avuncular On this uplifting note I bid you adieu. Wish me luck. Ready, steady, Chariots of Fire.

Colour Me Cool How often have you matched your eye shadow with your outfit, only to realise that the colours which suit you perfectly in clothes, don’t necessarily work on your eyes? We each have our own unique eye shadow palette. The suggestions below are a good starting point to find your perfect colour combination.

Blue

Blue eyes look good using grey, violet, taupe or purple. For a more vibrant look, use a deep shade of blue. A dramatic evening effect can be created by adding silver, fuchsia or turquoise. If your hair is blonde, then violet and lavender are the colours for you, but a combination of red hair and blue eyes calls for brown shades – with a gold shimmer to enhance evening make up.

...£28.00 ...£19.00 ...£13.00

Green eyes on redheaded women with pale skin should suit brownish pinks and purple shades, while those with darker skin can go for dark bronze and greens.

Good base colours for both skin tones include cream, mocha, taupe, peach, apricot, coral, soft purple and light green.

Brown

A shimmering cream, eggshell, champagne or apricot covering the entire eyelid gives the perfect base to bring brown eyes to life. Use dark brown or plum in the crease as a contrasting shade and to add depth.

Hazel

Women with hazel eyes have the best of all worlds, as their eyes can be made up to look classic, romantic or sexy using a full colour palette. They are able to mix and match – and will find most colours flattering.

Working from home

What women know by Ted Bruning

You learn a lot, working from home. Nobody does anything for you. It’s never anybody else’s turn to make the tea. There are no secretaries to do your photocopying and make sure you don’t run out of stationery and book your hotel. There’s no postroom to frank your letters. There’s no IT manager to tell you to turn it off and turn it on again. You have to learn that (a) these things have to be done and (b) they don’t do themselves. Basically, you’re on your own. But none of the office management functions you used to take for granted are particularly big deals. They’re not hard to learn. What is hard to learn is something that women have always known, and that’s how to run a household. I should stress that by “women” here, I mean the traditional stay-at-home wife-and-mother kind of woman, a breed that has pretty much vanished. Personally, I hardly know any traditional stayat-home wife-and-mother women: few of my friends could pay their mortgages without two salaries. My own wife works full-time – more than full-time, actually – as a teacher. And what that means is that, in common with many other men who work from home, I’ve had to take on the role of Domestic Operations Manager (that’s malespeak for “housewife”) myself. Most of it is pretty routine – the school run, the washing, the dishwasher, the top-up shopping, the dinner; the trick lies in fitting it all in round the incidental necessity of running a business and making a living. (And of course, I’m not so feminised as to be trusted with anything as complicated and skilled as the cleaning. The Cleaner does that. And she’s a woman). But there is one area of expertise that fills me with admiration for all those generations of women who’ve had to master it, and makes me think that the correct form of the verb “to master” ought to be “to mistress”. I refer, of course, to emergencies caused by malfunctioning domestic appliances. I was shocked to discover, when I started working from home, that appliances ranging from the toilet to the dishwasher and all items in between don’t always work as they should. Deadline for our May issue is Weds 21st April at 10am

And when they stop working it’s inevitably catastrophic, usually involves either improbably quantities of water or a worrying smell of burning, and always demands your complete and undivided attention. I was even more shocked to discover that the worst thing to do in an appliance emergency is open the Yellow Pages. Twice I’ve been badly ripped off, both times by the local agents of national franchises whose disastrous incompetence turned out to be bolstered by cast-iron call-out contracts. Your ability to cope with these emergencies, in the long-lost days of traditional stay-at-home wifeand-mother women, depended on successful networking. It involved wives and mothers chatting to other wives and mothers at coffee mornings, bus-stops, school gates, Post Office queues and so forth, and comparing notes on trustworthy local tradesman whose wives, children, dogs and addresses they knew personally, and who therefore wouldn’t dare deliver anything less than prompt and efficient service. Those days, I suppose, are gone. My alternative has usually been to go down the pub and, after a pint or two, ask if anyone knows a good plumber. Someone always does (it’s usually his brother-inlaw), but by that time the kitchen is under three feet of unidentifiable slime. There is, of course, another way, and that is to make sure there’s always a copy of this very organ next to the telephone...

Neighbourhood Policing

In every neighbourhood throughout the Gwent Police area, there are local officers working to deal with the issues that matter the most to their communities. This includes Bedwas and Caerphilly, where your local Neighbourhood Policing Teams work with partner organisations and residents to identify and tackle local crime and anti-social behaviour issues.

CONTACTING GWENT POLICE To report crime or incidents to Gwent Police, please phone 101. In an emergency, dial 999. You can also phone or e-mail your Neighbourhood Policing Team about local concerns.

Some issues may be simple to solve, whilst others may take weeks or months, or the situation may only be able to be improved.

Bedwas - 02920 857 454 BedwasNeighbourhoodPolicingTeam@ gwent.pnn.police.uk Caerphilly - 02920 857 453 CaerphillyNeighbourhoodPolicingTeam@ gwent.pnn.police.uk

Residents can let officers know about their local concerns through their PACT (Partnerships and Communities Together) meeting. This public meeting is held in each ward every four months. You can also pop into a police surgery in a local community facility, phone or e-mail your local officers, or speak to them when they are patrolling the area.

Log onto the Gwent Police website, www.gwent.police.uk, to see the current priorities for your neighbourhood, as well as the dates of your next local PACT meeting and police surgery.

Wayne David

Hope for the future As we move out of the recession, it is important for us to look to the future with optimism. That is why, the other week, I was delighted to have the opportunity to open a new technology development centre in Hengoed.

In opening the centre, I commented that Norgine was demonstrating a real commitment to the whole area and to its dedicated workforce.

Norgine is a specialist pharmaceutical company who have been based in the Hengoed area for some time. But the company has now decided to expand its Hengoed site with a new centre for research and development. It is anticipated that about 20 new jobs will be created through this £4 million investment.

Also at the opening was Baroness Finlay of Llandaff. Ilora Finlay is a recognised expert on palliative care and was delighted to be associated with what she sees as an extremely important venture.

The company aims to produce several new medicines at the technology centre and the company has no doubt that the technology centre will reinforce its already very positive international reputation. The centre will address clinical need with regard to stomach and blood related issues and pain management.

Although an international company, Norgine has become very much part of the Rhymney Valley. For example, a few years ago Norgine were kind enough to sponsor a concert at the House of Commons with Gilfach’s own pop singer James Fox. James, you may recall, represented Britain at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Dr Roger’s Gardening Surgery

It’s Sunflower time...again! So here’s the thing; I don’t like to repeat myself, no really – I don’t like to repeat myself … but last year, we, (that’s us, in the happy little ‘My Local view gardening club’) had a brief look at Sunflowers; we even considered some sort of a competition … the ‘S’ factor never quite happened, but it was always in the back of my mind that we could try again this year. Sunflowers have become quite a fashionable flower in recent years – and rightly so, what a colourful and cheerful show they give us. But as well as colourful flowers they also provide us with a second bonus benefit, and that is hundreds of Sunflower seeds. My beloved is an avid feeder of wild birds in the little portion of paradise we call ‘our garden’. Her favourite bird seed is, funnily enough, Sunflower seeds. Our feathered friends can’t get enough of them – squabbling and squeaking every time the feeders are refilled. In the autumn, it’s lovely to watch small Birds such as Blue Tits hanging on to the large dying Sunflower heads, as they feast on all the seeds. So you see growing sunflowers is a great way to encourage wild birds to your garden.

Something else I have noticed as a result of all these sunflowers being grown, is the appearance of sunflower seedlings in unusual places. The seeds must be carried by the wind, or birds, and germinate in unplanned places. I have seen big bold Sunflowers growing as ‘weeds’ in dainty little hanging baskets. My favourite was a tiny little ‘bonsai sunflower’ growing in the crack between two kerbstones with nothing but a bit of cement dust to grow in; it should have been at least 6 foot high, but was no more than 4 inches ‘high’ but in flower and perfectly formed …against all odds. So please remember to watch out for sunflowers in unusual places this summer and let us know – preferably with a photo too. PS if you want to grow your own Sunflowers, April is a good time to start sowing seed. It is always good to hear from you on 07891 285 166 or apairofcrookes@lcsuk.net.

Health Watch

Preventing Eye Strain By Lorraine Mace

Today’s lifestyles mean we spend far too much time staring at computer screens or squinting at tiny technological gadgets – all of which can place strain on our eyes. Although there is no definitive test which proves the strain causes permanent damage (although many claim it does), this overuse of our eyes can produce a number of uncomfortable side effects including sore eyes, neck ache, headaches and general feelings of stress and anxiety. Fortunately, it’s fairly easy to counteract this without even leaving our desks. Daily eye exercises can help to tone eye muscles and also ease the feelings of tension generated by overtaxing our eyes. You may even gain some vision improvement over a period of time. When carrying out the exercises, it is important to keep your eyes open and your head still. Blink frequently It is a known fact that we blink far less when watching television or using the computer. Blinking is nature’s way of resting our eyes for brief periods and keeping the eyes clean. First relax, then blink every three to four seconds for a two minute period. Do this every hour or so during the day and you should notice a reduction in eye strain. Increasing eye flexibility An easy exercise to improve eye flexibility is to imagine a giant figure of eight on its side. Follow the outline of the figure with your eyes, very slowly. Don’t forget to keep your head still and only move your eyes. Follow the line in one direction for a couple of minutes and then do so in the reverse direction for another two minutes. It may take a few days to get used to doing this exercise, but it is well worth persevering with it. Improving focus Sitting in a comfortable position, stretch out your arm and focus on your thumb. Bring your thumb to within three inches of your face, keeping your eyes focussed on it. Stretch out your arm again, still Deadline for our May issue is Weds 21st April at 10am

focussing on your thumb. If this is done for a few minutes, two or three times a day, it should help to strengthen your focussing skills. How to relax your eyes Relieving stress around the eyes is easily done at any time, even during a short break from working on the computer. Get comfortable and then lean forward. You can rest your elbows on a desk or on your knees. Close your eyes. Place your hands over your eyes, with your fingers on your forehead and the heel of your hand on your cheekbone, making a cup of your hands. Do not put pressure on your eyes and make sure you are able to blink without obstruction. The object of this exercise is to rest your eyes for a few minutes at a time. There isn’t anything more to it, but, if you do this a few times a day, you’ll find it will make a huge difference to your general stress level. The above exercises and the relaxation technique are intended only as a few simple steps towards easing eye strain and general tension. If you suffer from specific eyesight problems, or prolonged stress, you should seek professional advice.

Ti a Fi Tonyfelin

Siarad Cymraeg? Meddwl am anfon eich plentyn i Ysgol Gymraeg? If you are thinking of sending your child to a Welsh medium primary school or simply want to get a taste of the Welsh language, why not come along on a Friday morning to Ti a Fi. Ti a Fi Tonyfelin is a parent/guardian and toddler group that welcomes children from birth up to school age. The playgroup encourages learning and play through the medium of welsh with a structured two hour session that includes interactive free play followed by story telling, craft and songs. Whether you are a welsh speaker, a welsh learner, or have no knowledge of welsh at all, you and your little one will receive a warm welcome and the opportunity to mix with other parents and children in your local catchment area. The group is run by a committee of volunteers and is fully registered and insured with the support of the Mudiad Ysgolion Meithrin (www.mym.co.uk). We are a registered charity and fundraising plays an important part of the group’s success.

Last year we were able to host a summer trip to Folly Farm for the whole family. We also held a table top sale, a trader’s sale day, fancy dress parties, photograph sessions, and welsh book sales. Keep your eyes peeled for forthcoming fun activities and fundraising events, including a Table Top sale at St Martin’s Lesser Church Hall, on Saturday 24 April, 2010 from 10am-1pm. If you are interested in coming along, we meet every Friday morning during term time in Tonyfelin Chapel, Bedwas Road, Caerphilly. Our session runs from 10am until 12pm and includes snacks and refreshments. If you would like further information or would like to support us by donating any craft equipment, toys or books, please contact us on 07884378186. Thank You. Diolch. Financial Focus

Financial Focus | Critical Illness cover Did you know that illnesses such as cancer or heart attack, affects one-in-four women and one-in-five men before retirement age? Could you manage financially if you were unable to work due to diagnosis and subsequent treatment of a critical illness? Critical illness insurance is designed to ease the financial pressures should you become critically ill or totally disabled, though not all conditions are covered. For single people with no dependants, critical illness cover that pays off the mortgage could be more important than having life cover, as it may mean you have a lump sum to cover ongoing living expenses if you are very unwell and unable to work. It can also be useful for couples or families, as a lump sum payment can be used to reduce financial hardship at a time of emotional stress. Critical illness insurance pays benefits on the diagnosis of certain specified critical illnesses, the range of which differs from one company to another.

There are also different ways your premium can be calculated, such as being guaranteed not to change, or reviewed on a periodic basis, and therefore independent financial advice is very important when choosing the provider of critical illness cover. I have seen the results where policies have been claimed upon. It makes a difference to peoples lives. I have seen people use the money to pay off all or part of their mortgage, go on a luxury family holiday, save for the children’s university cost or to help with the deposit for a son or daughter’s new home. How you use the money is entirely up to you, the difference it makes at this important time is unimaginable. Paolo Roberts. Independent Financial Advisor paoloroberts@hhpg.net Paolo lives in Caerphilly and been advising clients in the area for many years.

Who needs a Games Console?

If you are looking for a way to help your child develop their creative potential you could consider theatrical arts as a fun activity for them. Local dance teacher and theatrical arts lover, Lisa Williams founded Dance Factor & Stage Factor Theatre Academy in 2007 to give children aged between 3yrs and 16yrs the chance to learn new skills through the medium of dance & theatre. Dance Academy: Lisa told us “We run fun and exciting dance classes for boys and girls ages 3-16yrs. We cover a wide range of styles including Hip-Hop, Street, Freestyle, Jazz, Disco, Contemporary and more recently Ballet. We meet every Friday at St Cenydd Leisure Caerphilly at 5.30pm.

“It’s about children realising their full potential and believing in themselves” There are regular chances to perform and take Dance & Drama Medal Tests. The main academy (see ad below) combines the disciplines of dancing, singing and acting but we have other classes where the focus is one of the activities. Caerphilly to host Twinning Visitors The visitors will arrive on Friday evening and leave early on Tuesday morning. Saturday and Monday are full day excursions for the visitors, with evening meals and socials for the hosts and guests. The highlight of the visit is the Gala Dinner in Caerphilly Castle on Monday evening. Sunday is spent with the hosts, a chance to visit local places of interest.

Caerphilly and District Twinning Association will host visitors from Lannion in Brittany, France, over the weekend of July 30th to August 3rd. Visits are organised every year, alternating between France and Wales. The Association is looking for new members to become involved in these exchanges, particularly people who are able to act as hosts.

If you are able to offer a warm welcome and accommodation to one or more of our French friends why not get in touch? The Association covers all ages, single people, couples and families and the aim is to match hosts and visitors. A few words of French are useful but not essential, a sense of fun is far more important. For more information visit our web site at www.caerphillytwinning.org.uk or contact Jayne or John on 02920 851479

Thought for the Month

Who ripped the curtain? One of my favourite versus in the Bible is Mark 15 verse 38. It tells us what happened just as Jesus breathed his last on the cross. As he died, so the curtain in the temple was torn from top to bottom….this is so very important; the whole story of the Bible, covering thousands of years and thousands of verses is hidden away in this one verse. Why? Well this was no ordinary curtain. It was huge. Apparently it would have taken a large team of seamstresses up to a year to make, it was very thick and heavy …and very strong. This curtains purpose was to keep people out the Holiest place in the Jewish temple – where the awesome presence of GOD resided. It was a barrier. This barrier had for thousands of years stood as a reminder that GOD was separate from

man, and only the select few could enter beyond the curtain under strict rules. But over the years GOD had said that he wanted to be amongst all his people … but who would dare to rip the curtain? The rules said that sacrifice and cleansing was required before the select priests could go through the curtain. Something happened when Jesus was sacrificed that first Easter: it was a full and final payment. The way was clear, and GOD wasted no time in tearing the curtain from top to bottom – so that we could go in, and he could come out to join us in our everyday lives… it was as if he was dying to meet us…. The Legal Eagle

Fault based Divorce reforms As divorce rates continue to increase, the debate to reform our existing fault based system becomes more topical. Our divorce laws at present provide only one ground for divorce, the irretrievable breakdown of the marriage. In order for that to be established the person commencing the proceedings has to rely on one of the following facts: 1. That their spouse has committed adultery 2. That their spouse has behaved unreasonably and as such they can no longer be expected to live with them. 3. That their spouse has deserted them 4. That there has been two years separation and their spouse agrees to the divorce 5. That there has been a five year separation. Parties who have separated therefore have the choice of waiting the two or five years before proceeding with the divorce or alternatively choosing one of the other three facts and in effect blaming their spouse for the breakdown of the marriage. Clearly proceeding in this way can raise tensions in what is already a difficult situation. This can often introduce acrimony which has not previously existed. This can then have a knock on effect on the other

issues flowing from the breakdown of the marriage including financial matters and arrangements for the children. Our laws in relation to financial and children issues, particularly with emphasis on mediation over recent years are clearly designed to promote a constructive approach. In contrast our ongoing fault based divorce system can be argued to be out dated and unnecessarily confrontational. Another school of thought, however, submit that requiring parties to undergo a period of separation i.e. two or five years. This, therefore, protects the institution of marriage which would be undermined if we introduced a divorce system that did not require allegations of behaviour or adultery. Our machines commonly clean cinemas & bars, so when you call us to clean your home you will experience a far superior & much faster cleaning process, basically the same service as our big commercial clients How does it Work? Our machines are fixed into the vehicles, they run on fuel & have their own water tank, similar to a fire engine, we simply run 2 pipes into your home, the 1st pipe is similar to a jet-wash which sprays our 100% safe detergent solutions into the carpet, the second pipe disperses steam at 240 degrees Fahrenheit hot enough to kill germs, bacteria & all carpet bugs which then gets extracted into our on board waste tank. This process is the best; most thorough clean you can have for your home
