Envi Jewellers is an experience designed around you
nvi Jewellers, a hidden gem located in the historic Grant Hall Hotel, is not your average small-town jeweller. The boutique is built on a foundation of quality pieces and a level of service that’s second-to-none. Owned by long-time jewellers and mother-daughter duo Chris and Julie Tressel, this truly is Moose Jaw’s jewellery store. “My mom managed a local jewellery store for over 20 years, and I worked with her,” says Julie. “She retired for a while and the other jewellers here closed. I took up a small space in another shop to do repairs, and an opportunity came up.” The opportunity was a space for a jewellery shop in the gorgeous Grant Hall Hotel, and Julie leapt at it.
Envi Jewellers opened its doors on July 6, 2021, and they haven’t looked back since. This locally owned and operated jeweller is proud to carry fine rings, earrings, necklaces, watches and more. The store carries the brands you’d find in a big city shop. There are beautiful Canadian diamonds in every shape, size and setting—both mined and lab grown. The store is also more than just diamonds. You’ll also find an array of designer
watches from Bulova, Citizen and Caravelle New York. With options at every price point, this is the place to find jewellery you’ll love forever.
If you’re looking for a piece of jewellery that’s one-of-a-kind, Envi Jewellers can create custom pieces just for you. They will work with you one on one to make your customized dream piece come to life. “We have many people come in with a bag of old gold jewellery and we turn those old pieces into something incredible,” says Julie. They can also restore jewellery back to their former glory, plus handle any jewellery repair you might need. Find out what makes Envi Jewellers so special. It’s worth the trip to Moose Jaw to take a look. Let Julie and Chris work their magic and help you select the perfect gift for someone special, or a treat just for you. Open Monday from 12 pm to 4 pm and Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm in the Grant Hall Hotel, you’ll find plenty to look at and love. You can also follow them on Facebook and Instagram, and visit them online at envijewellersmj.ca.

SANTA LUCIA PIZZA started way back in 1971 when the Simeonidis’ Family opened a little take out pizzeria in Thompson, Manitoba while working at the Inco Nickel mines. With their great tasting food and great value, Santa Lucia became the busiest pizzeria in Thompson. In 1974, the family moved to Winnipeg and opened another location. Many more followed and in 1990, the company went international in Fargo, North Dakota. As the years have passed, one thing has remained the same: sticking to their family’s tradition of making fresh dough, bread, sauces, salad dressings, and the traditional Greek foods, all from scratch. Five years ago, Santa Lucia made its way to Saskatoon (winning the Consumer Choice Award for best pizza four years in a row), and has now made a home in Regina - bringing their award-winning pizza, pasta, chicken, ribs and more to the city. We warmly invite you to enjoy a meal and experience for yourself the heritage of the Simeonidis Family.

Celebshave Estheticians too
very other day it seems like another celebrity or influencer has either “created” a new skincare line or signed a lucrative contract with a beauty company. For the next few months it seems like people everywhere are talking about this newest, latest and greatest product and hype ingredients. I feel like we all know what’s next. People try the entire line and use it just like our fave celebutante do and then, sadly, can't figure out why our skin doesn’t look like theirs.
Most celebrities have estheticians and dermatologists that help them care for their skin, creating customized treatment for their star-quality skin.
Just like I can’t put on J. Lo’s epic green dress and look just like her, celebrity skincare routines are more often than not what they appear to be, nor are they necessarily what is best for our pretty skin.
Upon digging in a little deeper into the hype you’ll realize your local esthetician has been using HY-ALU-RO-NIC acid in your skincare treatments and products for decades. This was not new or a seldom-used ingredient. It was simply presented in a clever way, on primetime T.V. with a stunning actress sharing her secret with the world.
So, what’s a person to do? The answer is that it’s even easier than perusing Google for hours or walking a wear pattern in the flooring of a chain beauty store. Book an appointment for a consultation or a skincare treatment with your local esthetician. They are all trained extensively in skincare and want the very best for you and your skin. A long term relationship with your “esthie” is like the one you develop with your hairstylist. They learn about the intricacies of your skin, and are your best bet in meeting your skincare goals.
In the meantime we’ve
routine.
1. Wear sunscreen. Every. Day.
2. Don’t pick your pretty skin.
3. Cleanse gently.
4. Cleansing cloths are not proper skincare. Open the package only in case of emergency.
5. Use a toner to balance your skin's PH.
6. Hydrate, moisturize and oil your skin.
7. Use serums specific to your skin.
8. Don’t overuse acids, even if you have blemishes.
9. Exfoliate gently and be careful not to overuse.
10. Be gentle with your skin during your cycle. Use this as a good time to use your face masks and at-home massage to get you through.
11. Sleep, eat and move well.
12. Stress is a glow killer.
13. Smoking, vaping and alcohol use do not give us good skin.
14. Be gentle with yourself. You deserve it.
Celebrities and influencers don’t have a secret. They just use the tools that estheticians and dermatologists have to offer. Our skin glows when it’s at its best, healthiest version and can change quite quickly with the right care.

ARE ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA
Bedazzle yourself this season with beautiful baubles, bags and more
Every outfit needs its “icing” to really stand out and wow the world. Check out our list of fabulous jewellery, handbags, shoes and more to shine this winter.
More than just the moon. Crescent shaped bags are small and dynamic, and a great look for winter. Pairing well with boots and a coat, they are a fabulous look for both work and Sunday brunch.
Look up, way up. Just like hardware-like bags, platforms have blasted out of the 1990s and into the 2020s. Platform boots are also great for winter’s weather.

Shiny and cool. Silver is here to add gleam to your style. Remove the gold you’ve been sporting and add hints of this cool-toned metal both for work and play.
Have a heart. Probably the most popular shape of jewellery given to women, hearts have made their way back to…our hearts. Keep it simple with something as easy as a pendant on a simple cord.
Hardware for the win. Big grommets, studs and straps are back from the 1990s and working it on shoulder bags. Find your inner Spice Girl and rock this look.

Get cuffed. Cuff bracelets, whether on the wrist or up higher on the arm, are still hot on the runway. They’re a great way to take an outfit from day to evening. Stack thin and thick cuffs together for a bold look.

Grandma’s pearls are in again. Oysters are onto something, and it is pearls. Pearls are a timeless look that is both chic and classic.

Hit the lanes. Bowling bags can carry more than a ball. Both practical and stylish, bowling-style bags can carry what you need and look chic at the same time.
Look up, way up. Just like hardware-like bags, platforms have blasted out of the 1990s and into the 2020s. Platform boots are also great for winter’s weather.

Big, practical and cool. Chunky loafers are bringing prep school chic to your feet, pairing beautifully with bold knots and straight leg jeans.
Throw them ‘cross your shoulder. Long earrings have arrived, and they are grazing shoulders in a big way. These statement pieces upgrade any look instantly.

Yeehaw, sort of. It’s not the cowboy boot – it’s the Western boot. Cleaner lines and without the busy design, Western boots take the lines of a cowboy and create a stylish shape that works for office and casual looks.

Gift ideas for everyone on your shopping list

Self-care for her (or him). Everyone deserves to be pampered with an aromatherapy candle, slippers and sleep mask, facial kit and bathrobe. Sweet delights. Tuck gourmet hot chocolate, coffee or tea into a handmade pottery mug, place into a poly bag and top with locally made candy and chocolates.

Make it a movie night. Fill a large bowl with pop, popcorn and seasonings, chips and movie theatre-sized candy boxes. Add some DVDs or a gift card for a streaming service. It’s perfect for family nights in all winter long. Caffeine fix. For the coffee lover in your life, think about gourmet beans, a grinder, a fun mug (regular or togo), and a milk frother. Don’t forget a gift card to their favourite local coffee bar. If you have a tea granny on your list, swap the beans for tea leaves or
bags, and the grinder for a teapot or kettle. There are also great local tea shops that can supply what you need.

Give the gift of reading. Books never go out of style. Check out the plethora of local authors that serve up fiction and non-fiction for all ages.
Games galore. Games have never been more popular. Your local game store can show you what’s new and classic in the gaming world for players of all ages. Give a game with some snacks and drinks to make it an event.
Here’s our list of gift ideas to wow the ones you love this Christmas!
The holidays will soon be upon us, and there’s no time like the present (pun attended) to get started on the shopping.
Puzzles are also a great gift and provide hours of entertainment.

Fun with fish. Set up a sushi lover with a bamboo rolling mat, sushi rice, vinegar and seaweed. Toss in a gift card to the local fish market to find the fresh ingredients to make sushi at home.

Let’s go outside. For the outdoorsy types in your life, consider a flashlight or headlamp, sleeping bag, lantern, waterproof socks, fishing lures, sunglasses or water bottles.

For the cook. Consider gourmet oils and vinegars, fine spices and quality kitchen tools. Tuck them into oven mitts or wrap them in cute dish towels or an apron. Garden fun. A pretty plant makes a great gift for novice and pro gardeners. Also think about plant pots, seeds, grow lights, watering cans, gardening gloves and gardener’s hand lotion.

Laughter is the Best Medicine
Wait!!! What??
Isn’t this another ad for a couple of clothing stores? Sure it is!

So why the headline? It’s a philosophy we share. We make it feel like you are here with your friends
Trina Johnson, owner of Trino’s Menswear, and Gaynor Novak, owner of Bib and Tucker Clothing feel that one important aspect of the shopping experience has been lost. Amongst Amazon, Winners, and Walmart transactions to name a few, people have forgotten what it’s like to experience personal service. We have not forgotten this. It’s at the core of who we are.
Trino’s Menswear opened in 2007 and Bib and Tucker Clothing opened in 2014. And in 2018 we moved both businesses to Riverbend Plaza on Quance Street. It’s been a great marriage providing fashionable clothing and accessories for men and women in a one-stop shop setting
We are strong believers in supporting local and that it is so important for so many reasons. As we get closer to the holiday season, we wanted to share why shopping small should be part of your holiday shopping (and all year round) check-list!

• It’s More Personal. Unlike chain stores or shopping online, we get to know you. Personal service is at the core of who we are. It feels good to look good and feeling good breeds confidence! We’re passionate about what we do and trust us when we say, we aren’t in it
to impersonal department stores. It’s like 1960s air service vs today’s service…pretzels anyone?
• Customer Service. When you come to visit you’ll get to know us and over time, we’ll get to know you better. This means you get a personal and exceptional customer service experience. We truly want to help you find the best outfit, trendiest piece, or perfect shoes that will make you feel like a million bucks and we want to make sure you leave happy.
• Shop Small. Feel Good. By spending money locally, you can keep more money circulating in our very own community. It’s a great way to feel good about

where your money is going. And we all like to feel good.
• Skip the Hype & Buy What You Like. Trends are constantly coming and going. We handpick what we carry. We bring in what you like. (okay once in a while we miss the mark and find out nobody really did want those See-Through Plastic Jeans or Cowboy Boot Sandals but that’s only happened once in 10 years.) We’re also able to take personal requests into consideration when shopping for our customers!
• Keep the Small Town Charm. Our stores are tailored to you. We know your name.

• Take Advantage of Our Expertise. We have done the research on the latest trends and timeless pieces so you don’t have to. Our amazing staff knows what’s in our stores and how things fit.

• Shorter Lines. This is a no-brainer, who wants to stand in a line?

• Not Everything is Online. There are some things that we like to keep just in-store. When you pop into one of our stores, you’ll find items that are for an exclusive personal shopping experience.

We love what we do and it shows. Stop by to see us at 2739 and 2741 E Quance Street. We’re right next door to each other. You can’t miss it!

RIESLING
UnWINEd with The Wine Cellar

he Wine Cellar has been supplying the Queen City with the very best in wine making supplies—and the advice and facilities to make and bottle wine—for 28 years. The wine making company opened in 1994 in what was the “old Superstore”, spent 20 years in Regal Plaza, and now calls 2300 Dewdney Avenue in the Warehouse District home.

The owners, Heike Edwards and John Doerksen, and the Wine Cellar team love to share their passion for creating quality wines with everyone interested in giving winemaking a try. “Making wine is fun, and it’s easy,” says Heike. “Our on premise winery is the perfect place to have us make your wine, or, of course, you can make it at home yourself. We’re always here to help you with that.”
Kits Aplenty
The Wine Cellar carries the kits you’ll need to get started in the winemaking process. They offer four, six and eight-week kits that create wines for all tastes and budgets. Offering a great selection of reds, whites and rosés, their quality wine kits are just like the wines you find at the liquor store and cost far less per bottle.
The Wine Cellar’s on-premises winery is state-of-the-art, sanitized and controlled, and designed to make your wine in a few easy steps. First, you pick your kit and add the yeast into your juice. Then, under the guidance of their Winemaker, your kit is turned into wine at The Wine Cellar in four to eight weeks, depending on the kit you selected. When your wine is ready, it’s filtered and then it’s time for you to bottle it at the store with their help, using their winery bottle filler, corker and shrink cap machine. This is also the time to add some great labels, if you so choose. Your last step is taking it home to enjoy.
Beer and More

until potatoes are tender. One hour before serving, add beef and bacon to slow cooker. In a pan, add butter and melt over medium heat. Add flour and cook until golden and bubbly (one to two minutes). Whisk in milk, salt and pepper. Pour into slow cooker and stir to combine. Add cheese and stir to combine. Cover with lid and cook until cheese is melted. Serve with buns and salad.

Irish Beef Stew

2 tbsp. olive oil 2½ lb. stewing beef, cut into large cubes 3/4 tsp salt ¾ tsp black pepper 3 garlic cloves, minced 2 yellow onions, chopped 6 strips bacon, diced 3 tbsp all-purpose flour 2 cups water 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce Two beef bouillon cubes 4 tbsp tomato paste 3 cups beef broth 3 carrots, peeled and cut into ½” pieces 2 large celery stalks, cut into 1” pieces 2 bay leaves 1 tsp. dried thyme
Sprinkle beef with salt and pepper. In a large pot, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add beef in small batches and brown on all sides. Remove, and repeat with remaining beef, removing all beef to a plate. Lower heat to medium and add garlic and onion. You may need to add a little oil if the pot is dry. Cook onion and garlic for about three minutes and then add bacon. Cook until bacon is browned, and then add carrots and celery and stir. Add flour and stir for one minute. Pour in water, broth and worcestershire sauce and stir. Add in beef bouillon cubes and tomato paste. Mix well, ensuring flour is blended in. Add bay leaves, thyme and beef. Liquid should just cover ingredients. Lower heat to a gentle bubble, cover and cook for two hours or until beef is tender. Remove lid and simmer for another 30-45 minutes until beef falls apart and sauce is reduced and slightly thickened. Remove bay leaves and serve with mashed potatoes, biscuits or buns.

“The Greatest Gift is Love”
who understand. Through these “Priceless Connections” we hope to offer solace for the Bereaved this Christmas season. 2021 will mark the 24th Annual Mourning Star Christmas Service for the Bereaved and will take place December 2nd at 7pm at our W.J.Jones & Son Chapel 474 Hochelaga St. W., Moose Jaw.

he greatest gift is love” is a phrase that flows so sweetly from the lips of the Andrea Bocelli family in their newest album, "A Family Christmas.” It’s that time of year when the Christmas music has begun and the yule sales are being advertised, and the aisles are showing the sparkling addition of festive ornaments. If you have experienced the death of a precious family member, then just seeing the term “Christmas” might be eliciting big feelings. While each season of the year has its milestones and markers that cause grief upsurges in the bereaved, Christmas, for many, because of the family traditions that it is built around, is the most difficult time of the year after loss. While the airwaves are ringing with the sentiment that “It’s the most wonderful time of the year….”, the heart of many bereaved are feeling the opposite. If you identify with this, we want you to know that we hear you. We see you. We wrap love and light around you and understand that these reactions need to be acknowledged and honoured and given space to process. While the album title “A Family Christmas” may cause a grief reaction, the melody and meaning of the song within the album, “The Greatest Gift” offers a balm for the suffering soul this season.
Priceless Connections
That comment is made so often after the death of a loved one. People describe the experience of awakening in the morning, and for a brief milli-second feeling “normal”, and then the rush of reality slams their heart, leaving them in the tsunami and surrealness of the truth that their loved one is gone. It is an overwhelming journey through tsunami waves as life reminds us over and again that our loved one is in fact no longer here. The grief journey is a step-by-step process that in this very moment is being journeyed by innumerable individuals and families. It is for this very reason that W.J. Jones & Son Funeral Services offer Grief Support Services. Our Grief Support Groups are our way of offering a “safe space” for people to “gather” (during COVID via ZOOM). In the safety of those who “understand” and “do not judge,”we come together to support each other on a journey that for some has
“The greatest gift is love.” It’s true. Of all the gifts in the world,
courage and stating your wishes, the information is now clearly out there in the open, offering a direction when it is needed. Talking about death does not make it come faster. Talking about end-of-life issues is a crucial conversation that can free us so we can live in peace until the end. Recently, I had the honour of sitting with a family to discuss their loved one’s end of life. And while they came seeking answers, what I gave them were questions to ponder, so they could discover their own answers. I posed such questions as: What do YOU want? When you consider the visitation, who do you want to be there/who do you believe needs to be there? Do you even want one? When you picture the ceremony, what location do YOU picture it? What space do you visualize having the atmosphere and layout that YOU want? When you consider the ceremony, who do you want to speak / what message do you want to convey / what symbols do you want highlighted that honour this precious life/what music do you want to lift up? When you consider burial/scattering, what space do you feel would serve to honour their life most fittingly and would serve your sense of connection for visits? We sat with the questions, and were in awe at the answers that rose up from within each of them. And in that sacred time, this family had the most honest and courageous conversation that left them knowing where they stood as individuals and together. Opinions were shared. Rationales were given. And realizations were made. It was a crucial conversation that left them feeling a glimmer of peace. Was it easy? Not at all. Was it worth it? Most definitely!
In my role as a member of our local hospice board, I recently hosted a virtual seminar on Advanced Care Planning, and in that session the point was made very clearly by a lawyer, a palliative care physician, and a family member that conversations about health care directives and advanced care planning are invaluable. As our hospice motto says: “We cannot change the outcome, but we can affect the journey.” We affirmed that these conversations can affect the journey and support the end-of-life experience.
the greatest gift truly is love. And therein lies the rub: love is the whole reason we grieve. Queen Elizabeth II, who will be mourned by her own family this Christmas, gifted us a quote that has resonated in the bereavement communities ever since she said it after 9-11: "Grief is the price we pay for loving”. She was so right. It is because we loved deeply that we grieve deeply. And, it is that love that will be the greatest gift in healing your ache of grief. Through this trifecta of love, healing can happen:
been the hardest journey they have ever been on. Together, participants connect to themselves and their personal grief; to each other in mutual support; and to their beloveds in new ways. These groups have made a profound difference in people’s lives as they process the reality of their loss in a safe and supportive atmosphere; gain coping strategies for the day-to-day challenges; and discern best options for their way forward.
❤ Loving yourself enough to exercise the self care you need for healing
❤ Loving your beloved in a whole new way that leaves you feeling connected
❤ Loving Life and the gifts it still has to offer you
How do you begin these conversations? Start with yourself. Write down your own thoughts on all of these topics and then consider who needs to know this information. When you inform them, ask them if they too have considered these thoughts for their own life, and offer to support them in finding their own answers. Share this article with someone as a bridge to having this conversation and ask, “Have you ever thought about this?” Talk with your family doctor and let them know your wishes. Talk with a lawyer. Talk with the funeral home. There are people who are not only open to having these conversations, but are trained in how to navigate them with you and offer the support you need to gently address your final wishes with you.
As a part of our Grief Support Services, W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Services host an annual Mourning Star Christmas Service for the Bereaved, offering the Bereaved a serene space to prepare their hearts for the season that more than any other season of the year amplifies the “missing” of a loved one. This year, Mourning Star’s theme will be "Priceless Connections." Through music, memorial ornaments and messages of hope we will gather (honouring COVID protocols) and gift our community with a safe space to “connect” with their heart, to “feel connected” to their beloved, and be “connected” with others
Each Christmas, W.J.Jones & Son Funeral Home in Moose Jaw offer the Mourning Star Christmas Service for the Bereaved. This year it will take place December 8th at 7:30 pm. In the serenity of our sanctuary, we offer a Ceremony to nurture the Bereaved, honouring their pain, their love, and all that the season evokes. This year, we will draw on the theme: “The Greatest Gift,” inspired by the Bocelli family, and we will gift each attendee with a memorial ornament to signify that

It is said that “talk is cheap”, but I’d like to suggest that “crucial conversations” are invaluable. Here’s to finding the courage to have those crucial conversations.
The season of Christmas is so often filled with family traditions, and it is in those traditions that the surrealness of that missing person evades our heart and mind. It is our great hope that if you are experiencing profound loss that you embrace the “priceless connections” that serve your heart well, and offer healing hope.
meaning. And it is our hope that the love we pour into that time together will be healing for the hearts of those who gather, and a support for their journey through the season of Christmas.

Winter is here and it’s not going anywhere for quite a while. Think months—you all know the drill because you live in Saskatchewan. As the wind blows and the snow flies, there is no better time to make your home a warm and inviting place to hunker down until spring. Let’s get started!

Layer up
Just like when you head outdoors during the winter, your home’s warmth and coziness needs layers. Start with a monochromatic palette with aneutral colour as your base—in a warm tone, like a modern beige or a warm grey. Don’t be afraid to include pops of colour—colour will add to the cozy feeling you’re trying to create.
Textures will your next layer and this part is so important. Think of bulky knit throws, wicker baskets and fabric window treatments to add coziness. They should work together, but not match. Area rugs can also warm up a room’s feeling and also literally keep you warmer. Feet prefer to land on comfortable rugs and not cold floors in the winter.
Snuggle in
Next, add comfortable cushions and throws. Fleeces, big knits and cushions you can sink into can create a place you’ll never want to leave, and that’s the point. We would also add a wicker basket for blanket storage.

Lighting is also key to creating a cozy oasis. Warm lighting from well-placed lamps can do a lot, as can candles. Whether you choose real candles or lighting that looks like candles, soft lighting can make a space even more inviting. If you opt for real candles, we suggest beeswax candles. They’re a gorgeous colour, smell wonderful without overwhelming the room, and even purify the air.
Cows and trees
Surprisingly, leather can help your room feel cozy. It’s another layer of texture that can add warmth. Think about an ottoman or leather décor pieces to add that natural element. The same is true for wood. Warm-toned woods can elevate cozy with a well-placed side table or bookshelf.
Speaking of tables, a big coffee table kicks up the cozy. You can use it for storage and for snacks, or to put your feet up. A tray can act as a décor piece and also hold books, a mug of something warm and your many remote controls.
Sit down
Cozy seating is also vital to capture those warm and fuzzy feelings. There is perhaps no greater cozy chair than the papasan. Perfect for the living room, bedroom, family room or tucked by a window, we dare you to sit in one and not stay in it for hours.

Go green
Plants add both colour and flair to a room. Well-placed plants can add another layer of cozy and look great at the same time. If you have a black thumb, go with something artificial—we won’t tell. If you’re going for real plants, we love succulents, spider plants, ferns and African violets for that important cozy feel.

Get together
Possibly the most important factor in cozy feelings is people (and pets). A cozy space feels cozy when there are people enjoying it. Whether its just you and the cat with a good book and mug of something warm, or the whole gang gathered to watch a movie or the game, your space will feel wonderful with the ones you love.

Protecting YOUR New Vehicle
Another wonderful option is Replacement or Repair Cost Coverage
– if you purchase a BRAND NEW OR USED VEHICLE (up to 10 years old), you can purchase replacement cost coverage which protects you against depreciation in the event of a total loss.

Coverage features
1. This coverage may be purchased anytime within 120 days of taking delivery of your vehicle.
2. Damaged parts will be replaced with new parts (not salvaged parts).
3. If your vehicle is a total loss during the first 60 months from the date you took delivery, we will replace your vehicle with a brand new vehicle of the same make and model.
And, if the loss occurs in the second or third year after you bought the vehicle, we’ll pay you an additional amount to cover inflation.
4. You will get MORE coverage over the normal “gap coverage” offered by other insurers. Gap coverage only makes up the difference between what you owe at the time of loss and the actual cash value settlement. Gap coverage doesn’t protect the original cash down payment or the depreciation on the vehicle.
5. New auto accessories added within 120 days after you purchased your vehicle are also covered.
6. Dents that can be repaired without repainting are covered for losses under $150 for policies with a $50, $100 or $200 deductible. The deductible is waived on these losses.
Did you Know…
Many Saskatchewan residents have basic plate insurance that provides:
• $700.00 deductible
• $200,000.00 liability
But often this is not enough. Traveling outside the province or on rural roads can expose you to greater risks of being sued, colliding with an underinsured driver, hitting wildlife, or damaging your glass.
To ensure you have the right coverage, you may need to combine your basic plate insurance with an Auto Pak tailored just for you.
An Auto Pak
will:
• Protect your financial assets - by providing coverage in the event of a lawsuit against you.
• Lower your deductible – you can choose limits between $50 to $500.
• Waive your deductible – if you are involved in an accident with wildlife or if damage occurs resulting from a fire, lightning, or theft.
• Rental car coverage – with current supply chain issues, your car may be in the repair shop for a week or even a month or more as they wait for parts to arrive!!! We provide coverage for a rental car and any damages to the rental vehicle.
7. Your deductible will be waived if the vehicle has been deemed a total loss.
Sleep easy protection
Keeping your vehicle looking brand new is simple with this optional coverage. Give us a call today and let us help protect YOUR vehicle.

Dab with white vinegar before washing
Lipstick: Scrape off colour, pre-treat with stain remover and wash
Foundation or salad dressing: Spot treat with dish soap and wash on hot
Sweat: Mix equal parts of lemon juice and water, add salt to make a scrub for area. Treat with scrub and wash.
Chocolate: Treat with stain remover to pre-treat and wash.
Soy sauce: Rinse in cold water, dab with ammonia. Then pre-treat with stain remover before washing.
Ketchup: Rinse in cold water from the back, then sponge with white vinegar before washing.

FIND YOUR NEW HOME
here’s nothing like a brand-new home to call your very own. Regina’s Crawford Homes has been building incredible places to love for more than 40 years, and this fall, they have another amazing space to check out in the city’s south end.

You have to see it to believe it
Crawford Homes has another new show home to share with Regina—this time at 4001 Waterer Street in Regina’s Harbour Landing neighbourhood.
This 1711 square-foot two-story home features three bedrooms and two and a half baths over two floors, not to mention the basement, ready for you to develop. The large entry invites you into an open concept living space with nine-foot ceilings that is both stylish and functional.
CRAWFORD HOMES BUILDS HOMES YOU’LL LOVE
The great room has a fireplace feature wall, with black marble stone—the perfect place to spend a Saskatchewan winter with the ones you love. The kitchen has on-trend matte gray cabinetry with blonde wood toned trim and plenty of natural light. The dining nook offers plenty of space to enjoy a family meal or host friends for a get-together.
The main floor also offers a mudroom with custom built lockers and a butler’s pantry with walk-through access to the kitchen. There’s also a powder room and access to the double attached garage. “There is no wasted space with this floor plan, our new Juniper design,” says Kaitin Bashutski, Crawford Homes’ creative director. “It’s incredibly well-planned.”
Upstairs, you’ll find a bonus room which can work for another seating area, a home office, a kids play area or whatever your heart desires. There is also two good-sized bedrooms, a second-floor laundry and full bathroom with double sinks. You can also close off the sinks to the bath and toilet, so two people can share the space with privacy for both. “It’s fantastic for kids to share,” says Kaitlin. The primary suite is an oasis you can’t wait to come home to.
Besides the wonderful space for a bedroom suite, there is a massive walk-in closet and four-piece bath with a 60-inch shower.

Close to parks, schools and all of Harbour Landing’s amenities, this home is move-in ready. Plus, it’s one of the few new homes left to buy in the area. “Harbour Landing is nearly complete as a neighbourhood,” says Kaitlin. “There are no new phases available, so when you move in, you’re not living in a construction zone. We have a few lots left, so if this home isn’t ‘the one’, we still have the space to build your dream home in this great area.”

reaming of a new kitchen, but dreading the idea of a major renovation? There are many reasons to be reluctant to take the plunge on a new kitchen—time, cost, or simply not knowing where to start. However, there is a solution that can deliver you a new kitchen without a major time or budget obligation. Regina’s Kitchens Renewed has been transforming kitchens since 2007 and cutting down on both the expense and the commitment needed to renew a space. Owner Roberta Kotowich and her team can take your existing kitchen and turn it into something amazing within days. “If you are happy with your existing kitchen layout, refacing is the perfect option to renovate your space into something that is both aesthetically pleasing and functional,” says Roberta.

Step by step
The refacing process is straightforward. Once you pick your style from their more than 20 different door styles and 40 colour options during your in-home consultation the transformation will begin. Kitchens Renewed will remove and dispose of your old cabinet doors, drawer fronts and hardware. They can modify your existing cabinet boxes to modernize your kitchen and maximize your storage such as converting your lower cabinets doors to drawers or raising cabinets to accommodate new appliances. They can also

Next, they will prepare the outside surfaces of your existing cabinet boxes and apply matching 3D laminate veneer just like at the cabinet manufacturing facility; however, this work is done on-site. Finally, Kitchens Renewed adds new, high quality, made-in-Canada doors, softclose hinges, slides, and hardware. They can also coordinate the installation of new countertops and tile backsplashes to complete the look. The best part is that refacing can provide you with a quality, stylish kitchen with less time, money, and waste than a traditional renovation. “Most installations can occur in a few days and will save you up to 40 per cent compared to a new kitchen,” says Roberta. “The environmental advantage is that cabinet boxes that are still useful are not unnecessarily being sent to the landfill.”

The Great Debate –SELL VS STAY
Making the decision to sell your house can be a tough one. Knowing if it’s the right time can be hard to determine. Here is some advice on the factors to consider before deciding to sell.

Mortgage Rates
Historically, sellers have the best success when interest rates are low, and more buyers are shopping. The uncertainty around continued rate hikes, may indicate a good time to consider selling. Bear in mind that when interest rates go up, home values and offer prices can come down depending on demand. That doesn’t mean it’s a bad time to sell; it just means you should evaluate your selling objectives and consider if you might benefit from waiting.

Housing Inventory
As always, selling your home can be more profitable, when supply is low and demand is high. When supply is high and demand is low, selling your home may not be as profitable as you would like.
Relocation
You may need to move for a job, a family medical crisis, or divorce and selling your home may be the only option. Changes to the family situation is probably the biggest reason we see moves happen.

Home Value
If you have lived in your current home a long time, or if property values in your neighborhood have increased so you have a large amount of home equity, now might be a good time to sell. However, you don’t want to move when your home is considered “upside down,” meaning you owe more than your home is worth.
Living Space
For many homeowners, downsizing can be a necessity, either for financial, mobility, or other health reasons. If maintaining your home has become difficult, now might be a good time to sell. Or, perhaps you need more room because your family is growing, maybe an elderly relative or child is coming to live with you and the need is to upsize your home.
Finances
Due to changes in your income or other financial setbacks, selling your home now may be the only way you can avoid foreclosure and give yourself back control over your finances. If you’re in this situation, selling now may be wiser than waiting, given the current economy. On the flipside, if you have taken advantage of low mortgage rates to refinance and ease financial hardship, now may not be the time to sell.
If you’re happy and content in your home, it meets your needs and you can afford it, staying put maybe the best option. However, if more (or less) space, another neighborhood, or another style of home keeps you thinking about a move this might be the perfect time to make it happen! As always, a professional real estate agent can help you make the decision that works best for you.
Create a winter bucket list

askatchewan winters can be long, dark and cold. However, they don’t have to be boring! Make the most of this winter with your very own bucket list of things to see, do and enjoy all season long. Go sledding. Grab the crazy carpet or the toboggan and head out to the neighbourhood hill for an afternoon of slippery fun. End the adventure with hot chocolate (and plenty of marshmallows) and homemade popcorn as you recount your best runs of the day.
Make a snowman. The best time to make a snowman is when it’s just below freezing, so the snow sticks and rolls well. Make a whole army and impress the neighbours with your skills.
Hit the rink. Chances are, you spend time at the rink in this hockey-obsessed country. However, how often do you strap on the skates just for fun? With indoor and outdoor rinks scattered around the city, take some time to go for a skate just because.

Host a winter bonfire. Who says fires are just for the summer? Bundle up the gang and head outdoors for a frosty fire. You can still roast hot dogs and marshmallows in the dead of winter. Light up the night and imbibe with some hot chocolate and favourite liqueur while you’re at it.

See a game. Whether you love hockey or curling, there’s also something going on at the local rink. Check out the up-and-coming talent or enjoy some beer league action. Don’t forget the rink burger either!
Bowling. When was the last time you checked out the lanes? Bowling is fun for the whole family on a cold afternoon or evening. See how many strikes you can score. Skiing on the plains. We might not have the mountains of Alberta, B.C., or Montana but who says you can’t ski here?

Downhill slopes can be found within an hour or so, and there’s always cross-country trails to test your endurance. Soak in the springs. Not all winter activities have to be outdoors. Moose Jaw’s famous mineral spa and its indoor-outdoor pool is a great way to wile away a day.

Frost is coming back!
Last February, Regina saw the launch of the firstever Frost festival and it was a rousing success. It’s back for another year on February 3 to 12, 2023. This incredible celebration of winter is spread throughout Regina and it’s fun for all ages. Learn more and plan your visit at frostregina.com.

Rest your aching bones and bliss out. Or, head up to Watrous and Manitou Springs to float, float, float.
Capture the memories. Who says family photos can only be taken in the summer or fall? Not us! Winter can make a beautiful backdrop for a picture you’ll treasure forever.
