Welcome! MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGER
ecaneM motnahP ehT ,nniJ noG-iuQ-- .ytilaer ruoy senimreted sucof ruoY
This month, tying into “Public Works Week," we are pleased to showcase the Sanitation and Streets Departments! The sanitation team of hardworking professionals labor tirelessly to ensure all trash and waste is collected and hauled to the landfill. The men and women of the streets department work hard to maintain over 50 miles of streets, curb, gutter, sidewalks, signs, and storm water systems, amongst many other tasks. Whenever you see these guys and gals, remember to tell them thank you for what they do! Now that the Fieldhouse project is complete and open, we are full steam ahead on summer events. How great it is to be able to get back outside, without restriction, to celebrate our awesome community? We are pleased to bring you many summer activities, including our weekly Thursday Night Live! and concerts in the Park. Look for the schedule in this edition of the newsletter and come join us every Thursday downtown for great concerts, local talent, vendors, food trucks, and even a mechanical bull! We are also very excited to have “Movies in the Park” this year on three occasions. Immediately preceding the movie, we will be conducting a Q&A session with myself, the Mayor and the Police Chief. So, come down to City Park on June 8 around 8:00 p.m. for our first Fireside Chat and a showing of “Harry and the Hendersons." Again, I hope you enjoy the information included in this month’s edition. I look forward to showcasing more departments and projects in the coming months. And THANK YOU for all you do!
