ARMIDALE HIGH SCHOOL Outstanding 2012 HSC Results Results at AHS were again exceptionally pleasing. • Thomas Mof¿tt (Drama) • Darcy Newberry-Dupe (Drama) • Khusbu Sharma (Mathematics) • Fiona Thomson (Hospitality)
Band six (and E4) results were achieved in English, Mathematics, Physics, Drama, Music and Hospitality. Many (12) students made the distinguished students list:
Many students narrowly missed Band 6 results, with 65 attaining Band 5 and 8 achieving the equivalent E3 result; a total of 73 students, all of whom deserve warm congratulations for their diligence.
• Nicholas Degotardi (Drama, Mathematics) • Manon Drielsma (Drama, Extension English 2) • Ingrid Fittler (Music 1) • Lachlan Harper (Drama) • Toby Hemmings (Drama) • Mitchell Knox (Mathematics, Physics) • Emily Little (Music 2 and Music Extension) • Maximillian Makeham (Drama)
Armidale High School’s Drama results continued to be very impressive. Six students were nominated for On Stage for their Outstanding HSC Drama works (Lachlan Harper, Jack Grigg, Toby Hemmings, Thomas Mof¿tt, Darcy Newberry-Dupe, Manon Drielsma). This extraordinary result from Ms Penny McCue’s Drama class was also reÀected in exceptional HSC examination results; 39% of students in that class scoring band 6s (which was better than the state performance in Drama by
a factor of 3); an astonishing 78% of the class getting band 5 or 6. In Music, Emily Little was nominated for Encore for outstanding music performance and cemented this result with a band six and E4 her HSC Music examination (Music 2 and music Extension). She was joined by Ingrid Fittler who also gained a band 6 (Music 1).
