i Kada. You're a local singer-songwriter from Sawtell. Tell us about yourself and your life here. I moved to Sawtell 13 years ago, where I met my now husband, Barney Miller, a month later. We have two beautiful girl bulldogs, Byrdie and Bowie, who are the loves of our lives and might just be the world's most spoilt dogs. I am revived in nature, feel most at home by the ocean and like to live in a world of pure imagination. How old were you when you began to

play music, and who have been your biggest musical influences? I have sang since the moment I could make sounds come out of my mouth, and I have played the piano since I was seven. I was classically trained for seven years and have been writing my own music since I was 12. I grew up listening to a mix of music from gospel choirs to pop, but my biggest musical influences growing up were Alicia Keys and Jewel. I loved Alicia for her piano playing and vocal runs, and Jewel for her art of storytelling through music. This inspired me to share my own stories.
