Remembrance Tour Group package tour based at the Castel Les Sorbiers and the Domein Westhoek If the Great War remains a mystery to you, this 5-day break will be your opportunity to discover the memorial sites and battlefields in the company of a guide. The Remembrance Tour will take you to Verdun, Dinant and Namur and into the region of Charleroi, among others, finishing in Flanders and the pivotal town of Ypres.

This full-board itinerary (drinks with meals included) includes 2 nights at the Castel Les Sorbiers and 2 nights at the Domein Westhoek.

Day 1: Arrival at the Castel Les Sorbiers, welcome aperitif and 3-course lunch. Afternoon, departure for Dinant, for an evocation of the massacres of August 1914 and a visit of the Citadel.

Day 2: Day in Verdun, scene of one of the bloodiest battle of the First World War. Includes, among others, a visit of the Memorial Museum, the Ossuary of Douaumont, the Argonne battlefields.

Day 3: In the afternoon, set off for Namur for a discovery of the Forts of the Fortified Position there and a visit of the Citadel. After lunch at the Castel Les Sorbiers, move on to the Domein Westhoek.

Hot and cold buffet served in the evening. En route, stop for a historical look at the Battle of Charleroi with a tour of the cemeteries of Tamines and Auvelais.

Day 4: The day gets off to a start with a breath of fresh air on a guided tour of the seaside town of Nieuport. Followed by a 3-course menu at the Domein Westhoek. In the afternoon, move on to the Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 and the In Flanders Fields Museum. In the evening, meal at the 't Ganzeke restaurant in Ypres and Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate.

Day 5: The Remembrance Tour concludes with a hearty breakfast at the Domein Westhoek.
